I have to say; this was the most enjoyable buffet I have ever gone too. There was history all around... literally! Memorabilia upstairs and down.

I enjoyed a booth seat in the downs stairs buffet area with a view of the lake which was very serene. Walls accented with quilts and the waitresses in their darling country dresses. ( I heard someone say there was an elevator)

The whole place felt like a museum

Don't forget to check out the room on the far left once inside and waiting to be seated. Great place for children to play while waiting and for you to enjoy all the historical collections.

The employees were so polite and friendly and the food was delicious to say the least.🤗 I had the best raspberry tea which was not over sweetened...Thank you!

It only cost $42 for 2 buffet. It was worth it. The funny thing is...No one was on their phones; they were eating and talking to each other..💥

I can't say enough great things about this restaurant. We have been coming here for years. The upstairs restaurant has a wonderful menu with one of the best salad bars I've ever seen. The downstairs has a weekend buffet that is all the great comfort foods with the same amazing salad bar. The prices are a bit higher but worth the cost. The wait can be a little long but the outside has plenty of beautiful sights and ducks to feed to help pass the time. Definitely a must visit if down in the area.

Sundays are busy! Our first time actually doing the buffet instead of menu. We've come here whenever in Smithville since it opened and love the atmosphere and enjoy the food. You cannot beat this salad bar anywhere. Be sure to try the soup and homemade breads. The buffet was hot, fresh and good. The pot roast is wonderful. The mashed potatoes are not homemade, and some vegetables seem fresh out of the can, but all that can be overlooked by the variety of other great from scratch items. 4 of us cost $84 with beverages. I think this is a great deal for the variety and flavor of the buffet.

We have went here for years! Very unique restaurant with lots of fun stuff to look at. Big meeting rooms available. The pond is full of ducks and there are some cute shops in the other buildings on the property. The salad bar is amazing. On the weekends they have a full buffet that is delicious. You are also still able to order from the menu if you prefer. Highly recommend.

We always have a great experience at The Barn Restaurant! The food is delicious & the salad bar (wagon) is out of this world! The ingredients are always fresh, and this is the largest salad bar I have ever seen!

The Barn restaurant serves great home cooked food food. Has a huge salad bar and soup bar and bread bar that I love. Outside the barn you can go to specialty shops to look around and find wonderful Novelties or just enjoy The View

This was a great place to have a late lunch and not pay an arm and leg for all of us. We did the all you can eat buffet for $ 20 for adults, 15 and older, and under 15 is a buck for each year - so a 9 year old is $9. The buffet was well stocked, great variety of salad items, main course and deserts. Beverages included. The staff was excellent, well staffed, fast at getting our drinks and keeping them all topped off. The food bars were clean and all items kept stocked and the overall room was clean and orderly. The decor inside is rustic and fun, lots to see. Outside they have a big pond that is stocked with Koi fish and a whole bunch of Ducks that you can hand feed with the food from their wildlife vending machine that takes quarters. Overall a fun place to check out and enjoy. I highly recommend this place to all!!!

I got the half rack of ribs, and chicken. Everything was very tender and fully cooked. I would highly recommend this to anyone just visiting the area.

Great variety on buffet! Waiting room is filled with memorabilia as well as games that kids can play while waiting. We had our 15 and 8 year old with us and had no complaints from either of them as they were kept busy with the games.

A old barn and silo that was turned into a restaurant. Wormy chestnut beams , oak chairs wonderful old tools,toys,cameras all add to the charm . This a very busy restaurant waiting times are about 30-40 minutes giving you time to walk around feed the ducks and fish note take quarters for the food dispenser. Once you’re seated you can take in the decor of the restaurant and the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen home made breads and pie’s, large salad bar with lots of fresh items and several yummy soups . The vegetable soup was wonderful with a slice of homemade bread and fresh butter. The hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes was excellent the smoked pork chop with barn fry’s and corn was yummy too. And yes we saved room for pie and ice cream. The forest berry pie and vanilla ice cream were to die for the lemon crusted berry pie had a wonderful taste sensation I would highly recommend

I will just say that I had an excellent salad from their salad bar, and that was great, but what knocked me out was my appetizer of Loaded Tater Tots!

I didn't even get a chance to order an entrée. Two trips to the salad bar, it was that good, and the app... and I was stuffed.
The waitress was awesome, the ambiance of the restaurant was inviting...and you already know how I feel about their food. Two of the courses, anyway.
Can't forget to mention that you can also enjoy sitting out by the pond and feed the ducks and/or watch their antics through the very scenic windows, and you can also enjoy the Koi pond.
It's just a great place.

Overall, a five-star experience. We are definitely going back, if for nothing else but the Loaded Tots. Lol.

Love a good salad bar? This is the place to go. Be sure to check out their specials. You really do visit a working farm that has a dine in barn. What a great country drive destination. They also have a nearby toy store and specialty goods store for baking needs.

Great food and atmosphere. The duck pond outside is a nice activity for young kids. I would highly recommend going here for special occasions. Being from out of town the staff went out of its way to make myself and my family feel welcome. Salad bar was excellent with a wide variety.

One of our favorite places. The best soup and salad bar, a meal all on its own. Fantastic soups, chili and broccoli cheese are our favorite. After your meal, walk the grounds, sit in a swing by the water, feed the ducks, then visit the shops. A trip there is a great family outing.

I love this restaurant! Great food people and wait staff, Clean and homey feel with lots to look at while you wait to be seated games for the kids. Dining in either area the hot bar or salad wagon area can't be beat in either value or quality. One of my favs for sure!

The soup & salad bar was the best!
I really wanted a burger, but my friends who have been here many times before said this place has an amazing soup/salad bar and I must try it.
So me, someone who rarely eats salad, got the salad bar. And I was not disappointed at all, it was well stocked with enough to satisfy me with option of bread (blueberry bread and honey butter 😋) and amazing broccoli cheddar soup that had noodles in it!

Please let me get married at the gazebo 🙏🙏🙏🙏 I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the place. My waitress Pat just makes you want to call her "auntie". Everything is just overly beautiful and cozy. Cheese broccoli soup is my new favorite soup in the world. Loved the feeding the ducks experience 💓 Smithville has now a treasured place in my heart forever thanks to this place.

Dining at the Barn is an experience with all of the interesting decorations upstairs and down. Then there is the pond outside which is a relaxing way to work off all of the wonderful food consumed inside. Onto the food, there is a full restaurant upstairs and a buffet on weekends downstairs. I thoroughly enjoy both. The salad wagon is unbelievable with all the choices on it. The buffet includes desserts, a soft serve machine, and literally anything comfort food wise you would expect on a buffet. Looking forward to my next visit!
