******6/17/19 Nothing much to say...... still fab! Still delish! Still great service!!! I tried the new item “conquito french toast” , not my type. Creme Brule French toast is still the best in my book.

*****came back on another day. Still superb service & food!!!!

Original post:

On a nice Tuesday morning is when we visited this place. We didn’t have to wait for a table. The seater greeted us promptly with a smile. The menu selection has quite a selection, something for everyone. The service was great 👍! The food was terrific! The whole place seems organised and clean. I cant comment how the bathroom looks like, if it is clean or dirty, as we didn’t use it. Would WE come back??? Heck YASS! Price also affordable.

I heard all kinds of reviews on this spot and decided to check them out for myself. We arrived at 7:00 am as they opened. To our surprise people were already waiting and had the same idea as we did, to get there early before the rush. We were greeted at the door by the owner's son and sat immediately. This place is just as great as they say it is. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The space is on the smaller side, but has a warm and inviting atmosphere. Your coffee cup will never be empty and your water glass will always be filled. The food was AMAZING. We ordered the City of Champions and the Hash Bomb as well as the Banana Bread French Toast and a side of pancakes. Words do this place no justice. The wait was not long, the food was hot and fresh. They prepare the food right in front of you. The home fried potatoes were seasoned to perfection. The bacon was nice and crisp. The ham portion was a little on the skimpy side, but by the time we finished our food, it was a perfect portion. The corned beef hash was out of this world and the gravy that was on top brought all the flavors together. Even the eggs, which we had scrambled with cheese, were well seasoned and still hot when we were served. The Banana Bread French toast was served nice and warm. It was everything you could imagine, with a generous portion of caramel syrup drizzled on top with a sprinkle of confectionery sugar and the pancakes are fluffy and moist. The Phantom Gourmet has recommended this place several times and I would concur. It is tucked in the corner and not a place you would ever expect, but don't let the location fool you. One thing is true, parking is a little bit of a hassle. This place is busy by 7:30 am and you will definitely have to stand in line, especially on a Saturday. But it is WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!! They do not accept reservations nor do they offer take-out. So you will have to come in and get the full experience. The prices were not outrageous, it will not break your bank.

Food was excellent! Nice presentation and everything tasted great. The poached eggs and home fries were cooked perfectly and the spicy fried corned beef hash balls were fantastic. I also couldn't help but to order the creme brulee french toast. Very good as well! Highly recommended.

I had heard this place was excellent, and everyone was right! Walking in I found it to be very busy, but the receptionist (Elijah) took my information and placed me in queue. Instead of using hand held buzzers, I was able to get text and call updates for when my table was ready. Fortunately for me, my 11 minute wait turned out to be closer to 8 minutes. Once seated, I was treated to Jasmine’s charms and attentive service. I ordered the lobster and crab Benedict and it was marvelous. Great proportions of each ingredient provided me with an excellent taste experience with every bite. I can’t wait to return and try more of the menu!

A wonderful place to eat with great service! The decor is cultural with paintings of Nina Simone and others hanging. The waiters are attentive and the food is awesome!!! You have to try the French toast! It's a casual place on the north side of Brockton. Small parking lot but there is a side street to park on. The food comes pretty fast which I love because I'm usually in a rush when I go there. Depending on the day you go, it can be pretty packed but the wait is not usually more than 20 minutes.

Always at least an hour wait but food is worth it. Pleasant, friendly staff, clean bathroom, fast service, and food comes out quickly. Coffee ($3) is delicious with free refills. Wifi is super slow. Tip – always ask to get your home fries with onions & peppers. Tastes great and well-seasoned!

1) Hangover Benedict - $17 – 8 oz charbroiled angus sirloin, topped with spinach, roasted red peppers, three poached eggs & demi glace, served on grilled ciabatta – not bad for the price. The sirloin was dry and not seasoned enough (but you get what you pay for). But everything else was great. The sauce was delicious with the red peppers, poached eggs, and ciabatta. The home fries with onions & peppers were divine!

2) Eggs Benedict - $9.50 – two poached eggs & Canadian bacon on a grilled English muffin topped with whole grain mustard cream. Comes with home fries – would def get again. Bacon tasted & looked like ham…but it was still delicious. Muffin was lightly toasted. Eggs were perfect. Not a mustard person but the mustard cream tasted great with the poached eggs & muffin.

