There are a lot of wineries in the area, but to me, the best reside along Cayuga Lake!! Between the food choices at some to the great vintages at others you can find it all along this lake!!

Lots of great new wineries on the tour. Very knowledgeable people every where we went. Many have food options now which is great. Buttonwood was our favorite. The service was so good. They offered a cheese and bread plate with the tasting. Plus the location and tasting room were beautiful.

We recently visited Cayuga Lakes Region and used the pamphlet from the Wine Trail. We only had 2 days, unfortunately, but managed to visit 6 wineries, plus several other places (cheese factory, fruit and veg.stands, Sauders Grocery Store, It's a Wonderful Life Museum and Bridge). We loved the diversity in the wineries! Each one unique! Loved that we could bring our little dog along! Yes, the tastings were pricey, but we expected that. Most wineries explained the wines and several that had pre-arranged tasting choices, allowed substitutions. You could also add another for $2. We bought a few bottles at each stop, and usually something at the gift shop, if they had one. The towns along the way usually have a little cafe where you can get lunch. Don't forget to go on the east side of the lake! The beautiful farmland along the way was a big part of our enjoyment. My husband, who is not the wine enthusiast I am, enjoyed the liquor and hard cider tastings. We will most certainly come back and this time we will allow more time! We came in late August and it was not crowded.

We recently attended your Holiday Shopping Spree Event. I would like to say that this was our 2nd year doing this particular event, we have done many others on your trail. Love them all. The only displeasure we have encountered while doing these events - 1. some wineries really need to have someone outside monitoring the limos. We have encountered at a few that after they have dropped off the people they block the driveway. 2. And this is a big issue in my mind people should NOT be allowed to bring their animals to these events, especially when there is food involved. A person that we were with was actually bitten by someone's dog when they went to throw away their sample cup. Thank you
