Power Dam Falls

Small little dam but we were struggling to locate the place through gps. There is not enough sign on the roof closer make things much more difficult to locate this place. We were there for 30 minutes and enjoy the time over there. The water is falling though nicely even in the dry season and then I can guess that rainy season will have more water to flowing through. I will be Much better than whatever we have observed today.

We were in Santa Rosa while driving Rt 66 and found a sign that said Power Dam Falls, which was intriguing because we only figured on going to the Blue Hole and taking some gawks at old businesses. We arrived late to town and decided to check it out the next day. Well worth it. The falls are not too far out of the way, 2-3 miles tops.

Really neat spot. Not 100% sure on the story but definitely seems to be an abandoned hydroelectric dam that is slowly returning to the earth. I grabbed takeout in town and brought it down and ate by the falls. Great stop on my trip.

Scenic stop along the historic Route 66. I was able to get some fantastic photos and just take in the clean clear air. No allergies in the desert!

Roads need a bit of work but the waterfall is absolutely beautiful and the sound is just so peaceful.

Great place, very peaceful and great view.

Stunning place, fairly close to Interstate 40 that you can pull off and enjoy while you're having lunch or a picnic with the family. The pond that the dam impounds is emerald green and very clear. There's a pair of ducks there that like to greet people. Please keep the place clean and pristine how it is now so others can take in the beauty and enjoy it as much as I did.

Great spot for a quick detour. Went in the winter and around noon, there were no other visitors at this time. Without the signs I wouldn't have known its their.

Amazing is all I can say I have lived 60 miles from Santa rosa and never knew about this place I highly reccomend it
