Woodberry Hills Elementary School

My mom went to this school in the late 1970s and she is from Danville, Virginia it was in September 1977 that is on her school record she went here in the United States during teens in the 80s and early 90s she was done with school in 1991 at age 19 when I was born.

My son's teachers have always been informative, and on point. They have done an amazing job thus far. My 2 star deduction is based on the faculty, which can be ill informed and resort to threat/intimidation tactics, even for a simple mistake. I am disabled, and raising my boy alone. This school has been made aware,more than once. If you so much as forget an absence note ONCE...that is right.Once....prepare to have a threatening letter mailed home with your child the very same day he goes back to school. No warning, just threats of relations court & intimidation. Besides that fact, on account my condition can leave me bed ridden on flare ups, my son had missed a few days. In came the threatening letters again. The faculty obviously has a job to do, and there are parents out there who cannot follow rules and require discipline for such bad parenting. That being said, for making an honest mistake once, they need to tone down the brashness of their resorting to threats & intimidation so quickly, and get their facts in order before they judge the good parents( especially ones on their own with a disability) The School has potential though. Just needed to air this out.
