Southwest Medical Group: Mancos Valley

I’m new to the Mancos area and I have had prior bad experiences with my previous health provider. I was scared to try a small town Clinic but because of my health issues I decided to try and I chose a Provider I felt would meet my needs. I am so happy I followed my instincts. Everyone from the front desk to the nurses are amazing and friendly. They made me feel comfortable and at ease. Dr. Heidi is wonderful. She immediately made me feel like she was there for me. I felt like I was able to be myself and I could talk with her about anything and my concerns. I was able to discuss with her my concerns about my previous provider experience and she put me at ease and she was very understanding. Today was my third visit and I feel better about my decision and my experience. I absolutely love Dr. Heidi and the staff is amazing. Definitely recommend 🦋💜

Dr. Eversole and his staff at Mancos Valley Clinic are always professional and courteous. Dr. Eversole took the extra time during the visit to evaluate other concerning issues I had, and reassured me. Dr. Eversole is our primary care provider for my whole family. Highly recommended physician.

Wow, this was the best primary care experience I have ever had! I saw Jen and Heidi. Both providers were friendly, thorough, knowledgeable and patiently answered my many questions. I am so glad I switched my care to this clinic.

Always receive excellent care at this facility. Mike absolutely takes his time and listens carefully. I could go to Durango, as it is closer, but it is absolutely worth the extra 10 minutes to receive personal, quality care.

Decent for a small town clinic. Providers change too frequently and like everywhere these days, the waiting period for an appoint is excruciatingly long. Disappointed they stopped taking my health insurance, Humana but they are the only option in town so no choice but to deal with the higher cost. Dropping Humana is the reason I gave them such a low score. If they still accepted my insurance, this would be a 4 or 5 star rating.
Contrary to a previous reviewer who somehow thinks there is a problem with employees visiting the local dispensary, I think that is impressive. I want my care providers to be open to alternative treatments instead of always jumping to prescribe the newest big pharma drug with all of the nasty side effects.

Do not go to this clinic. The coded all my preventive appointments incorrectly and I am still receiving bills a year later and have paid so much for what is free under the law in this state. The providers are categorized as specialists and not as primary care Dr's, seems like a way for them to charge you more. They also ran tests I never asked for and billed me for them also.

My Dad has been going to this doctors office for years, seeing Dr Charlotte Barry. In his older age, his health and mental state has declined. I flew all the way out from Los Angeles to make sure he gets the help he needs and make it to his doctors appointments. My dad is quite confused and mixed up about his appointments. He called the morning of to confirm a 2pm appointment. We arrived at 1:50pm only to be met by a VERY abrasive and rude receptionist. She told us we were late and he would NOT be seen. I pleaded with them that I had come all this way and my elderly father cannot drive. They didn’t care at all, told us too bad, they were all booked up and he missed his appointment. There was ZERO compassion. Go to Cortez or Durango if you want care. This is the worst I’ve seen from a doctors office. They shouldn’t be allowed to treat patients.

I have seen staff from this office , buying marijuana. At livewell
This office also misdiagnosed a heart attack
Not once but twice in a 5 day period.
I now cannot walk my dog ,run hike,bike,
Truth and now years later having g trouble conducting life
