The best gluten free pancakes I’ve ever had! Fast, great service, and the murals are great.

Edit: visited after 8 months, gluten free pancakes were still amazing. Classic dinner feel at the restaurant.

I arrived right at 6:00am and the restaurant was pretty empty, a few parties started to trickle in around 6:30 but it stayed slow for the most part.

The most striking thing about this diner is the large murals of Aladdin and the Little Mermaid on the walls. There aren't any booths, but there is hightop seating. I would say that if your party is larger than 4, it would probably be difficult to stay together if the place was busy. There were maybe 3 tables that had six chairs. It's not a large restaurant.

I'm not sure if it was because it was slow but the food came out super quick and was hot and ready to eat all at once. I noticed that the 5 other parties also received their food pretty fast and the waitress made rounds in between to refill everyone's coffee around the diner.

The staff was very friendly greeting and treating everyone as if they were long time friends.

I had corned beef hash with eggs and potatoes and it was good to eat, nothing phenomenal or groundbreaking. It was just a good meal.

If you're looking for a friendly diner for breakfast it's a nice spot. Nothing above and beyond, but great for the atmosphere and the service.

Great breakfast in one of East Boston’s iconic location for breakfast and lunch. Service is friendly and ambience is All-American with walls adorned with Disney themed murals.

Donna's is a very homey & family oriented mainly breakfast diner with lots of regular visitors. Don't expect Kona Coffee or Earl Grey or other foo-foo teas. But I'm giving them a 5 star because of their delicious food. That was the best sausage pepper and eggs scramble I'd ever had & believe me, I'm an egg dish aficionado. It was yummy! So was the French Toast. Excellent!

When I was a kid, I'd wake up to the delicious aroma of breakfast being cooked by my parents. The sounds of skillets and pans scraping across the cooktop, bacon and sausage crackling, and laughter and banter filling the air. It's a warm and cherished memory -- one stirred when eating at Donna's Restaurant. Delicious food, great service, and a feel of yesteryear sought by anyone with a heart.

Grew up in Westborough, MA. As a kind and young adult you are so limited. Came up to Boston for my 30th today on a whim. Love it. Game 6 for Celtics later tonight...win or lose...will be fun sports!

So, stumbling upon Donna’s next to the LOVELY Orient Heights Beach park was amazing.

SUPER lovely staff. Real. Like you and I.

Food is simple. Nonsense free. TASTY. Some dishes may cause heart burn. You can eat very tasty calories here and plenty of them.

Reasonable prices. Now nostalgic Disney movie paint in the artistic style of that era.

It's your basic diner breakfast. The eggs are good quality, and the staff is nice. I'd eat here again. I've been to several other diners and this place is great in comparison.

Quick and DELICIOUS... my husband and I stopped here on the way back down from the airport and it DID NOT disappoint
he’s a big breakfast guy I’m not but the dish we both choose was amazing and it kind of combined both of our favorite things

I had a side of hashbrowns and he had a short stack of pancakes....everything was very filling we weren’t able to finish it all but the leftovers made a nice treat later in the day

Donna's is always great. The steak and eggs comes out quick and is very filling. This place is my breakfast spot of choice.

Excellent food. New England Coffee is great. But everyone knows the obvious. What I take away is their atmosphere, service with a smile and very clean. Everyone in the staff wants only one thing: enjoy the best breakfast around with awesome people. Don’t miss out!

Love taking my family here. Very friendly staff. Love the disney theme wall art when your dinning. Food is amazing and portion size is perfect. Im always going home with some left overs.

One of my favorite local breakfast spots. They offer a wide menu with everything you could want for breakfast or lunch. Parking can be q little tricky but usually can find a spot around the block if not out front. Staff is always friendly and attentive. They do close around 1pm so they only serve breakfast and lunch. The place is hand painted with Disney characters and is very inviting.

Fantastic breakfast, it was my first time & unfortunately, it'll be my last as they are closing permanently. Really great food, super friendly service & enjoyable experience on our way out of Boston.

Amazing breakfast!!! First time there today and can't wait to go back. Attentive service, quick food delivery. Blueberry pancakes were hearty and flavorful. Scrambled eggs cooked perfectly and a generous portion of bacon. Friendly staff and happy customers... alot of regulars...so you know it's gotta be good. Thanks for making my day!!!

I was greeted by a super friendly waitress who got my water and coffee just about as soon as I sat down. This place is a typical greasy spoon! Everything you want for breakfast. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the potatoes were really good! But the pancakes. YOU GUYS. THESE PANCAKES WERE SO GOOD!

I will do nothing else but praise this place. The young lady I spoke to I found it was named Donna. The place was phenomenal and she directed us to places we ere looking for. She knew everything that we wanted to get to. It was me and my wife’s anniversary and we decided to eat at this little dinner which I will go to over and over again. Than you ladies and gentlemen for taking our order and mail it amazing. I would giv you 9 out of 10 stars if that was possible eat here if you can. They’ll Trey you like you’re family.
