Danville Family YMCA

The YMCA is a wonderful place to workout, the staff are extremely professional and kind, the people that are at the YMCA are very nice, everyone has a smile on their face, and I love water aerobics.

The Y has lots of classes to choose from, a nice indoor track, and an excellent pool. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The water aerobics classes are my favorite... They are not your grandma's water aerobics!
The locker room and steam room are nice as well.
I've found the machines in the workout area are not "extra fluffy" person friendly, which was disappointing.
Also, the handicap ramp into the building is difficult to navigate if you have any mobility issues. You get an extra workout on the way into the building.

Everything in our ymca is beyond what we expected.Enjoyed my day with grandson.And our new family member possie lol

Our family has been a member of the YMCA for the last 28 years and loves it, dating back to the previous building on Main Street. We use the facility 4 to 5 times weekly. Incredibly friendly staff. Recent equipment upgrades. Very high standards of cleanliness. Beautiful location on the Dan River that is adjacent to the Riverwalk.

Looks like a five star hotel and the staff members I met were awesome.

Excellent site! The facilities are LOVELY. The view of the river (and downtown across it) from where you find the exercise machines and weights (2nd floor) is gorgeous. The delightful and well chlorinated indoor pool is one of my favorite things in Danville. Even the massage therapist who works in the building is excellent.

I love this place! Such a wonderful facility for the region. But membership is too expensive!

Nice gym facility. Tried attending their volleyball open gym but no one showed up to play.

The desk workers are great a little over enthusiastic for their job to point of being almost rude.

I joined a few months ago and I have been pleased thus far. The staff is all friendly and helpful, the equipment is always clean and stays in great condition and the location is convenient to both work and home. I do wish I had access to the steam room but do use the sauna often.

The price a month is a decent value for what you get here.

This brand new facility is by far the nicest YMCA I have ever seen. The equipment is ultra modern. The layout is better than the high end fitness club and spa I was a member at in Oregon. The young people at the front desk were super friendly. I'm quite pleased to be a member of this club.

We go there to fish above and below the spillway. Great times. Great fish. We always throw back for next year

Kind, compassionate people work there. Always ready to help. I work inside at SOVAH SPORTS MED&REHAB and I see everyday the great things the YMCA does for others. Danville is blessed to have them.

Great access to the ro er and the trail

Good place to exercise clean and friendly. Fishing off the banks is nice and a challenge if you're persistent you can catch nice size fish. Make sure you have your fishing license for Virginia or NC because Game Warden definitely comes and checks

Love it!!! Especially Love Zumba classes pre- COVID. Now enjoying the treadmill, stationery bicycle, and all the weight machines. Looking forward to trying water aerobics next. Very modern clean facility.

Great place to work out. Great views of the Dan River and easy access to the river walk trail. Good yoga classes and spin. Women’s room has a nice Sauna. Friendly staff too.

Nice and clean facility, everyone is super friendly and makes you feel welcomed! There’s always someone waiting to help in anyway they can! There’s multiple classes you can take to help you reach your goals like Zumba and Yoga and there’s a sauna in the women’s!! Best place to be!!!

Friendly staff and clean location. Exercise equipment is in great shape. Most times of the day there isn’t a wait to use equipment. There are plenty of classes you can sign up for. The YMCA application is good, which makes checking the schedule very easy.
