Gorgeous little garden with views of the mountains and hot springs. We hiked up above to look inside, and walked through it too. Make sure you wear mosquito repellent, because all the nearby water seems to bring them in droves. I recommend going when it’s overcast if you want good photos, because the trees and peaks cast harsh shadows all day.

Adorable! Everything in Lava seems small and quaint and this park is a prime example. Maybe an acre in size, it's darling trellises and winding trails take you around this tiny park. Beautiful views and cute landscaping make this a lovely spot for a quick run around or a good place to stop and picnic, out sit and read or draw.

Very cool rock formations from the interactions of the lava with the water in the distant past that created agate Jasper and petrified wood along with Pipestone can all be seen as you walk around the different layers going back in time as you go down

We came in the winter and loved festive views of snow on the trees in the background. The hot springs are open year around and all day long. We didn't mind the 10 minute walk from the Koa RV spot by the river. There was rv parking on the curb just above the hot springs. I assume during the busier season, this would not be possible due to heavier traffic. Very cute down town area to walk through though.

Very cute little area! Pretty decent trail if you walked all of it… the gazebo was my favorite part! Super cute!

A really fun walk or place to have a picnic. It was a very different garden than your usual garden but it was so cool. Definitely a must see if you visit the Lava area.

Absolutely worth the stop. 2 hours for us was plenty. They rent suits and towels. Restrooms have a dressing area with lockers and showers. Bring your water bottle or purchase on sight. Very clean neat place. Well worth $8 per person admition!

This is like a hidden gem of lava hot springs. I’ve been to this town 4 times before and never even knew it existed until the kids discovered it today. It’s the perfect little nature walk with gorgeous scenery. The kids loved the little caves.

Such a beautiful, historic place. We visit every year and stay at Lion's Gate, a gorgeous B&B right outside downtown. Walking along the river is a wonderful experience and the food at the hotel is world-class👍

Awesome flowers and caves!

Best in late Spring. Great scenic spot with trails to wander. Watch the little ones in some spots. Cool little caves to explore.

Very cute and whimsical fairytale-like garden in Lava Hot Springs. I wouldnt say that this place should be a determining factor in whether or not you visit Lava Hot Springs, but it was quite lovely for my boyfriend and I to stumble upon happenstance. Then again we did visit in early winter... i would imagine its even better in spring. Stairs provide the option for multiple elevations, if you go to the top of the stairs, you will find yourself next to the highway and near a Thai Restaurant (and i believe a KOA as well)

Nice relaxing experience. My 11 and 9 year olds enjoyed the pools. We even got into the 112° one for a few minutes. The gravel bottom is neat!

This is a small, but beautiful little garden with paths on multiple levels. It overlooks the Hot Pools. The greenery is simply amazing. A very Zen place to sit and think. Shady and quiet. Entrance just west of the Lava Hot Pools right off main street.

Worth seeing when you are here. Does not take much time and is a beautiful garden. It was better enjoyed since there was not a lot of people there today.
