Speedway Café

To me this is a true American diner from the decor to the food. My husband, his uncle and I came here for lunch and my husband and I were both surprisingly pleased with our food. Because of that, we went back the next day and brought my husband’s 93 year old grandma with us for lunch. She had a plain old burger (just the way she likes it), and I had the chicken fried steak with eggs and
my husband had the favorite breakfast with green chili and convenes beef hash. I rate the food 5 stars because they are cooked well, presented well, and the serving is generous. I rate the service 4 starts because it takes a while to be served (seated and asked for drinks), but maybe because the place is always packed. But the servers were sweet and friendly. I rate the atmosphere 5 stars because the vibe is just relaxing and conducive to eating meals. There is a buzz because of people talking but it’s not loud and noisy. The place is also clean. The tables are clean and even the matted floor is always kept clean. It’s just a real nice food place to eat at. Note: always read the posted hours because there are days that the place closes early. There is a lot of good things going on for this cafe and one is it’s location, as it is located at a gas station too with ample parking.

Had this place for the first time. The food was great. wonderful. The servers were very nice and accommodating. But the other people eating there kept mean muggin me like i was in the wrong town.

Prices affordable, food great, portions for those big appetites and very friendly service! And love that you get a squirt bottle of ranch and fry sauce so you get as much as you want, not tiny sauce cups.

The waiter said, "Welcome back!" I enjoyed that. The price is high, so I go there by myself. I get salmon and steak. I love it

Staff is wonderful and kind and food was good. It's a little cafe with great customer service. Definitely do recommend it for anyone! My favorite is the build your own omelet. I usually get mine with mushrooms and swiss cheese (and they LOAD it up, SO well!), which I usually do with no side or just hashbrowns on the side. Large portions, so I can do either way and I'll always be satisfied!!

Was looking for somewhere to grab breakfast when I was in town and was pleasantly surprised. Very clean and well kept place. Ordered 2 eggs over medium, bacon and oatmeal. Eggs were perfectly cooked (Amazing how many places cannot make proper over-medium eggs), bacon was crisp and NOT greasy and oatmeal was quite good. Coffee was good as well. The only thing I wish they had was either some music or a TV. Was as quiet as a tomb with the exception of the vent fan in the kitchen.

I really wanted a waffle and they delivered. It was nice and crispy, and the butter was delicious. The country fried steak breakfast was really good too. Left really full and satisfied.

After searching all over Fremont County for a dine-in, breakfast all day restaurant...I can't say I regret it. This place has good food and great prices. Our waitress was friendly and kind. I highly recommend this place!

Had a local favorite a Cheesewheel. The hand cut fries are amazing and the cheesewheel was ultra cheesy. I ordered potato salad which was delightfully delicious. Server was friendly and prompt.

This is the place to go for good American style food and friendly service. The plates are heaping, the staff attentive, and you can get both Coke and Pepsi. Our local delicacy is the Cheese Wheel, a battered and deep fried cheese burger and Speedway has a great one. They even make a superb green pork chili.

Would give a 10 star if I could but service is amazing food is excellent workers are amazing and kind all around a great place you eat and take your family to eat

The restaurant was busy but the service was superb!
Kept our drinks filled, checked on us throughout our visit, and were pleasant.
Food was nice and hot and exactly what I expected
