Carmine's Italian Restaurant

I'm from the Northeast and didn't have any elevated expectations...but I was wrong. The atmosphere is casual and unpretentious. I ordered a Pappardelle (homemade Italian egg pasta) with a wild boar red sauce. Oh, yum. It was utterly delicious. The pasta was perfectly al dente...the dish was served at the right temperature...and the flavor complex and delightfully warm. Even the basil was favored with herbs and imported olive oil... The lemon cream cake was simply splendid and obviously baked in house. Heavy, perfect crumb, chilled creme and flavorful lemon reduction...wow. Just exactly what I wanted.

You don’t find many nice places like this this far East in valley. I don’t really like to eat out for Italian but decided this on a whim. It was a pleasant surprise. Food seemed freshly made, ambiance was perfect for a Sunday evening, and service was exceptional. Special call out to Mike for his classy, intuitive service.

The Bruschetta and the Formaggi with chicken was our group favorite and ended it with a delicious chocolate mousse cake. Whiskey sour was also great. Will definitely come back.

We had a birthday party for my husband upstairs with 27 guests (including 6 children and 3 toddlers). It was perfect. Our server, Joe, was amazing. He navigated around children and met every request seamlessly. The food came out at a comfortable pace, allowing us time to enjoy our guests. Yet, we never wanted for anything. The menu options provided for our large group offered enough variety and everything was delicious. We have been to Carmines before and always enjoy it but having had this experience of a large private party I am so grateful we didn’t go anywhere else.

We went to Carmine's for our anniversary and had a truly lovely evening. I had the lobster ravioli and my husband, the gnocchi. Both were so so delicious!! Prices are very reasonable, too. Great service, an elegant, clean atmosphere. This place is a favorite! Go there, you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant is so beautiful and the food looks like art. I got the Ravioli Salmone and it was so good! It had lobster and caviar, and it was cooked perfectly. The sauce was so light and creamy. My friend got the Carbonara and it was what you dream Carbonara tastes like, It was seasoned perfectly and savory. The pasta had the best bite to it. We shared Calamari (which came with shrimp and different types of Calamari) and a chocolate torte. I ordered a Negroni and it was perfectly blended. Everything was delicious. The restaurant was packed and somehow the reservation I made online didn’t work, but the staff was so kind and they sat us quickly. The service was really kind and professional. I’ll definitely be back!

Went here for the first time and the food was fantastic, and came out fairly quickly, I went Monday night around 4pm and was the only table seated at the time. We got Genovese pizza as an appetizer. Honestly best pizza I've had in a long time. For a main course I had the "Chef's Pasta" which was so good, it had mushroom and ham in it with a white sauce. It was a big dish so I couldn't finish it and took it home. It did not reheat well so eat it while it's fresh!

OK, I have been wanting to go here for years and finally it happened. I’ve lived in Salt Lake most of my life and I can say this is the best Italian food I’ve had here. Carbinara and wild boar papardelle were amazing. Reminded us of Tuscany where we first discovered the dish. The Tiramisu was huge and over the top delicious. I can’t believe it took us so long to come here, this will be a recurring place for me and my wife. Highly recommended!!

Excellent, authentic Italian food.

I really enjoyed my wild boar parpardelle and my wife loved her gnocchi bolognese. Everything was very authentic and the pasta was all made in house.

We topped off the dinner by sharing a tiramisu. It was light and fluffy and rich and quite possibly the best tiramisu we’ve had since our trip to Italy.

Bravo!!!!! As a personal food critic, this place is sexy, beautiful and the food is marvelous! One of the best lasagna and tiramisu I ever had, and I have had many. Here for 4 days and are there twice. The staff is wonderful, service is 5 star. I give you a 4 star Michelin review, only reason for the 4 is we must leave room to always grow. The only thing missing is the view from the ocean in Venice.

We made a reservation, and we are glad we did! This place gets crowded quick. Once it filled up it was a little difficult to get noticed by our waitress, but that's no fault of hers. It was busy!

The food is delicious. We appreciated that it wasn't "too much." Portions were just right, and every dish was flavorful and delicious.

We had Grandma's Ziti, lasagna, tiramisu, and the canoles.

We will definitely be back.

Phenomenal food. Very fine dining experience. I’d recommend to anyone. I was there on an evening they did seafood in pasta. The food was splendid, and they know how to properly serve wine. Also tried their pizza and it was 5/5! Had a great evening, will definitely return!

The staff was able to get us right in during prime weekend dining time. The service was great! They kept our water glasses filled which is always a plus! We loved the food it was very delicious. We got the Fettuccine allo Scoglio, Carmine pizza, and cannolis.

So glad we came again!
Got the lasagna again, I may try something else next time but it’s SO good I just had to have more!

I visit SLC for work every couple of months and Carmines was one of the first restaurants I tried and now I come back every time I’m in town. The Carmines ravioli is to die for. I love the atmosphere and the booths by the windows have some nice views. The staff are all wonderful too.

This place is excellent. I'm spoiled by the Italian food we have coming from north Jersey but this place was just as good. We got the wild boar paparadelle as an appetizer. Incredible. My father got the fresh grilled chicken Parm. Wow. I got Carmines ravioli. Unbelievable. Everything was really really good. Lots of flavor and we could tell it was fresh. Diego was an excellent server. Very friendly and made great recommendations especially on the wine. We enjoyed talking to him as well. Great service and amazing food. Highly recommend.

I’m a regular. For the best experience, dine in. The authentic Italian pizza is to die for, my favorite is the Carmine’s pizza and the capricciosa. The pastas are amazing too, my favorite is the chef pasta and this beauty pictured here, fettuccine allo Scoglio with marinara sauce.

The food in this restraunt is on par with the best Italian restaurants in Italy. Amazing service, atmosphere, and most importantly food. Would recommend for nice dinner. Pizza isn't served on friday-sunday but everything was delicious.

It's difficult finding good Italian when your Italian and Carmine's is MAGNIFICA! Service is on point and friendly, atmosphere is romantic and cozy. The food tho, my oh myyyyy! The Lobster Ravioli and the fresh in house pasta and the Alfredo sauce, and the fresh mozzarella and the....well, I could go on and on! Don't even think about it, just go and enjoy this Italian treasure ❤🤍💚

Absolute Perfection! The Chef must really have passion for his craft. It is nice to have a gem like this in our neighborhood as I don't like to go downtown.
