Dr Calkins, saved my life and stopped my headaches in there tracks!! Pain free for 2 years now!!

I gave them 2 stars rather than 1 because the support staff at the clinic and hospital were amazingly friendly and helpful. Nevertheless, the primary care provider that I was assigned was the least empathetic and most unprofessional healthcare provider that I can recall ever seeing.

The Dr. does not check your prior record! Tends to jump to conclusions about you. Makes hasty, easy decisions. You can't see anyone else because they are under her direction. Just go to the ER.

Dr Calkins did not consult my previous records, did not even notice I have an extra lumbar vertebrae, didn’t take any precautions with me being on immunosuppressive medication and performed RFA which left me with an abscess. He then refused to treat the infection but would not let anyone else in the practice look and said my throat looked red after hustling me into a dark MRI room next to the surgical room and briefly looking himself. I spent months on antibiotics and being monitored with imaging to make sure the abscess fully resolved. The records he finally released to my GP even had the wrong birthdate for me. The whole experience was frightening for me and my family and left me with worse pain. I did report this to the state medical board. The only thing Sunrise Medical or the hospital ever did afterwards was erase the bills. It is wrong that David Calkins is still allowed to touch patients.

My husband has chronic pain. And has to be on oxys. Hes been in 2. Semi accicdents and a motorcycle accident to. Dr. Calkins told him all his pain came from smoking not true. Said dr. Gottlieb. Was a quack. No dr. Calkins is a quack. My husband will not go back there again. Dr.. Calkins license should be taken away.

Never have any opening, going as a walk in is your only option unless you don't mind waiting a week to be seen! At least there is some kind of medical care available in Santa Rosa.
