Boat House of Marietta (Boathouse BBQ)

Great location right on the river. Staff was excellent and very helpful. We loved the lobster dip appetizer! Shared a combo plate with brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage and ribs enjoyed it all! Love the choices for sauce.

Our first time here. We went on Labor Day, so most restaurants were closed. We waited about 40 minutes to get seat.
The restaurant is not too big, but their foods are great! The hot dog and the meat were so delicious! We’re pretty sure will be back again!
But they don’t have too much beer options.

WONDERFUL place to grab food. We went there for our 2 year wedding anniversary and we ended up going there twice within our stay!! We loved it so much. The Food is amazing, great taste and quality, everything that we tried was never a disappointment. The staff is ever so friendly and does not feel pushy or like they don't want to be there. The prices to me are absolutely FAIR! I mean you get great quality food, quality taste, quality view, a wonderful staff, and an array of places to sit.
You can sit outside, you can sit in like an enclosed porch, you can sit inside, or you can sit inside at the bar.

After a long day of riding back roads, we decided to stop here for dinner. We pulled up right at 5 on a Saturday, and the place was packed! I was still able to find parking, and when I got inside I was surprised. It's so much bigger than it looks! We were seated right away with quick attentive service. The views were great, and food was amazing. The dry rub on the ribs has too much salt and it kind of ruins it but they still had so much flavor and spice. I got the combo and everything I tried was smokey and spot on. Prices were fair and portions big enough I had some to take home. Will definitely make the trip back.

Decided to go to Boathouse BBQ for our first date. Atmosphere was nice, if a little dim. But that served to add to the romantic ambiance. Our server was very nice and gave us plenty of time to peruse the menu. Food came out hot, delicious, and perfectly seasoned. When my boyfriend accidentally knocked over his drink, staff were quick to clean it up, and asked if everything was okay.

Overall, the food was amazing, the staff were nice and accommodating, the atmosphere was lovely, and we had a great time

The food here was amazing and the portions were great at a fair price!! We got to sit by the river and had a great view while enjoying an amazing meal!! Cody, our server, was so nice and he brought us out refills before we even had to ask. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's comparable to mission bbq but better prices and portions. I would def recommend it and will come back when back in the area! Went on a Saturday around 7 and only had to wait 15 minutes for a table.

First visit, and it did not disappoint. Sat outside and watched the river traffic. Food was great. Brisket melts in your mouth. My husband's ribs were delicious. Not fancy, just come-as-you-are comfortable.

I went there for lunch with friend. What a good decision we made. I ordered bbq rib, and it was just perfect. Service was excellent, and pricewise just about right

Everything was amazing aside from the people we were seated next to. We ended up asking to move to a different spot bc they were very loud, drunk, and were saying some pretty gross things.

The food was amazing both quality and quantity. The service was friendly and quick. We will be back

Arrived, River breaking the banks, both inside and outside dining busting at the seams. Waiters and waitresses bustling all about and I knew instantly we chose a local favorite, hidden gem in the tri-state. Food was excellent, waitress was on top of it, friendly and inviting. I can't wait to go back. I'll definitely drive the 90 minutes just for a bite. I highly recommend you make this a stop as you pass through.

Visiting from out of town and found this wonderful BBQ spot. Very, very good BBQ. We had the meat combo so we could try all of their meats and it didn't disappoint! All of the cuts were delicious, especially the brisket which I appreciated the crispy grill on the outside. Love how juicy everything was. BBQ sauces available at the table, all meats come naked which is awesome, no need to hide the wonderful smoked flavor with sauce. The atmosphere is great too, they have a bar area as well as outside seating. With it being settled on the edge of the OH river the views are definitely an added treat as well as the lush greenery. Loved the giant chair in the back, fun little add on the outside. It was a busy spot but we were seated right away and our order and food were taken care of quickly too. The veggies were fresh and tasty, the artichoke dip was interesting in that the chips it came with were flour instead of the usual corn tortilla chips or even bread for dipping. Overall it was different but good, we liked it. I always try the mac&cheese at BBQ places because that's my benchmark for BBQ sides. This one was not good, but I'm sure people don't fo there for the mac&cheese. The cheese sauce was flavorless and the texture was off, like melted American cheese mixed with a little milk to loosen it up a little or Kraft mac&cheese. Definitely not a traditional roux sauce. Skip the mac&cheese but go all in on the meats! The BBQ was delicious, the views a plus!

The food was great, and I loved the venue. There were just some small details lacking in the service, although our server was wonderful about it, and I'm not sure they were her fault. I would definitely come back!

Outside of Texas this was the best BBQ I have had in a while. The service was friendly and kind. We enjoyed watching the boats go by while we ate. We got the ribs, chicken and the fries all good

Such an amazing place to visit. Extraordinary view, service, and food. The loaded waffle fries, BBQ burger, and combo were all to die for. The waitress was attentive to our every need and we felt welcomed from entry to departure. If you are in the area definitely stop here for a quick bite or a great dinner with drinks.

We have ate here many times and always enjoy all the food. Great atmosphere with outdoor seating options. Beautiful views of the river to enjoy while you dine. On this particular trip we ordered the fish and chips. We have tried many things on the menu and I would highly recommend anything, but one of our favorites are the ribs and the wood chips! The portions are large, and the service we have received has always been great.

Had lunch here with my daughter and her husband. Service was great and the food was great also. I recommend the smoked pulled pork sandwich (pictured on left)!Wonderful view of the Ohio River with seating available in an area with lots of windows. We had a really good time.

The food was really good; great portion specially for the price. Great vibes, atmosphere and view, PLUS our server was amazing.

OMG the brisket waffle fries appetizer is to die for. The brisket.. chicken..rib..and sauce best I ever had...wash it down with a cold beer right on the river large portions very well priced. We are from Lancaster and will be back.

Food was great. Service was a bit slow, but it was Friday night, although not too crowded. Altogether a good experience. Not our first time, and definitely not our last.

We are SO FULL of delicious BBQ! 🐷 We stopped here on our way back from Florida, glad we did! I had the ribs w/ sweet potato fries & caramel sauce - omg 😋 - ribs were perfection & the bbq sauce, best ever. Hubby had the pulled pork & brisket - unbelievably succulent, tender, & great tasting. Wonderful view of the river & actually got to see a barge go past. Our server was great - fast & attentive This place was a wonderful find - thank you!
