The Oxbow

Delicious and flavorful unique burgers! We got the green chili open faced burger ( highly recommend). So full of flavor! Beats the green chili burger from Albuquerque. The jalapeno popper burger was piled high! The supreme philly cheese steak was fresh and cheesy with au jus that doubled as a soup! The OK Corral burger had perfect bacon paired with the onion rings on it. We will be craving this food until we come back! To top it off we enjoyed the Huckleberry tea!
Everyone was so friendly and personable! If you are traveling through this way definitely stop.

Food was amazing, (portion size is huge) Service and staff was even better and entertaining...Drinks were awesome! Such hard workers! Compliments to the Chefs, servers, and owners...Amazing place! We will make this a part of our next Lander visit!!

We loved our time at the Oxbow! The meatloaf was great and the atmosphere was very inviting! I loved that the salad bar had many options to choose from to build your own salad. Our server, Mindy, was very sweet!

Food was amazing, and staff was really nice. Dimitri was our server and he was super attentive, gave amazing recommendations, was extremely patient, and answered every question we had without hesitation. Other staff greeted us with a smile and wished us a good day as we left. We live a couple hours away but this will be a staple for every Lander visit we can manage.

The service here is amazing!! Talk about feeling at home when you walk in and order some food. Delicious breakfast options and great food selection for lunch and dinner as well. Will make this a stopping place on my way through town anytime.

Ate here in August 2023 for Sunday lunch after church. Sat at the counter. Burger and fries were delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Was my last meal before climbing Gannett Peak. Highly recommended.

Great food here. After a long day of rock climbing, this awesome little diner hits the spot. Good portion sizes of home cooked style food. The French fries are delicious.

Food was great and Bree shared the story of the Family owned restaurant and motel. It was the highlight of our day.

I really enjoy their Golden Cakes. These pan cakes are huge.
They have such good pie.

We ate at Oxbow three times in one weekend! Great salad bar, large portions, but the star of the show is the gorgeous gal bussing tables. Everyone pleasant. Good food.

Fantastic......but our server was fantastic..Bre was just amazing 👏 what a pleasant celebration 🍾 we had in the back room... can't wait to need to rent again! And thanks again for everything!

It's so hard to find a good American Food Restaurant that isn't trying to be something else. This is a great place. Not a Soup eater so the salty French Onion soup is not a problem for me!

Traveling through in our RV, not many places we could pull Motorhome into. This place has a big enough parking lot (next to hotel) that allowed us to park in back so we could stop in for a meal.
Greeted by Vicky our waitress & she was very helpful in pointing out things on the menu we might like. All great choices. Our meal was good, priced just right, restaurant was clean, & with lots of old fashion atmosphere. I had them add green chilies to my sandwich (being from New Mexico) that is always a winning combination. We were happy with the customer service Vicky provided & would definitely stop in again it passing through.
This place was definitely an local favorite.

Clean, great breakfast! Crispy hash browns, over medium eggs (perfect cook on the eggs), wonderful staff. Friendly, professional and efficient!

The Oxbow is a restaurant in Lander, WY, that serves things like meatloaf and pot roast and bison burgers and filling breakfast fare. It has a salad bar and paintings of cowboys. It was here when time began and it will be here when we are all passed on from this Earth and also the gravy you get on your mashed potatoes looks like fudge sauce.

You can get chocolate cream pie and also a long island iced tea. You can also get apple pie and I can never choose so I usually get both (to take home, that is, because good luck packing two generous slices of pie into your gut after finishing a hearty Oxbow main). It has friendly staff and comfortable seating. And the light is very pretty coming in the windows as the sun sets behind the Wind River ranges.

Final notes: the salad bar I mentioned is sumptuously appointed. The Oxbow is, without a word of a lie, my favorite restaurant on the planet and I would eat here every day for every meal if I could.

Food was good cooked to order. Service was lightning fast from appetizers to main course great place to eat.

Amazing please for dinner or breakfast. Super friendly and professional stuff. Delicious food, so yammy 😋
