Who knew I would get a delicious patty melt and a picture with Santa! What a Christmas miracle! Cash only so be aware of that. Had very friendly service and they have great french fries!

We got right in and sat down and our drinks came right away. We had to wait a while for our food to come out, but it came out hot and delicious. Our server made sure our drinks were always full. I don't hold the server accountable for the wait on the food, so 5 ⭐ all around.

Great food on a budget. Dad and I had pork cutlet w/ gravy. Came with three sides. Cabbage was tasty as was cucumber salad. For both of us it was $20 total + tax. Will be back.

Great portions, Prices and people. Good old home town family diner. Not enough of these around anymore. Come support this American Tradition.

13 years ago I moved to New York from Florida. We came back on vacation and we are on our way to the west coast and found the Pioneer Restaurant by chance. I cannot rave enough about how good it was to have an amazing southern meal! Staff definitely showed that good ole southern hospitality while treating you like family and making southern country comfort food that makes me want to move back.

Down home style cooking. Old school atmosphere. Friendly staff

You can't get good food cheaper or with better service. When you walk in the door It's like taking a time machine back to 1972. Don't ever change anything!

We drove 45 minutes based on a recommendation. We loved it. This is an old Florida place serving old southern home-made recipes. We went for breakfast, but will be back for dinner soon. We had the honor and pleasure of meeting the owner and she's delightful. The restaurant is family owned and "mostly" operated. As we ate our wonderful eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, gravy and biscuits, locals gathered for conversation, coffee and socializing. I LOVE places like this. We'll definitely be back.

Another hidden gem of a restaurant that my wife and I pass often. After many times driving by we decided to stop in for dinner for the first time and it was a pleasant surprise. The bacon cheeseburger I ordered was cooked beautifully and had a very nice flavor, as did the french fries. The only words of caution I provide is that this restaurant is cash-only so be prepared for that when you visit.

Awesome little family restaurant. The chicken salad on the salad bar is incredible. Frog legs were fun and good but not that spectacular. The crab cakes made my taste buds dance. Lots of choices on the menu.

Good old country food, felt at home with the staff. Prices are good. Don't try to use a credit card, they're cash only. Old school.

Every time we are in Florida we drive out of our way to visit this place for their fried pork chops you won't be disappointed bring cash no credit cards but what a great place

This is a backwater restaurant patronized by everyone in the area. I am not exaggerating when I say that for $11.99 this afternoon I had the best fried chicken I have ever had in my 76 years on this planet. It takes 20 minutes to get it because it is cooked to order. It’s half a chicken. I got it with mashed potatoes and gravy and collard greens. The club soda was free. I then had lemon meringue pie and coffee. The pie was really good too although it’s not hard to make a good lemon meringue pie. They had half a dozen other enticing deserts. It’s over an hour from my house but it’s a nice ride and I bet the other items are good also.

You need to call ahead because they sometimes have to close because of a labor shortage.