3) Make Your Own Omelet – w/ a side of home fries and two slices of toast. Large, filling, and perfectly grilled. Would definitely get again.

4) Banana Bread French Toast - $8.50 – delicious slices of banana bread that is just slightly covered with French toast batter and lightly fried. But covered in caramel sauce with lots of slices of bananas. Satisfies the sweet tooth. Would definitely get again.

I love JJ’s! I’ve had their Eggs Benedict, Breakfast Burrito, and Shrimp Cake Benedict—and their Creme Brûlée French Toast is to die for! I haven’t tried all of their smoothies yet, but I love the Island Breeze. They use techniques that I’ve never seen before and they have an open kitchen where I can watch my food being made. Not only is their food delicious, but their service is even better. My boyfriend and I have come here several times and we will keep coming back. “Enter as Strangers, Leave as Friends” 😊

This place is amazing. Expect to wait especially on the weekends but it's worth it. Hangover benedict is great!! Creme brulee french toast is probably one of the best french toast I've ever had.

Unbelievably good breakfast food. The restaurant is always perfectly clean. The staff is always knowledgeable and courteous. The food is always perfect. In short..this is the most consistent, and arguably the best breakfast restaurant I've ever been to. They are in desperate need of an expansion so more patrons can dine at one time because it seems like there is always a wait, but it's well worth it.

JJ Cafe used to the hidden gem spot for weekend brunch. Since the owner of JJ cafe retired. They turned into a healthy alternative restaurant where they serves salad. I got the spicy broccoli 🥦. It's tasted amazing! Highly recommend JJ Cafe for their salads!

I loved it here! We had to wait 10 minutes to be seated which was fine and they called my phone to come in and sit. The service here is really great. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. He was also really funny as well. I loved the ambience, its very much like a local restaurant feel and you know they care. The food that my boyfriend and I ordered was so good. I was literally so stuffed. We also ordered the creme brulee french toast as a side to split between us, that was so delicious as well. I would absolutely love to come back here 😍

Been a fan of JJ’s Caffe since DAY ONE!!! JJ’s is truly one of the City of Champions’ Diamonds in the Rough!!! Everything you will experience from JJ’s is on point!!! The ambiance, the staff, the presentation & most of all the food!!! So much to choose from and they are always keeping the menu fresh with NEW and exciting items to keep you coming back for more along with their regular entrees like the Hash Bombs!!! My personal favorite & a GREAT backstory how this hit came to be!!!

I just left JJs Cafe and if I could rate them more than 5 starts I would. The food is absolutely amazing! My Fiance had an omelette and I had the daily special which was Coquito French Toast. That french toast was probably the best breakfast I have ever had. My fiance loved his omelette and the home fries. Just keep in mind with such amazing food there is always a long wait (~25+ minutes). This is a small location which also causes the wait to be longer but the food and staff were amazing. Totally worth the wait!

The food at JJ's is fantastic. The hash bombs and the creme brûlée french toast are both amazing. Coffee was excellent too. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was very nice inside. I can't wait to go back again. So good.

Have been going to JJs from the time they opened. Live in New Jersey now, but when I come back to Brockton to visit family JJs is a must. The quality of their food and service is consistently excellent. Chef JJ and Nelson bring the attention to detail and commitment to excellence found in high end, fine dining to this spectacular restaurant. Sitting at the counter on a busy weekend and seeing the precision of the team on the line is mind blowing. Staff is friendly, attentive, and focused. The space is bright, clean, and welcoming. Awesome to see all kinds of folks enjoying this great spot.

So, what about the food? Of course, the hash bombs are legendary. The heat from the bit of hot sauce combined with the sausage gravy is next level. It is definitely a huge meal that will fill you up! For those who like a sweet breakfast, all of the French toast options are amazing. Banana bread, creme brulee, and coquito (coconut) are perfectly executed and really unique. There are various eggs Benedict options, and a great looking steak and eggs I keep meaning to try. They've also got some really tasty smoothies. The value for what you get is impressive. Are there places that are a little cheaper, sure, but the quality is not nearly as good. Chef JJ and Nelson deserve all of the success they are getting. Over the past 4-5 years, every meal here has been great, and the atmosphere is always upbeat even when busy. If you haven't been, do yourself a favor and check them out!

Best french toast I've ever had! I had the creme brulee french toast. Only downside is that it is crowded. I sat at the counter and felt like I was packed in a can of sardines. Other than that, excellent!
