Cameo Theater

Going to a movie at The Cameo is like being back in time. From the actual marquee to the large, carpeted lobby and smell of popping corn, I was transported back to my childhood and teens. The seats have been replaced, however, and are now plush, leather deep thrones! No more folding, thin padded rows of seating. The image quality was great. Parking in Columbian Square can be challenging.

Such a cozy neighborhood gift. Shows new releases -- typically a family movie on one screen and an adult movie on the other.

My Dad used to take me to this theater growing up. It's a classic theater but the seats have been updated. Tickets are always cheap popcorn and soda is always cheap, and the inside is like being in a time machine. If you've never been to an old movie theater I highly recommend it or if you just want to see a movie cheaper.

Lovely gem! Staff is always friendly and prices are reasonable (half of the big chains). Popcorn is fresh and not too salty!

This movie theater is just perfect! Old fashioned feel but new amenities when it comes to viewing the movie. The staff are the kindest people and you just feel comfortable bringing your family here. The concession stand has all the needed things for “going out to the movies “ and nothing over the top (you want to save that for eating out at a restaurant anyways). This place is a treasure!

I love the cameo! I've been going since I was a kid. The prices are great and staff is super nice. You're always able to get a great seat.

Would far more watch a good movie in such a friendly place. Good prices and screen a bit smaller (not much) than some cinemas, sound good. And support wonderful family that keeps this running. Wonderful to community! I have a sub in square, and still gotta have my popcorn and soda here! Also great newer seats comfy.

I have always loved this theater. I must have gone at least a hundred times since I was a child. The tickets are an unmatched deal. I think that before 7pm the tickets are 5.50 and after they are 7.50. that's half the cost of other theaters. It is a very well air conditioned space and is warm in the winter. They renovated.a few years ago and put in very comfortable chairs. In total It only has two theaters, but plays most of the money movies.typically has a movie for kids and one for adults.I see all my monies there, it's a good time

Such a great movie theater for low key day or night with little kids. Great prices and so cute inside. Always a nice time when I go there.

May be a small theater but it’s worth it, it has character! Ever since they remodeled the seats are much better and comfortable and the rugs look much better as well! Cameo theater is definitely much cheaper then going to other cinemas so it saves me and my family money going out for the night. Very happy with the staff as well very pleasant! Thank you!!

A great place to see a movie! The people who work there couldn’t be nicer. The theater is lovely and spotless clean. The popcorn is made fresh ! You can’t go wrong ! Love going there.

Just visited here last night, what a classy, clean, and unique venue. Nice neighborhood, the theater itself is as big as the smallest "big theater" you've been to. The staff is super friendly and laid back, It's plenty big, sound and visuals are great. And you just can't beat the price, no need to go anywhere else for movie night.

This is a great old time theater with comfy updated leather seats! This is a great place to watch a movie and very inexpensive. The place is clean and the staff is friendly and very accomodating to large or special groups.
