If you are looking for a slice of nostalgia along with a hot dog or cheeseburger special, this diner is your place. If you prefer an order to go, the waitresses will come to your car to get your order and bring your food out to you. Lots of people eat here regularly.

It's nothing to look at, but it's still the best fast food around! Don't go because you want ambiance, go because you want good, inexpensive good and great service!! I no longer live in Danville, but stop in every time I'm in town.

Folks if you are a local then you know that Mama Possum is the place to go for the best cheeseburger or hot dog around. If you are passing through town and want a bite to eat well I suggest you program the GPS to Mama Possum's address. Now it's nothing fancy but it's been in business for over 40 years and it's the only place you can just drive up and someone will come out to your car and take your order and within minutes bring you back a hot delicious meal. Local landmark of great food.

I personally like their style of hamburgers much better than The Big Mac or The Whopper or any of the other national chains.

Nice little Mom & Pop style restaurant, our waitress was super nice, attentive & personable! Hotdogs were pretty good too.

DANVILLE’S VERY OWN LOCAL LUNCH SPOT. Always for the lunchtime win. Their Hotdog special or Cheeseburger special is a go-to for me and baby when we want an easy quick bite. Good prices. Diner style vibes. Always the nicest servers. The place is HIM.

Need a cheeseburger this is the place to go if your a local you know that the food is fresh and fast only thing is I wish they salt the fries just a tad..

So I am visiting with a company. I stopped in and this older lady (like 700) comes up “how ya doing hun?” Now I just looked the place up and seen the star rating, and said why not. But when this ol lady came with her sweat demeanor, with a ol country draw l knew that this may be good. I was right!!! If you don’t go get these hot dogs you are missing!

Everybody should eat at Mama Possums! A throw back from a time when high school kids would go to the local burger joint after a ball game, dance or a movie.

They offer curb service, which is a rarity in the 21st century. The location is small and quaint but extremely clean and the food is unbelievable! All the wait staff will call you "honey", or "sugar" which makes you feel right at home.

Such delicious food for such a good price. All the ladies are so sweet every time we eat here! Such an underrated diner.

This restaurant has been in the same place sense i was a child im 32 now. It might be a nook in the wall and hard to find if you dont know where it is. But i beg you to search harder this place is awesome. Good food prices and people.

Fantastic Brunswick stew!

When ever you are in the area you need to check them out. They make their own chili and slaw. Employees are great, they treat you like family.

My work partner and I came in for a legit quick bite between calls. Their food is always delicious and served with a smile.
