Virginian Motel

New ownership for hotel are fantastic. First time staying with them and we forgot to notify them of our service animal. I went back in office and the owner was more than awesome about it all. They are also renovating so I recommend anyone needing to stop at hotel in this area to choose them over the bigger brands. The staff is awesome the owners the whole vibe was a break from the rude entitled hotels of the big chains

Well satisfied with our stay. Older privately owned motel. Bedding and linens very clean and beds were comfortable. We had great internet. If you are looking for the glitz of a $160 room like we enjoyed last night in Charleston you may not appreciate the value of a clean, comfortable bed at 1/3 the cost. We did.

Comfortable rooms at very affordable prices! The owner is extremely accommodating and helpful- he gave us the inside scoop on things to do in and around Stuart. It's not The Ritz but if you're looking for a decent room at a great price you can't beat it. I will definitely stay again!

Good value! Everything I cared about was great! Comfortable bed, good ac, great wifi, water was hot with good pressure, very quiet, no bugs, and the guy running the place was really nice. As others have said it's pretty run down, so don't expect the Ritz but for the price it's totally worth it.

Great hotel with really great staff. Any questions or concerns are addressed immediately by the staff. The room are affordable and clean. They have amenities needed to make your stay comfortable. Would definitely recommend and will be back to stay again.

Under new management,the new owner is super cool and really does do a great job at keeping the bad out of there,the rooms are all under renovation and the ones that are completed look so very nice.The price is great as well.Jeremy definitely deserves a chance from you when you visit this town,he is amazing and will give you the shirt off of his back,he came down to our room to make sure we had enough towels,he also gave my kids multiple treats,showers are hot,rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.

The guy who runs the place was amazing. He checked on us to make sure the rooms were good, helped us find some antacids when my wife needed some, and was all around a great host. I would go back just to deal with him again.

Very nice place. Very quiet. Always Clean linen, and the bed was always made up. Very friendly people. Would recommend it to anyone. Was very reasonable and I could have my little Chihuahua with us. Very pet friendly place and if you have a pet I'd recommend you go here cause I couldn't find any pet friendly place.

It was clean and staff was great and attentive. The rooms are really quiet overall. Wifi, cable and AC/heat was included and the prices are really good. We will absolutely stay there again!

Great place to stay. Clean, comfortable and helpful, staff(Shan) never has a attitude. Unlike other more expensive places I've stayed. Exalent location to Lovers Leap, Blue Ridge Parkway and Hanging Rock in NC. While I was there they were constantly making improvements to the room. So I would suggest you make a reservation before the rated go up.

My boyfriend and I drove up from charlotte to buy an atv and ended up having to stay overnight. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. We had our two dogs with us.. a greyhound and a golden retriever. He was more than happy to let them stay as well and even offered beds for the dogs. 😍😍 It was a little dated but very very clean and the bed is very comfortable. I highly recommend the virginian!!

super clean, long hot shower, the room smelled sooo good like fresh baby powder or something, i love the remodel. use the perheat bathroom setting, it's 2 cool... Veteran owned, good job guy... I can't wait for our next visit... p.s. if you need anything, the staff will make it happen... :)

Ross and his staff member, Mavis, were both personable and very helpful. We had a very good stay overnight. As in some of the reviews, the hotel is dated, but comfortable and clean and Ross is in the process of renovations. The price is appropriate for a 'frugal' budget. The bed suited me just right. There was a new air conditioning unit in our room, which was quiet and worked well. I was able to hook to wifi perfectly. There was a microwave and refrigerator. The TV was dated being analog and didn't have the cripsness of the new digital tvs, but then I'm dated too, so it was just up my alley. :-) The cable worked great, so there was no problem with being able to watch tv. Ross directed my husband and I to the mexican restaurant in town and the breakfast restaurant in the morning. Both of which we very much enjoyed. It is a small town atmosphere, with friendly and welcoming people. We are planning on being back in the Stuart VA area in the winter months and will be booking at the Virginian motel again. The Virginian was a great price and quite comfortable! The area was safe, quiet, and we had everything we needed. There is a nice fitness trail across the street. We hiked beautiful Fairystone State Park, less than 30 minutes away. Stayed an extra night just to enjoy and relax. The owners are onsite and made us feel welcome. If you want plush, go pay plush prices.

Great stay on several occasions, and more planned if the weather cooperates. Understand ahead of your trip that there are no resorts in Stuart, Patrick County. The Virginian stands alone for overnight accommodations in any direction for many miles. Upon arrival you're met with architecture from the 60s and 70s. Anything more wouldn't fit the town. The rooms are clean, and the staff have made significant investments in updating them. Rooms have new televisions, paint, carpet and bedding. Important to me, above fluff and features, it is safe. The motel rests a few yards from the town law enforcement station. My wife does most of my booking, even upon arrival, and I'm very pleased with how she is treated. Ive been to 48 states and nowhere have i had personal attention like that of Ross who manages the facility. Issues are addressed promptly and respectfully. The building is old, but Ross and his team go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met and that your environment is secure. What the room lacks in frills, management makes up for in personal attention. Expect an appropriately priced room with a great service value. Opportunities in town are minimal. Business is slim. A gas station, Hardees, and Wal-Mart are the only familiar signage. Local fuel stations do multi duty as fuel, produce, food and outboard oil, but available meals are gooood. Ross will point you in the right direction. Don't be alarmed when staff knocks on your door shortly after check in. They are serious about accommodating your needs.

My family and I stayed here 10/2019. We all stayed in 3 seperate rooms. The rooms were clean. The hotel staff were very courteous and made our visit more enjoyable. PET FRIENDLY!!

Owner/staff were very friendly and also very pet friendly. Considering the price (online is cheapest) this was a good location, close to a couple places to eat, and a fine room. Nice place.

Very nice staff and a good country atmosphere. Rooms are nothing fancy but are clean and well priced. Most rooms have flat screen tv and microwave and fridge.

It's a great place. Near main street, and the local park. Everything is in walking distance. Plus a Mexican restaurant close by. The rooms are neat and tidy. Also really clean. We will go back in the near future.

The rooms are very clean. They have rooms separated for smokers and non smokers. Please don’t judge the motel by the outside it is very nice on the inside l. And the prices are very low and affordable. Please try it out.
