Natours Groceries, Gas and Deli

On my way to Fort Lee I stopped in Appomattox for a late lunch. Not knowing the town well, I asked a local, then found this place.

Probably the best cheeseburger I have had in years, with delicious coleslaw & perfect sweet tea. Under $10.00, and the cook let me sample their chili & their macaroni salad. Outstanding all around, and super friendly, polite staff.

Barring accidents & the crick gettin' up, I will eat there again.

Best fried chicken in town😊

I just seen an episode about this place on PBS. I would love to stop by. But not to have their so called famous fried chicken. They showed her cooking it, and the oil in her fryer is so gross it was almost black. You have to change the oil more often. Disgustung

I do love their chuck wagons and hamburgers and French fries.

I work here. Until today. It's owned by a Indian guy and his family now. As of beining of 2022... the building is in bad shape. Holes in the floors. No lights in the deli. The heat doesn't work and hasn't worked in a month or more now. They do not want to buy food for the deli. The employees do. I got fired for not wanting to work in a store with no heat. Poor business owners. My paycheck bounces every week at the bank and they have to pay me at the store. I do not get a check stub or anything like that. I don't even get paid on time.

Might be time to tear this down and rebuild completely. Ice machine halfway hanging from the ceiling by a chain because the bottom part of the soda dispenser is missing. Megan the cashier said its because of back order that the new piece isn't in yet so the top part is just dangling down. Floor is weak and sinking in several spots. The car wash beside the place is in total disrepair. Looks like no one wants to spend money to update the place.

This place is not the same. It's so Rude. That you can not take food back, That was not properly made. With out the owner catching an attitude. If Im paying for something I want it the way I expect it to be. Not the way u thank sorry. But I'm sorry u want be getting money from me anymore. I have never been to a place where u can't return something that's not right. so customer beware!!!!!
