Came to bimmer barn to have them look over my car before the track. I thank my lucky stars that Steve stopped me before going any further. The car was in disrepair and need a serious lifeline operation. They replaced my rod bearings just in time to save the engine, among many other things.

They were patient enough to explain the details and show all the parts that came off and why. As well as respected when I choose to do some of the repairs myself. I'll be coming to them for more to keep my E90 M3 on the road for another 150000 miles.

Steve and his talented team of BMW techs are TOP NOTCH. They service and maintain my 2019 540i, my wife’s 2019 X3M40i and my daughters 2013 X1. From winter tire packages to routine maintenance and repairs. Honesty doesn’t begin to describe the high ethical and moral character that Steve uses to run his shop. I’d highly recommend anyone who needs their early or late model BMW serviced or maintained stop in to talk with Steve.

I've known Steve and his crew for over 20 years and they continue to do a phenomenal job servicing my cars and at a great price. They've always taken the time to go over everything concerning the car(s) so that I understand and so that there are never any surprises. Steve at Vicari Motors is the reason why I felt comfortable buying another CPO BMW - I felt safe knowing that I had found a great repair shop for when my warranty expires.

Steve is a straight shooter, very knowledgeable, took the time to explain exactly what broke on my car and what needed to be fixed, and his prices are reasonable. He even fixed a problem that I could not quite articulate (and had forgotten to tell him about) that had been present since I purchased my car and now it drives better than ever. I live roughly an hour away from his shop and the trip is definitely worth it.

Be warned, he is usually booked at least two-weeks out so you may need to be patient to get an appointment but that certainly speaks volumes about the quality of his operation.

I want to thank Steve and his crew for a great job on my 87, 535 you know a business is good when another mechanic shop recommends them I went there thinking I have one leak. Steve’s skill level and knowledge of BMWs is second to none. I’ve been taking my BMW to Steve for over 4 years now, and he has consistently done an excellent job. Both Steve and Jessie are courteous and patient, and will explain to you in detail what your car requires to run like new. The shop in Branchburg is convenient to get to and is very clean. Before finding Vicari Motors, taking my BMW to the dealer gave me anxiety. Now, I actually look forward to going to talk with Steve. Bottom line is this, if you don’t take your BMW to Vicari Motors for repair, THEN DON’T BUY A BMW!

I wouldn't think of owning a BMW without Steve's service. Over the years he's kept all of our BMWs in pristine working condition and they have reached over 150,000 miles. Steve kept our 1991 3 series going well over 200,000 miles and our current wagon is approaching that milestone too.

My 2003 BMW 530i reached end of life after I put about 250,000 miles on it over a 14 year period and I wanted to find a pre-owned replacement BMW 5 series car with specific features for less than $15K. I was referred to Vicari Motors, Inc. where I discussed my needs with Steve Vicari. He agreed to take on the challenge of finding an acceptable car for me within my budget at the used car auction he continually monitors. It was a difficult assignment and Steve told me I would have to be patient until the right car for me became available. His depth of experience from decades of servicing BMWs helped guide him as to which model years, engine types and odometer readings to look for and which to stay away from in order for me to avoid potentially punishing repair bills down the road. After a couple of months of searching, Steve found a beautiful, low mileage 2009 BMW 528i with the features I wanted. He then serviced the car for modest repair fees to bring it up to what I consider "like new" condition while still keeping within my $15K budget. On top of all that, he took over an hour of his time to patiently explain to me the car's user controls that are more advanced and complex than my former 2003 530i. All in all, I am thrilled with my "new" car and the customer service I've received from Vicari Motors.

Have confidence that your BMW is in highly competent hands. Not only do they care about doing the job right with OEM parts but they also act as your partner in caring for your car. We have an older high-mileage 530XiT and when the repair estimate added up to more than the car's Blue Book Value they selflessly suggested exploring alternative options. No better place to take your BMW!

Highly recommend this shop! Long story short, my car battery died so I (stupidly) brought it to BMW of Morristown. They replaced the battery assuming that was the issue and were incorrect. Now out $550, I was recommended to Steve. It turned out my front windshield, replaced by Safelite 5 years ago, was leaking rain water into my fuse box and fried the components. Not only did Steve fix the fuse box, but he helped me get every penny paid for by Safelite (~$3,400 worth of damage). He also helped me get the original $550 from BMW of Morristown paid for as well!

Along with this, my car was returned with ZERO dash lights. I’ve had lights for around 3 years so a clear dash is a beautiful sight! He even went so far to tidy up my trunk and put everything neatly in a box. That’s going the extra mile! Thanks Steve. I will be back for sure!

Steve is a great guy who knows his stuff and provides awesome personal service. One of my BMWs has over 340,000 miles and I credit the longevity in a large degree to the service that I've received from Vicari Motors. They are worth the drive.

I came across Vicari Motors in 2006 after having a repair problem with my 2008 328i that the dealer couldn't resolve. Steve Vicari correctly diagnosed the problem over the telephone, at no charge (I had already spent $1200 at the dealer with no joy).
We now have 2 BMWs and the only place we consider for service is Vicari. Steve and the other mechanics are trustworthy and reasonably inexpensive. We get personal service at far less cost than the dealer.
You cannot possibly go wrong getting BMW service at Vicari.

Owner Steve Vicari knows Beemers! For 25 years, BMW is all he services and his expertise and knowledge is on display with every servicing performed. His attention to detail and thorough explanation of issue and service performed are clear even to non mechanical clients. I've been using him for years servicing both my BMWs and would go nowhere else.

Steve was very thorough in explaining the work for which I brought in my 1997 Z3 and very helpful in identifying other maintenance items that I should consider to keep my 20+ year old automotive asset in top running condition. He also freely gave me a reference for a convertible top specialist who can address a problem that he felt could be better resolved by them. I gather a sense of honesty.

I have been having my bmw serviced by Steve Vicari since 2014 when I broke down 1/2 mile from his shop, then located in Frenchtown. From that first experience, when he drove to pick up my car & repaired it while I had dinner with friends, His BMW knowledge & customer service are simply the best. He is now located on Rt 202 N in Branchberg, NJ and I’ve been coming regularly for tune ups and repairs. I trust Steve & his team.

Let me start with a question... how many privately owned, sole proprietorships have managed to remain in in business for 30 years? That is all that needs to be mentioned about Bimmer Barn/VMI... obviously things have been done correctly for a very, very long time. As for the personal experience -- you're not going to find a better technician for your BMW. The shop adheres to the proper service intervals and using only the proper OEM parts; quite simply -- it is done the right way. If you care about your BMW, there is no other place to take your vehicle.

Started more than 15 years ago. Anyone I know who has a BMW is tired of me telling them stories about the great experiences I had getting my series of BMWs serviced by Steve or buying cars through him. Trust based long term relationships like this are rare.
