Lake John Resort

Me and my Boss went up here for a company Ice Fishing trip and we really enjoyed the suite we stayed in! We are Really excited for the new Owners and seeing they have passion and drive to keep the place up to date. I have to say the place was spotless and had everything you needed what a Outstanding Suite right by the Lake!! Quality people and fishing is what Lake John has to offer. Great service, Doug and Mary were welcoming and helpful. Quiet and secluded, well stocked general store. We will visit again! In addition, the cabins are much nicer than the pictures show. Thanks to all of the staff at Lake John.

The staff was welcoming and excellent at customer service. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The Stars were the most exceptional part of the stay. If you have never viewed the stars at night with no light polution, it is spectacular! We hope to visit this place again.

This was the first time my husband and I used our new (to us) camper/trailer. We went with a group of friends & family and you all were able to reserve us hook-up spots right next to each other! A family in our group had an 8 m/o, first time camper, in attendance and they were able to reserve and stay in one of your cabins. You all were so welcoming and friendly! Thank you for making our time together at your Lake John Resort so wonderful. We made some great memories and we will DEFINITELY be back!

I'm not one to leave reviews but the owners of this resort are some of the kindest and most hospitable people I've ever met. (this seems to be a common theme if you look at the other reviews!) This was our first time up but they make you feel like you're one of the regulars. It is a very nice and clean resort, full hookups were terrific. The night sky is breathtaking. We will definitely be back.

In times where customer service and good old friendliness is nearly forgotten, Doug (the owner and host of Lake John Resort) along with his staff bring a refreshing and great experience out at the resort. Their attitudes and friendliness must be contagious because every Anglers and boaters I came across were very friendly and offered so much advice and tips just as the staff at Lake John Resort did. My family and I will difenetly be going back!

Always friendly, beautiful and peaceful. They have just about everything you’d need at their shop if you forget something, so when I go camping up there it cuts out a lot of those last minute errands. Just load the truck with what you have at the house, they likely have the rest! Love this place!!

Enjoyed our stay here. Staff was very friendly and you could tell they went out of their way to assist anyway they could. Make sure you take your bug spray. We only stayed 2 nights. It was peaceful and relaxing. If I had to complain about anything it would be the noise from the ATV's that were being driven around by younger kids. They were at the state park side for camping, so there was no control over that. At least they were not flying up and down the road way. We will stay here again.

It is breath taken , I love the way Mary the manager of lake John resort is so sweet n down to earth n the cabins are so cozy n cute ,if you're looking to get away n get some peaceful time go to lake John resort ,the fishing is awesome big nice size trout .

It is far out from city or towns,but it perfect get-a way location for still water trout fishing. You can spot other wildlife on daily basis. Bring plenty of mosquito repellent !

Always have a wonderful time at lake john resort. Every time I go the fishing gets better, likely I get better the more often I go, 30 fish between my brother and I. In 2 days. Upto 15 Inches. But there's bigger ones in there. Doug and his staff are are such good people.

The cabins have everything you need and are always very clean and well-kept. The little tackle shop in the store is well stocked. Doug the owner is super friendly, attentive, and fun to talk to! And yeah, the fishing in the area is killer!

I participated in the ice fishing derby out there. It's a nice little store with a friendly couple that run it. It's nice having the option to go get some snacks or some beer without having to drive all the way back to Walden

The new owners were very accommodating, Feb. 21, 2019 The rooms were very clean and had running water. If weather is below "0" the propane will not burn as efficiently on the grills. Fishing was slow but caught a few. Keep in mind that it is not the owners responsibility to pull you out when you get stuck. BRING you own recovery gear. They own the resort not the lake.

A friend and I had a recent stay at lake John resort and we were more than impressed with how great our stay was. Nicole was incredibly nice and had our room prepared and ready for our arrival. We were staying to ice fish and when we arrived she had the room nice and warm. The room was really clean and very spacious allowing us to bring in gear from the truck so it wouldn’t freeze. The beds were very comfortable and both nights we stayed we both slept really well. If you are in the north park area and want a top notch place to stay, THIS IS THE PLACE! Thanks again for the great stay! We will be returning for sure!

The owners Doug and Mary we're awesome! They make you feel very welcome and cabins are clean and well-kept and a great place to have a break from it all!! Highly recommend a stay with them.

The owners are incredibly nice. They are always quick to offer assistance and talk fishing.
The accommodations are not 5 start by any means. Think hunter's cabin. Everything is clean, just a little aged. Every year gets better and better with the improvements they are making.

Love this place!!! The new owners are amazing if you have any kind of problem they go out of their way to help and the cabins were super clean and have everything you need. The fishing was great our 3 year old loves that almost every cast she had a bite and could try reeling it in. The views are breathtaking and there is great 4 wheeling close by highly recommend checking out Sandhill! We saw 6 moose on our drive as well! We will be back

Sincerely friendly owners and staff that want you to have a great time and do well at fishing. Cabins are very clean with hardwood flooring and rustic accents. We'll be back very soon. Josh and Becky are the best!
