Absolute Bakery & Cafe

A cute little bakery restaurant that's served delicious food and very cute local art. Definitely recommend if you ever pass by during your trip out here. I got the Mesa Verde Stack and it was delicious

We stopped in Friday and got burritos to go and coffees. The burritos were really thick and they were kind to make us ones without cheese (dairy issues). Lots of bacon! The eggs in mine still had a little spicy kick, and I chose not to get any chili sauce. So tasty! We came back Sunday (today) and had dine-in. Seated quickly, lovely place with gifts and books, coffee, treats, and hot sauces to buy. The hash browns were great! Crispy top and cooked well all the way through, just like I prefer. The bacon was tasty and crispy, and the sliced avocado fresh and perfectly ripe. I had a darjeeling tea that was lovely, BFF had the house coffee and really liked it. Thank you all for your hard work, you're clearly very popular. Also, thank you so much for the safe place sticker we saw, much appreciated. Would absolutely visit again.

Great bakery/Cafe in Mancos Colorado. Food is great. Service excellent. Mesa stack was outstanding (eggs, cheese, bcaon and green chili over hashbrowns. Wife's pancake was so big we had leftover for breakfast the next day. Coffee was outstanding. Highly recommended.

We missed breakfast by minutes but were served a cup of delicious in house made tomato basil soup w/fresh made bread…delicious. The veggie quiche and green leaf salad was outstanding. Hubby ordered a chicken dish and couldn’t finish, excellent and filling. We’re not leaving without some homemade pastries.

This place is awesome
They have a coffee bar, a lot of tables for eating, great decor, friendly people, interesting things to do and look at. Great food ! We stayed here for around three hours all together with waiting for table and then hanging out afterward. Baked goods are awesome. We broke down and had no choice but to come here, and I am more than thrilled it exists.

Its not often that a place gets a 5 star in all categories but Absolute Bakery nailed it. I can't remember when I had a better breakfast than the one I had recently at Absolute. Great service, reasonable prices and extraordinary food in a really cool setting. The next time I'm in town, I what to try their lunch.

We got a savory pastry and coffee to go. It was very quick service, the staff was exceptionally friendly and kind. The atmosphere is really cool. Wished we had time to stay for a full breakfast as it looked great. If through the area would stop again.

Great place to stop! I had the Blueberry Lemon bar this morning - amazing. I also grabbed the turkey, sun-dried tomato aioli sandwich for lunch. The sandwich is beyond yummy. You can eat outside and experience this quaint little town too!

Great coffee, cool old building, diverse menu, authentic bakery!!! I would have loved to try every delicious looking goody in their case, had I not been full from the perfectly cooked breakfast!

A wonderful find if you're near Mancos,CO. It was the annular eclipse weekend so the restaurant was overly crowded. Because of that service was friendly but quite slow. Otherwise a great place, probably with better service when not so crowded. 😊

Homemade goods! Friendly staff! Affordable, clean, and super cool. The keylime raspberry bars are the best things on the planet Earth. Buy some local art.

It was the only breakfast place in the area I believe and we couldn't have been happier. Everything was good. Very on the ball staff. They were very busy and the service didnt suffer one bit.

A bit busy on the weekends but absolutely worth the wait! Stopping at one of the local art galleries can help fill the time.

Fave GF dishes: veghead (warm+savory), Joan's (light and crisp), and the frittata (classic)

Absolutely the best! Huevos rancheros were excellent, as were the scones, bars and cookies! Feeling so at home here!

This place is fabulous! Amazing baked goods, great breakfasts, and excellent service. We went twice during our visit to Cortez because the first visit was so wonderful. Not enough good to say about it. Beautiful location which just adds a big plus to the experience. If in the area, not to be missed.

What a wonderful find! This is THE place to grab breakfast in the area, with people coming from Durango too, so don’t leave your visit too late esp on a weekend. Incredibly fresh local food. The Mesa Verde stack (eggs, green chile, plenty of other great stuff) was heavenly. Also super friendly with kids (coloured in menus get stuck on the wall) and some fantastic merch too (see photo). Special thanks too to Chandler who was an exceptional waiter. Don’t miss this place!

It is the greatest little local place. Great bakery. Great service. It is a gem of a place!
