Port Sandusky Family Restaurant

I love the port, especially when I was in my early 20s it was very affordable after me and some friends had a night out we could all manage to go to the port the next day and get a really good home cooked meal. I also love they keep it a vintage aesthetic look. Good memories from this place!

Clean, delicious, tasty breakfast, not greasy. A new fav spot for an amazing breakfast on a leisurely morning. I had a simple and incredibly well-prepared plate of scrabled eggs, bacon and potatoes. I added a croissant which they toasted to perfection in a pan it appeared. Made myself a breakky sandwich with that - which was unmatched in the deliciousness category. Omelets and potatoes were thoroughly enjoyed by other family members. Also tried out the blueberry pancake- it was fluffy, just not super blueberry tasting- which is okay-some people may like it that way.
Sign inside reads something to the effect that they do not sacrifice quality for speed, this is true. They are short on help. Only gave 3 stars for service only due to very long wait but it did not take away my enjoyment of my meal for me, as I was there to connect with family and relax. Staff was polite. My advice is to thoroughly enjoy an amazing breakfast at this classic spot WHEN and only when you can sit and enjoy your time NOT be in a hurry. Bring along a great friend or book that you want to catch up with.

Absolutely amazing food at a stay at home price. Want to go get fresh home made breakfast and not have to spend a fortune getting everything everyone wants go to Port. Super small but well worth the wait! Go support small business. My favorite ❤

Came back on Saturday at 11 am. Their busiest time. My girlfriend and I were fortunate enough to find seating at the bar right away. Got our coffees and placed our order within 5 minutes. It took over an hour to get our food. I'm am STILL not taking away a star. The ladies were very hospitable, refilled my coffee each time I emptied it, about 4 times while I waited. Most patrons were cool and cucumbers as they waited (the wait is expected on Saturdays). The food was delicious when it did arrive and the portions are so big. Nothing to complain about. Sure, I wish it came quicker, but what can you do when every table and barstool in the establishment is filled. Still marking it as a favorite on my map.

From Thursday: What an amazing establishment. The breakfast rocked, and the prices were so good. I had the omelette special (Bratwurst & Cheese) with potatoes inside the omelette. That was delicious!

My girlfriend ordered the mushroom omelette and that tasted wonderful. She ordered a side of French toast and some bacon, and it was like a third meal we shared.

Awesome establishment, and the service was great. My coffee and water never emptied. Wonderful people.

Hometown locals best kept secret been going here over 25 years! So believe me when I say this place is in EVERYONE BUGET, never had bad food or service, the specials and entire menu CAN NOT be beat. You really get more than what you pay for. Big Mans Breakfast includes 3 eggs, hashbrowns, toast, 7 Pcs of bacon, and 2 sausage patties! Warning: You may have to wait a little longer for your food, but it's worth the wait! You're getting five star food at a 2 star price!!!

WOW! What a gem of a place. Absolutely awesome home cooked style meals. Unbelievable prices and super generous helpings. This is one of those places that looks unassuming both outside and in but the food is perfect. We went for breakfast on the recommendation of our hotel staff.

Incredible family-friendly atmosphere. The food was filling and absolutely delicious. Coffee cup never hit the bottom because they kept it topped off. Best of all, you're not going to find any better price for eating out. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We love this little diner downtown Sandusky. The owners are so nice Always giving great service. Great food and their prices are the best in town!

I order the captain's breakfast - over easy eggs, bacon, extra crispy potatoes, and rye toast. Still, I can't finish it all, and the price is right.

Don't be in a rush for this little hole in the wall.

Possibly the best hidden gem in all of Sandusky. You will not get a better breakfast than the one you will get here, I promise you. DO NOT come here expecting a quick "in and out" meal. It will easily be an hour or so before your food gets to your table. But once it does, you will forget about the wait. Patience is a virtue, and you will feel virtuous after the experience. Highest recommendation.

We first found this place in 2021 when we came to cedar point. 2 years later we made sure to come back to here the next day after cedar point. The food is great, the prices are phenomenal and the atmosphere and service is the absolute best. Hands down this will be our breakfast go to spot when we come to Sandusky before heading home.

Wonderful food. Very small place but I would eat here over any other breakfast place. All 4 of us loved our food. The prices were phenomenal for the quality and amount of food.

So GOOD!! GREAT AMERICAN FOOD. The pancakes are huge. Biscuits and gravy were some of the best I've had. I was stuffed!!! And the prices are so low. Can't wait to go back. Expect to have a few minutes before you get your food because like they say,' good food takes time to prepare". Go there hungry. Leave completely satisfied. 😁😁😁

Our family loves to support family owned local businesses. This one is always a favorite for our family when we visit Sandusky. If you want a home cooked meal, this is the place to eat! Food is always delicious and a great value!

Small place with a big surprise! Lots to choose from, large proportions,and amazing prices!! This is a family owned and run business with one grill so expect to spend some time relaxing before your meal arrives as it's well worth the wait!!

So sweet , people were rude and she was still sweet and stayed positive the whole time . Love this place been a couple times whenever we come up to visit family. Always awesome and great service they always try their best.

Came in on Wednesday about 11:30 AM. There was a few people in the place so we sat down.
The entire staff was super friendly and Sherry the owner was extremely nice.
Two of us ordered the pile high breakfast. The food was totally excellent! The coffee tastes great and is refilled often.
I would expect that it would take a while to get food during the warm months when cedar point is open.
The prices of everything were so much less than what we expected!

My wife’s from Sandusky. The Port of Sandusky Restaurant is as much of “ A MUST “ as Cedar Point is. These ladies , this FAMILY has it figured out. Home cooked meals at a great value/price. If in the area long enough to eat , eat here!!!
