This is an excellent area for wildlife, one of the best spots for grasslands birds in the area. It's a nice easy hike, but very little shade, so be prepared for sun if it's sunny. Because it's a big open area you really can't get lost, either.

Walk along the fence towards the barn to reach the main part of the park without having to wade throat the little stream which is right ahead at the entrance.

Nice trails but no shade so be prepared. Water is a good idea if you are there during the heat of the day. We saw Grasshopper Sparrow and Dicsissel. Lots of Song Sparrow and Redwing blackbirds. Spotted Sandpiper and another we could not identify. No facilities except one porta-pottie. Recommended.

Awesome spot for bird and butterflies watching and photography and if you're lucky enough you might see a fox or an outlet might come down

Great place for birding with a variety of habitat including grassland for Bobolinks and Dickcissels along with some ponds towards the back for a variety of other birds.
