Plank Road Tavern

This place was a unexpected stop but not one to be forgotten. Built in the 1830's and used as a doctor's office, this place has lots of charm. The food was just what we needed to fill ourselves. A burger smothered in mushrooms and onions with a bit of a crunch from the bun. All in all of you ever find yourself in the area stop in for some history and a bite to eat

We enjoyed our meal. The Service Was Great and the Atmosphere perfect 👌 we will go again

Best fish & beer you can get around here. Say what you want but I’d choose this over Jolly Rogers or Tackle Box any day. Would gladly pay higher prices for this fish keep doing what you’re doing!

We love Plank Road Tavern we stumbled upon it a few weeks ago passing through McCuthensville, We stopped and had a fabulous meal So good that we've been back 2 more times. I think were making this our new place to eat. They have so many things on there menu the I got the bacon cheese burger and fries and my husband gets the pork chops. The meals are consistent the service is great, the people are freindly And the music is awesome to me that's what makes a night out fantastic. The building its self has been around for many years with many different owners but this owner comes out and talks to you, he waits on you and make sure your needs are met. With that said you should try them out you wont be disappointed.

Five stars without blinking! I didn't take long to think about that. We were just passing by and I needed to use the restroom. That was the best stop I think I've ever made. The Tavern is beautiful inside and so are the patrons that were there. We ended up staying for an hour and a half to 2 hours. The only thing that was missing was we didn't get to try their food because the kitchen had already closed for the day. However, we did get to see a plate of the special that day and it looked really delicious and smelled even better. As a previous restaurant owner I was totally surprised when I saw the dining room in the back. This place is awesome! Don't pass it by stop in and say hello. The owner is awesome! And so were the patrons. We had a hard time leaving because the conversation was so good! This place is an hour from home and it's not going to bother me to take the drive and go back and visit.

Owner came out and introduced himself to us. Afterward came out again to see how we liked the food. Super friendly, and awesome, inexpensive food! Will definitely be back!

Nine of us stopped in on our way to Hocking Hills. We had the banquet area to ourselves. It's a charming place! The food was good & the portions were big. It was a nice alternative to fast food.

We stopped in for a quick drink on our way up north. The bartender was very pleasant and cheerful. We utilized the patio to have our drinks outside, because sunshine.
We have not experienced the food menu personally, but seeing the plates of other customers, I looks and smells amazing!
We will be back for dinner soon I'm sure!

Wonderful food in a cozy historic tavern. Atmosphere is friendly hometown. The Friday fish fry is AMAZING! I chose the homemade homefries with honemade coleslaw & it is the Best I have ever had! The Bread pudding is to "LIVE FOR" & have every time you dine there!💞
Awesome place for the best homemade fare. Owner & staff are very cordial & aim to please stopping by your table to say hello & ask about your food.&service. It was a great place & the food was served good & hot ~ LOVE this place!-Trust me~you will not be disappointed!

Very good food, had drove by this place many times & finally decide to give it a try... i was not disappointed. They have prime rib once every month though i forget which weekend & all you van eat fish every Friday. Staff was polite, owner was as well.

My wife and I go here all the time it's a really nice bar to eat at and enjoy talking to the people and workers there!!!!

We stopped at Plank Road Tavern on a whim while passing through the area. I ordered the Plank Road Club with "chippers." The sandwich was fantastic! The chippers were thinly sliced potato chips made fresh with the order. I can easily say they were the best chips I've had in years. The decor in the bar area of the restaurant is really neat, and there's a more formal dining area in the back. Plank Road Tavern will definitely be my go-to restaurant whenever I'm in the area!
