Beaver River Nature Preserve

I really like this little preserve. Glacial erratic was cool. The view of Beaver River in the winter was beautiful!

This provides a nice hike of about an hour. A single loop trail with a spur going to a beaver pond. I walk my dog, usually off-leash (oops). In summer we see beavers (get your dog out of the water when beavers are near, as they can really harm a dog or worse - any where there is a beaver). My lab gets to swim a lot and practice retrieving and we get some exercise with some modest hills to climb with some modest rocks to navigate on trails. In winter, not a lot of people. In summer, not many people (although more during the pandemic). Pond is scenic, walk through woods is ok.
