La Casita Mexican Restaurant

La Casita has the best authentic Mexican food in North Florida. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Our favorites are the fajitas and molcajete. I'm including a pic of the molcajete below. Everyone there is SO NICE! We bring our 5 and 6 year olds there and make them use their Spanish (which consist of like four words). With the great food, friendly service and good prices, this is our go-to restaurant when we decide to eat out. You can even walk to it from Spring Park. highly recommend you give it a try.

My family and I stop at a Mexican restaurant every city we go to. We were extremely content with the food and service. We highly recommend the whole fried tilapia and the carne asada plate. Although everything we tried was delicious these were our favorite. The horchata was also great! We will be back anytime we’re near.

Very delicious! My husband and I shared the combo fajitas for two and had more than enough food. The salsa was very tasty.

Excellent selection of Mexican candy, food, decor, spices, and such in the back of the store.

I came in today for lunch and had the Birria tacos. This place has amazing, authentic Mexican food. The servers are amazing as well. This is my go to place for lunch. The prices are very reasonable for the portions. They also have a store inside, with some spices you won't find at other stores around. I highly recommend this place.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food and some good drinks, then this is the spot for you. We ordered horchata and Modelo Especial with lime, and the carne asada burritos with rice and beans. The kids got kids size burritos and rice and beans. The steak was cooked perfectly and was very tender. It had so much flavor. I’m from California and live in Florida now, so I’m always on a lookout for authentic and delicious Mexican food. This is it guys. I will drive from St. Augustine where we live just to eat here for dinner. I also love the little Mexican market they have authentic treats, foods, and drinks available for purchase. I let my kids get some tamarind candy on a spoon that they loved and some mango with chile and lime. The daughter of the family who owns the market restaurant was very nice and told us about some of the candy. I can’t wait to go back!!

This is my second time here. Came for lunch with a coworker. The service is amazing, the food is great, it’s clean and cozy. I’ll definitely come back. Don’t listen to some of the negative reviews. This place is great.

Been coming here since I was 8, love this place service is impeccable same people have been here since I was a kid the food is consistently good fast and well priced! I work construction and often place large orders for all my coworkers and have never had a hassle getting the food. This place recently expanded and has plenty of room to accommodate large parties(we’ve had parties over 12 and didn’t have any problem) and the best part is it’s not owned by a big company and it has that feel. I would go here over the new place in green cove any day:)

Fajitas are so good. We did take out. Food was so delicious. Call them for made-to-order. Local flavor must try if you are Mexican food lover.

Thus was our first time dining here. The food was amazing. Very good and served nice and hot. The service was a little slow only because they were very busy and I only saw 2 waitresses. The only downside is parking is very very limited.

Good food good service dining in or takeout. Food not over salted, you get sides and fresh toppings with your order.

I am so proud of them for expanding! It is the best Mexican food in the surrounding areas in my opinion. My group goes every Thursday to not only enjoy the food but share good times with the lovely wait staff. I couldn't recommend this place more!

Delicious food, great atmosphere. My daughter said the mojarra (fried fish) was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, which doesn't happen at some places. The molcajete had chicken, shrimp, chorizo, pork, and beef in this sauce that was amazing. The waitress, Antonia, was hilarious and attentive, rounding off an already good experience. Will be coming back, again.

Love this place and our waitress is always the best and has turned me on to this butterflied stuffed ribeye wrapped in bacon and topped with caso and red sauce it is the best!

First, you walk through the store to the restaurant. I thought this was really cool and provided a great atmosphere. The service is friendly and timely. The food is great. The entrance is on the back of the building but easy to find.

This was always a family favorite, though we hadn't been in eons. My family used to join me for lunch here, during work hours.

You can't beat the Pollo Fundido!

Recently moved to green cove and have tried a few Mex places. There was always something missing though at them. I've seen reviews about this place and my husband let me pick where we would have our anniversary dinner tonight. I'm so glad we came here for it! The food was delicious, the service was attentive, the atmosphere had that personal touch to it and the grocery side of it was the icing on the cake. It's obviously popular but feels like a hidden gem. I had the Carne Asada and my husband said next time he wants to order it because it was so tender and flavorful!!! Everything was but that was my favorite thing and had to share the recommendation.

We had a fantastic meal here today. We had heard through word-of-mouth that this was a very good place to get authentic Mexican food. When you go here you will need to park in the back of the store and go in to the Mexican store entrance. The store has all kinds of goodies and spices to buy to make your own dinners.

I ordered a shrimp quesadilla and a steak sopa with a big glass of Horchata. My friend ordered two beautiful and gelatos topped with a creamy cheese sauce. It was a great meal and our waitress suggested that we try their green hot sauce. It was good but I'm still sweating. I will be back here every time I drive through Greencove springs.

I love coming here every time my mom and I come to stay a couple of nights from our trip, love it so much it's like we're all in Mexico!
