Appomattox Inn and Suites

The lady at the front desk when we arrived was the absolute best. She was super happy and bubbly. What we needed after a day on the road. Smaller town lovely location. Gave me the small town comfort feels. The hotel itself was lovely, clean, and smelled amazing. I honestly wouldn't mind staying here again for days. Super easy to get too, even with some road construction.

Right off the highway, just over the bridge from the National Park, super easy to find. Didn't arrive until after 10pm and everyone was so nice. The room was very nice, temp was comfortable in the room when we arrived. The complimentary breakfast was great, nice selection of choices, cereal, sausage gravy and biscuits, the makings for breakfast sandwiches or waffles, muffins, yogurt, 3 kinds of juice plus coffee. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff was extraordinary. From the time we checked in with Carson through our stay with Karen and our final checkout with Jonathan. Because of Jonathan's wonderful personality and attention to us on the phone when when we called for information we chose Appomattox Inn to stay. We are so glad we did and got to chat with wonderful staff including Britney and Nancy. So glad we made this choice and will be staying again.

My husband and I stayed here over Christmas, and were very happy with our experience! Staff were super nice and helpful, rooms were very clean, had no trouble with hot water, and breakfast was good - even though it was over a major holiday and we had low expectations. We had a suite with a separate bedroom, and it was very spacious. We have family in the area and wil definitely return to this hotel!

With some of the best staff I have come across along with nice rooms, I'd highly recommend. The inn is also located in close proximity to some amazing American history.

While here on Thanksgiving, Karen went above and beyond and brought in multiple pies for the guests and handed out slices in the lobby. A great time overall.

We were planning to stay in town for one night and had a reservation somewhere else. Upon check in there we decided that was not the safest or best decision. So we drove straight over to the Appomattox Inn hoping they'd have a room for 4 people on short notice. When we walked in, a beautiful fresh smell greeted us along with two unbelievable employees who became our angels that day! The lobby is gorgeous by the way! A well appointed bar for those who partake. So Rebecca and Carson set us up with a great room. We have 2 teenagers and needed a roll away bed and some extra pillows and blankets. Carson promptly had them at our door! Our room was spacious and spotless! Everything about this place was just so welcoming! We felt safe and comfortable! We went out to dinner based on one of the recommendations from staff, it was a delicious home-cooked style meal! We loved it!!!! After a good rest and a hot shower, we went downstairs for breakfast! And a lovely filling breakfast it was! Eggs, ham, sausage, Biscuits, gravy, potatoes, Waffles, breads, muffins, cereals, yogurts, fruits, juices, teas and fresh hot coffee! The breakfast staff was all smiles and making sure to keep things filled and exceptionally clean! Our check out was quick and easy! In all my years, I've never encountered a place like this! I was told this hotel has 4 private owners. Who clearly want things a very specific way and holds a high standard for their staff. The details included here are because they have the guests in mind 100%. It's all about you. Lots of little amenities at a reasonable price. I'm positive they have tons of repeat customers! We would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you all so much for your love and hospitality!

This is THEE go-to place in Appomattox, VA. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. During the past five years, my family has had to use their services often; everything from family reunions to memorial service accommodations, the Inn has been a life-saver. I'm quite sure, when being built, this location did not fully anticipate being so busy. So, if you have plans - book as early as possible. They stay full. The rooms are beautiful. The atmosphere is wonderful.

Although the town itself is quaint, the location is great (a lot of history in Appomattox), the Inn is easily accessible to the highway and very close to eateries and shopping.

My father in law lives out of state and always stays here when he comes to visit. The rooms are always clean and the AC works very good. The staff here are very friendly and hospitable. It's located right next to 460 so it takes only a minute to get back on the highway and it's only a few minutes from town. The pool is also nice, just wish they had umbrellas at the tables. Great place to stay!

Beautiful hotel with very clean rooms. Good breakfast selection with a lobby drink/snack bar. This hotel also has an outdoor pool and a nice, large patio to sit out on. Would certainly stay again.

I brought a group here for a three day weekend. Dana and Jonathan were great to work with. We rented the conference room for one night and it was set up perfectly. Rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend.

By far, this is the best hotel in the area (including Lynchburg). You get all the value and you don't have to sacrifice comfort.

For breakfast, the lady would cook a batch of fresh sausage and eggs and just put enough out so nothing ever got old or stale. She was constantly washing the sausage and egg utensils to keep them clean.

My husband is very judgy about luggage carts. We travel a lot and nothing makes him madder than a rickety cart, with broken squeaky wheels and no hooks to hang bags. He smiled wildly when he saw these sturdy, smooth gliding plenty of hook hanging carts and praised their luggage carrying abilities to everyone he met.

The staff was friendly and personable when we checked it.

If you want a beer or wine after a long day of traveling or sightseeing, you can sit right in the lobby and relax.

There is a tiny souvenir area where you can buy some local items.

The hotel is close to Lynchburg, around the corner from the Appomattox NP, and a brewery.

Nice little hotel, if you own an EV, they have two chargers you can use, just visit the front desk and ask, they will turn them on for you, free of charge.

Amazing place to stay! Clean rooms (beds are a little hard) and awesome accomodations! They are very Handicap friendly. The front desk girl, Ashley, is super friendly! We will definitely be back 😁

Great place to stay, spacious rooms, and prices are reasonable. We stay here often on our travels

Came here to stay overnight for a wedding nearby. Staff were SO friendly (they even do room calls in the evenings to make sure guests are happy with everything in their room). It's in a quiet location, everything was really clean. They served a lovely breakfast which was complimentary and had a 24-hour coffee bar. I couldn't believe how huge the shower was in my room! I feel like I robbed this place for how little I paid to stay here. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a place to stay in Appalachia!

My wife and I based our decision to stay here on previous reviews. We were not disappointed. Excellent staff very helpful. Great location for visiting historical sites. Breakfast was good and the room was top notch. A special thanks to Karen who was extremely helpful.

Stayed there this past Tuesday. Ashley greeted us. She was welcoming, professional, lovely person. Room was beautiful. Breakfast was very good, made better by the wonderful breakfast lady. Definitely stay here when u visit the area.

I have been staying here since it opened with the service and rooms staying the same if not better.

Staff is VERY accommodating and VERY courteous!

The morning breakfast adds to the reason I would come here each time I visit Appomattox. The woman that maintains the breakfast area, specifically Wednesday - Friday, very personable and attentive. Always came around to let the guests know when she refreshed the hot food and was attentive to each one of us enjoying the breakfast. She even came around to ask if we wanted any additional items before she closed.

No other hotel in the area can come close.

Home away from home is how I feel when I stay here.

I wish I could give remember the gentleman's name that checked us in but he is a GOLD STAR employee. We checked in on Wednesday, August 17th about 2:30pm. I hope you are able to identify him to give him his praise, he deserves to be acknowledged.
