I have to be really honest here, I have traveled all over the United States and have been to plenty of BBQ restaurants. Don’t believe me, look at my reviews. This is the first place I’ve been to that I feel I’m doing an injustice by not having more stars to award. When an owner, like Larry, take their business so seriously, yet, he truly loves every minute of serving the world’s best barbecue to his customers, it amazes me. He also hand picked help to complement his idea of providing an excellent customer experience in service and her name is Shannon! Thank you two, for one of the best barbecue experiences aromas, flavors, tastes, and quality that I’ve ever had in BBQ place! DON’T miss this place! We will drive 2 1/2 hours one-way, just to visit you again…

Wife and I have been here 3 times this week. Larry the owner came out and introduced himself to us. He does most if not all of the cooking .We have had several items off the menu. All worth reordering again. Ribs are top notch, chicken and pulled pork is delicious..He is considering a buffet and a all chicken night. If you are in the area it is a must stop.

Awesome BBQ and even better people and service. It's all about the meat. Ribs, brisket, sausage, you name it! Don't miss the potato salad and slaw (150 years old recipe). Its all good. So good, we got more to-go. Ask for Larry if he's on site but the entire staff is very kind and gracious. A1!! Well worth planning a stop in Walden if you are passing through the area.

We stumbled upon this place while driving to Steamboat and loved it!! The pork nachos were our favorite and was enough for two. We also got the sausage link and a side of green chili. Be sure to try the green chili!! We had a great chat with the owner, Larry, and enjoyed hearing how he got started in the BBQ business. Charming place, charming owner, and great food!

I don’t often give out 5 star reviews, but this place deserves a minimum of 5 stars. The best BBQ I have ever had. The ribs, sausage, pulled pork, and brisket all rank in the top 2-3 I have ever had. The ribs and brisket are by far the best I have ever had. The sides are great too, I’m rather fond of the cornbread, Mac and cheese, and cole slaw. The sauces? Heavenly. So good it’s not even funny. Had pulled pork nachos for the special one day... the best nachos I have ever had. The service is quick, the owner is one of the friendliest gentlemen I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and to hear “did you get enough to eat” at the end of a meal, are some of the greatest things you can hear. I feel like I’m having BBQ at home. I cannot say enough good things about this fine establishment.

All Smoked Up was impeccable! The brisket was practically melting, the pulled pork was juicy and tender, and the beans were just the right balance of sweet and spicy. I can confidently say the service was the funniest and most delightful I've had in awhile, in a gruffly charming kind of way.

Very friendly and down-to-earth! The food and experience was so awesome that we had to go back for a second meal during our 1-week stay a half hour a way from Walden.

I ate there two years ago and failed to write a review. Shame on me as it is still a wonderful memory of great food and a new friend. I had read the reviews and knew the owner's name was Larry. When I opened his door he was behind the counter and I called out his name like we were old friends. He looked a little puzzled but gave my family and I a warm welcome. From the reviews I read, I inquired if Deb, (a waitress) was working today. Now he really looked puzzled. We ordered our food (there were 5 of us so we had a little bit of everything) all the while talking with Larry. We were there at an "off" hour and pretty much had the place to ourselves. I finally told Larry that I only knew him through the reviews and we all had a big laugh. From then on we were not customers we were family. I have never laughed so hard swapping tall tales with him throughout our meal there. It's one of those times you never want to end. The Best BBQ I had from Florida to Colorado and I eat a lot of BBQ. The BEST food and some of the best memories were made sitting at the table at this restaurant with a fine gentleman who knows his BBQ. I hope he remembers us as fondly as we remember him. I cannot recommend this place enough.

We brought in an impromptu group of 17 people and the owner was GRACIOUS, ACCOMODATING AND UPBEAT! The brisket was moist and flavorful but the ribs were my favorite. They were delicious and a must try! 😋 It's a great place for the whole family.

One of us coming from Texas and one coming from the Carolina's, we weren't sure what to expect from a BBQ joint in Middle of Nowhere Colorado.

But it was fantastic. The whole meal was excellent, service was friendly and chill - and the food was amazing. Prices are good, understanding that good food isn't $3/lb.

When we come back next year, we will be stopping in and also ordering some to-go!

Hands down, no question…the best people and the BEST pulled pork nachos anyone has ever had, ever. Thank you Larry and staff for an unforgettable experience as I stayed in the wonderful town of Walden!

Our family had the brisket plate and pulled pork sandwiches with sides of baked beans, potato salad, Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. The owner made sure everyone was satisfied their meal and was very nice. Would go back again if we come back to this area.

I don't write reviews of places often, but this place has by far the best brisket I've ever had. The ribs and pulled pork were excellent as well, but seriously, get the brisket, you will not be disappointed. The BBQ sauce was great as well. Also, if you like spicy food, get the green Chile. My little one liked the Mac and cheese. Next time I am driving I‐80, I'm going to have to divert down this way for some more brisket.

Amazing BBQ! I was fortunate to try the brisket fresh off the smoker. 29+hours smoked and wow! I will definitely go out of my way to stop by here again soon! Great gem in Walden!

Larry was a great host! I enjoyed the BBQ nachos and my husband had 1-meat and 2-sides. Friendly service, reasonably priced for a small town.

My god this place is great! First of all, the owner was the sweetest most charismatic & welcoming guy - I could have sat in there all day listening to him chat up customers.
And the food was just as warming & good! We got the cluster - which is basically a bbq bowl of goodness - and a half rack of ribs that were fall of the bone good. So Smokey and juicy! The sauce was excellent. 10/10 - will go out of my way to stop thru here again on my next trek thru Colorado!

Best grub in Walden! These folks pour a whole lot of love into their food. Pulled pork and brisket are so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Service was top-knotch. Will be stopping in again!

Honestly, best BBQ I've had in a LONG time! You can tell the cook puts their heart and soul into their food. Pulled pork was cooked perfectly and fresh. Server was unbelievably nice and the atmosphere has a cute small town vibe to it. In the summer they are adding additional outdoor seating and live music! Have to come back!

More than 5 stars! Traveling through we were greeted by Larry and the rest is history. Can't wait go come again, visit with Larry and have some epic BBQ.
