Wheels of Delight

This was the best bike rental experience I have ever had. The owner was more than accommodating when I needed a smaller bike. He went out of his way to get a smaller bike from his offsite warehouse. The bikes took us across the entire island with ease. The owner gave us clear directions to amazing bike paths. Owner is very down to earth, friendly, and generous. Will definitely rent here again next season and tell everyone I know to do the same.

My husband and I had more fun renting amazing ebikes from Tobias at this beautiful, environmentally correct shop. He also gave us great helmets and a lock, not to mention helpful tips and directions. And furthermore he’s an intellectual! Started off the day with a book recommendation and discussion of construction of their solar paneled roof. Could not recommend this business more highly! Go and enjoy, do something good for the environment and your own health. 😊👍🏽

Excellent experience! Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and the bikes were like new. Seat was very comfortable and we ended up covering the majority of the bike paths on Nantucket in a day. Would highly recommend if you are planning on touring the island by bike.

We had the absolute best day thanks to Wheels of Delight in Nantucket. They were so easy to use and their service was wonderful and professional. They gave a full run through of the E-Bikes and their features and gave a phone number if we had any issues. We were able to drop off after hours easily. We had the best time exploring Sconset, Quidnet & Town. Would definitely recommend.

Loved the electric bike I rented while in Nantucket! Wheels of Delight was very helpful showing how to use the bike safely. The bike itself was better quality than I have experienced with other bike rentals. I can’t wait to go back and rent again!

Thank you Tobias for your generous spirit and excitement about the ebikes. My husband I have been riding on Nantucket for 45 years. We have lived here for years. I still ride everyday. My husband recently has some health issues and he has been wanting to ride to Sconset. The ebike afforded us to go. We loved them! I am not sure I can go back to regular biking. We were able to see the island, relax, get some exercise and bike all at the same time. It was wonderful. I am so encouraged to find a great hybrid way to experience the Nantucket we love!

I had never tried an ebike before renting here, super cool! We made it to all the way to Sconset and Madaket - both ends of the island - with a little charge to spare and definitely had fun riding.
The guys at the shop were very friendly and explained the different modes on the bikes.
And they charge the bikes using solar panels on the roof too 🌲🌲

Had a great time on these ebikes thingy. They're kind of a gamble for us but damn did we have a great time. It was so much more easier to peddle throught the uphills. And the owners were just as friendly. I think pretty much the best way to be around Nantucket and the batteries last for very long.

Such a great way to explore the island with these bikes! Would recommend 10/10!!

Omg. This bike was the best thing ever, no way i would have comfortably biked 20+ miles in under 1.5 hours. We’ll be back for sure!

Great customer service and quality of bicycles!

I called ahead of our visit to reserve 2 electric bikes. I spoke with someone there (I believe the owner) who after telling him the day and time we wanted said in a very confident tone not to worry I don’t need a reservation there will be plenty of bikes, just come on by. Guess what?? When we came on by on that day and time there were no bikes! I explained this story to the guy working and he seemed not surprised this happened and also seemed to not care in the slightest. Little customer service goes a long way

I had a disappointing experience with Wheels of Delight this past week. I called a month ago to reserve 2 bikes for the weekend, knowing it was a busy weekend on the island. I spoke with someone on the phone who was admittedly on their day off, but they said it was no problem and that the bikes would be reserved for us. When we arrived to the shop on Friday, they were completely sold out of bikes and there was no record of our reservation. Very disappointing considering we took the time to order them ahead of time. Luckily the shop around the corner was able to rent us 2 bikes on the spot. I would not recommend renting from Wheels of Delight.

[UPDATED AUGUST 2022: made a bike reservation on-site and was told to return later that day to pick up. I returned as instructed but no one was there from WoD. Oh well!] I had an awful experience w/ a WoD employee this week. I had been trying to reserve a bike w/ Burley attachment through this employee on multiple occasions, during onsite visits to the store, for past 2.5 weeks. It was always rented out. On Tuesday, however, this same employee told me to my face, w/ the trailer attachment then on premises, that I could pick up the bike/trailer anytime today (Thursday). The employee wrote my name down. My 6 yo son was looking forward to exploring the island by bike. When I arrive to pick up today, there is no trailer attachment. The same employee told me that someone else had made a reservation for the trailer 2 months ago. We leave island tomorrow.

More like 'Wheels of Incompetence.' Avoid like the plague...a plague of ineptitude.

I called in March to reserve eBikes for July 4th week. They assured me that my reservation was taken and I would have the bikes I need for our family vacation. They took my credit card and I thought I was good to go.

I called again 1 month later to double confirm. They again assured me that the reservation was intact. Finally, a week before my trip, I called again to provide more details about our heights and to again confirm that they would deliver. Again, they assured me everything was good to go.

Then, silence. Silence on the delivery day. Silence the day after. Silence again the following day. Didn't return my phone calls or pick up their phone for days during the height fo the season.

Finally, I went down to the store to find out what's going on. "Sorry, our bad. We got busy. No more bikes."

Thanks for leaving me in a jam on the busiest week of the year.
Thanks for not having the courtesy to call and let me know you didn't have any bikes left.
Thanks for not picking up your phone for 2 days.
Thanks for not having the wherewithal to check your voicemail.
Thanks for making me spend my vacation chasing after you instead of enjoying myself.
Thanks for offering no help in securing another bike.

Don't trust 'Wheels of Ghosting Customers' with anything. Go with their direct competitor across the street.
