This is a cute well-run hotel; I really enjoyed my stay! The room was very comfortable, and it was quite there as well. My shower had lots of pressure which you don’t see (feel) anymore. The rooms have coffee makers and little refrigerators for your needs. The owner Lynn came out and made my whole group feel like family. Thank you, Lynn and staff, for making our say as wonderful as it could possibly be.

Very clean & cozy rooms. Atmosphere was spectacular with a quiet small town and views of the lakes & mountain tops along the horizon. The owner "Lynn" welcomes all with open arms & makes you feel right at home. The staff does a great job & then some. They all treat you like family. Once you visit, you'll never want to leave!

Probably the cleanest room I've ever seen. The sheets were crisp and even the bedspread was newly laundered. A nice, quiet, and comfortable place to stay for less money that I would have expected.

Needed a cheap place for the night and the rooms were nice and clean. They had a home feel to them. So far this was the nicest motel we have stayed at on our trip. It's a nice small town to stay in with a bowling ally down the road.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the place to stay.

We checked in, and it couldn't have been easier. Lynn was very kind answered all of our questions about the town and then some. Very pleasant, very down to earth.

There was some concern about lack of Air Conditioning. I was assured that at 8000 feet, keeping cool would rarely(if ever) be a problem. She was right; so, so right. We got to our room, and it was not only clean, but comfortable, and indeed had a small town/ranch home feel to it. It was a good temperature, but I sleep in the cold. After a half hour with windows cracked a little bit, even I was even a bit chilly.

The room we stayed in had two queens. They were log framed beds, and the easily most comfortable hotel bed I've ever stayed in. Likely more comfortable than my own.

The bathroom was good sized. Not amazingly huge, but very, very ample, and no feeling of being cramped. This, too, was very clean, and there was no smoke, pet, or "bathroomie" smell.

There is an outdoor hot tub that, as any good owner knows, you NEVER TURN OFF. Once it turns off, the pipes can freeze. Frozen pipes could lead to bursts and broken seals. You could easily spend more than the cost of a new hot tub just locating the leaks, let alone fixing them. The hot tub was very clean; no dirt or debris I could see at the bottom. There was only a very very faint chlorine smell, which is comforting.

Location; well it IS a small town. Gas station next door, two restaurants across the street with an angler shop in between. The view wasn't great out the back window, as there's an old barn or something there, but the front view you could see over the shops to an amazing sky.

Walking around town made me feel safe and welcome. Friendly townsfolk everywhere. I watched two kids about ten riding up and down main street... no worry for their safety, no cringing parents demanding they come home lest they get kidnapped; no overbearing grandparents calling child protective services either.

I'll be returning to this town. And I'll be staying at this hotel every chance I get. Hopefully, someday, I'll find some skills that translate better to a small town, so I can move there.

Thank you, Lynn, for this wonderful little town to stay at!

Clean, tidy, old-school lodging with just enough space and amenities. Plenty of outlets for charging phones, plugging in tea pot, and hair dryer. Staff was very helpful with our small needs (corkscrew and flatter pillow). Booking was incredibly easy - book early if you're staying here for the Derby! Wish we'd have taken advantage of the doors that connect rooms and had our parents in the next room (we'll be sure and do that next time). Little fridge and microwave a nice touch, plenty of channels to watch on the new flat screen. Easy walking distance to any attraction in town with a gas station/convenience store right next door.

Tammy was AMAZING!! She went above and beyond on multiple occasions during my 4-night stay, to make sure that my trip went as smoothly as possible. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I'm not sure how the process matches up to other options in the area, but I would pay a lot extra just to stay here based purely on the best customer service I've ever recieved.

Family run business with nice, clean and niche decor in the rooms. Don't expect mainstream hotel amenities here however you don't have to be big in order to keep your customers happy and the folks at chedsey motel certainly keep their guest requirements in check.

STAY HERE! We have been coming from Elkhorn, Ne for the last ten years to walden many times every winter. Everytime we come we stay at the Chedsey. Last weekend we were there and one of our snowmobiles broke. We couldnt find the part to fix it cause the NAPA in town was closed for the weekend. We asked Lynn the owner if she knew anywhere we could find the part and she went out of her way to call her friend and get one for us! Life Saver!
