I got stuck in Santa Rosa N.M. And had to install a new alternator on my truck. I had issues and could not complete the install and was referred to Ortega for assistance. These people are awesome at what they do as well as how they treat their customers. Not only did they find the part to be incorrect they dealt with the parts store for me, explained things in a way I could not and got correct part ordered. Then they went out of their way to explain everything to me, recommended a could of hotels with good rates and then allowed me to gather belongings and took me to a hotel. These folks didn’t have to go that extra mile but they did and through conversations was able to give me a eta of job being completed and even set up a pickup time from the hotel back to my vehicle. The prices were reasonable and did I forget to mention when this all started they squeezed me in to get my truck in a bay so I could be on my way ( if I had correct part). I can’t say enough about the service from start to finish and every employee from office to garage to transportation driver and even the owner took time to make sure that I was being taken care of. If ever in need of auto, diesel, big rig, or towing in the New Mexico area give Ortega towing and recovery a call. You will not be disappointed

Great friendly people. I highly recommend. Family and I broke down moving on a Sunday and they were open can came and gave us and our trailer a tow. Victor is a awesome guy. My 2 year old was blowing him kisses when we were getting out of the tow truck.

Not only did they tow me into town, they also got me to a hotel.
The next morning after looking over everything, we decided to tow to Amarillo.
The drive came and picked me up at the hotel and drove me 200 miles to Amarillo.

We had to purchase a tire, because the roads we being repaired, and had a flat tire. Ortega’s Tires is a family owned business. They were prompt and friendly. They have many different tires to choose from and was the only place in the area that had the size for our car. We recommend Ortega’s Tires.

Sumner all the way to our home in Tijeras ON THE SUNDAY AFTERNOON BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY!!! Very courteous and professional.

Got stuck leaving Santa Rosa. My car went into limp mode. They were very helpful, even accommodating me on the weekend. They couldn't fix my car, but did give me a prompt tow back to Albuquerque early in the morning. The price was reasonable considering the distance.

I got a flat tire on my cross-country road trip. It was a Sunday and their tire patching location was closed, but they sent someone to there to fix my tire within 20 minutes! I was back on the road within 45 minutes. And it only cost $18. Truly lifesavers!

The check engine light came on in my Chevy diesel pickup - on a Sunday.
They ran a diagnostic test and identified the issue. They had me back in the road in under 3 hours and at a VERY reasonable charge.
Thank you to their diesel mechanic, John, and all the rest of the people at the shop who helped out.

Headed eastbound on I -40 we had a wheel bearing on our trailer go out. Luckily pulled of the interstate and happened to stop right in front of Ortega’s. Within 18 hours and on a Sunday these folks had us up and running back on the highway. Well deserved 5 star ⭐ rating. Thank y’all so much 🇺🇸🙏

On a dark, cold night I found myself alone with my little dog on the side of the road, out of gas. I hadn't figured on the weight of the trailer going uphill & how that would drain my tank! These folks were the very best price, came with gas for me, jumpstarted my Jeep, & put me back on the road in less than an hour! They were kind, happy to help, & emailed me my receipt.
Y'all saved an old lady's life that cold January night when it was snowing everywhere in the USA!

Ortega's wrecker service are professional, caring and quick to get me taken care of. I was traveling from out of State. Had a tire blow out on the 40-Hwy. From the time I called AAA, to Ortega's arriving it was less than 30 minutes. I was so impressed, I waited til the next morning and went to purchase my tire. The tech who changed my tire was very quick and checked all my other tires as well. I know if I ever have an issue in the Santa Rosa, NM area I will definitely use this business again.

Our truck broke down headed to the lake , with the recommendation of my friend I gave Ortegas a call . These kind folks were nice enough to get our truck off the highway and hold it over night and safely delivered it this morning . We will recommend your services to anyone we hear of needing them in your area .

On an interstate trip when the tire indicator light goes on. Turns out a bulge on the tire that required replacement. These folks were friendly, fast and replaced the tire quickly. Their professionalism turned a very upsetting situation around. Safely back in the road. Thanks for excellent service 🛞

We broke down on Christmas morning and called Ortega's. Although the driver's were all given the day off, they graciously sent one to our rescue and were very kind through it all. Our driver, George, was very kind to our family even though he had to leave his to come and help us. Ortega's helped us make the best of a frustrating situation. Thank you!

This is by far the best shop I have ever had the experience of dealing with. If you are looking for experienced mechanics, great service and reasonable prices then I highly recommend Ortega's!

My family broke down in our RV and we were treated like family. We were given a place to stay in our RV for 2 nights at no additional cost (the night we broke down and the night following service). Their experienced mechanics were able to efficiently and effectively troubleshoot an electrical short, replace the damaged wires and components in an afternoon on a late 80s RV.

I highly recommend Ortega's to anyone. We will be making this shop a destination for service in our future travels!

I showed up with a 1980 VW vanagon and some parts, asking for them to install them. Was able to talk to the mechanics directly and they started work within 15 minutes of me getting there. Job was done quickly and well. Price was more than reasonable.

Was down in Santa Rosa in a rental car. Car had a flat. Tried calling rental car service emergency line and was on the phone for over an hour. Wife was on phone with AAA for 30 minutes at same time. Got done with useless rental car agent and went to the front desk to ask for a local shop. They gave me Ortega's #. In the 60' walk back to the room, I overheard the person on the phone at Ortega's, "Hey Anthony, head over to hotel, flat tire." Person then says, "Our guy will be there in 5 minutes." He was. The tire was aired up, I followed them over to the shop. They fixed the tire very quickly and it was a very fair price. Will definitely call them first if I ever have issues on future trips down near Santa Rosa.

Our car broke down in little Santa Rosa, and I will never forget that the owner of this place got us in on a Sunday morning. He walked us through an explanation of this car's unique gas-tank vacuum seal and why it's important to get it sealed fully after filling up. Then he sent us on our way. What a blessing this place is!
