Sand Castle Motel

I booked 4 rooms for our out of town family & friends for a week in April 2024. We were all so impressed with the friendly, kind, helpful Owners & Reception Staff. Sand Castle has a gorgeous view from its beach property. Their newly rebuilt outdoor pool overlooking the ocean is long enough for lap swimming. The outdoor shower is great for rinsing off your sandy toes, or for having a complete wash. Beautiful new stairs bring you directly onto the incredible Florida sand. We were so impressed with the room cleanliness! Kitchenettes, comfy beds, newly remodelled step-in showers, & parking space were fabulous! In addition, you are walking-distance to beach shops and restaurants, making Sand Castle Motel one of a kind!!

This is my second time there, and it won't be my last. Both times, the rooms I was in had a lot of space, a full-size fridge, a full kitchenette, and most of all, CLEAN! Everything you need was included. Check-in was super fast and easy, and the gentleman was very nice. It's right on the beach, so it's just a few steps to the sand.

We stayed here 3/16-3/17. The owner was so nice. He allowed us early check in . The hotel was clean . It's right in the beach . Our family had a b last will def stay again!!!

This place here was a great place to stay. I really enjoyed the stay off there. He was wonderful. The room had a nice little kitchen in it. It was clean. The bed was great right there on the beach. Gonna ask for anything more. I definitely will try to get back there soon.

Looks a bit rough on the outside, decent on the inside. You can tell they are working on upgrading things. Clean for the most part, could definitely use a deep cleaning.
For the price and location you cannot go wrong!!

Great service, surprisingly comfortable beds, nice rooms, affordable.
My husband and I come to the area often to visit family. We choose sandcastle due to its location. It is a nostalgic motel directly on the beach. Not all of the rooms have ocean views, but there is a nice community breezeway facing the beach.
Currently their pool and beach access is down due to the hurricanes, but they are honest about it. There is beach access less than a block away.
The rooms are spacious and well furnished. The kitchenette was nicely equipped. The bathroom was spacious and bright and had a really nice walk in shower.
The best part about both of our stays were the comfortable beds. Seriously, we slept better here than at a lot of Airbnb's and resort hotels.
Like I said, we come to the area a lot. We will definitely be back.

Great place remodeled and staff is very friendly. I would def go back. Nice size king size bed with a full kitchen. The receptionist Minx is very helpful and answered all of our questions. They even have late check out for an extra fee which is awsome. Thanks again Minx

Cheap! And on top of that it was very clean and super cute! It’s right on the beach and has a pool. The rooms are small and kitschy, but you get two beds and a fun kitchen so I’m not complaining. The front desk lady was so sweet, there had been a problem with our card, but she helped us fix the error. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back here again!

this is a great low key place. the room had a kitchen and comfy beds. the beach access is closed but there’s one beside the building 30 seconds away. the man that runs it was very sweet and helpful!!

Loved this place. Was disappointed I couldn't book the whole reservation as a chunk and they filled up while we were there.

The staff is awesome. The location is great. The rooms we had, a double then the jacuzzi room, were wonderful. They were clean and had full kitchens

This review is on behalf of my father who spent the last week or so here. He said that Long really took care of him and was super helpful and that everything was so well stocked he didn't have to ask for anything. His room was spacious and clean and added so much to his experience he was very satisfied with his visit and how he wastreated that k you long for taking care of my dad and the rest of the staff too for everything they do !

The room was perfect for me while my home is being repaired from Hurricane Ian. The best part of my stay has been the staff, Lannie and her significant other are friendly and she's always checking to make sure you are enjoying your stay. My room was very clean and most rooms come with a real kitchen with a apartment size 4 burner stove and refrigerator. The cleaning staff were friendly as well.

My daughter and I spent one night so far and it's been pleasant stay. We have 5 more nights to go so we'll see...
After all, we stayed 6 nights and this is the best motel we've ever stayed. The staff, including the owners, were nice and very helpful. Our room was clean and quiet. We both loved its location in front of the beach. We'll definitely come back!
FYI, bring your own hair dryer.

Very clean, Office Staff Friendly. We booked a room online on the spur of the moment while leaving Orlando, headed that way. The owner is making renovations… the shower was new and very nice, the backsplash in the kitchenette was also new/nice. There were items that were older, but very clean! We only needed the room for sleep/shower, so it was perfect for us. We would stay there again!

My boyfriend booked this online without seeing. We checked in late Friday night & had an oceanfront room! Very clean room with kitchenette & super nice staff! Met a lot of nice people who have been going for years. The pool is very nice & large! The lady even came & gave us fresh towels & emptied trash. Definitely would stay again. The weather was perfect all weekend! Love the outside sitting areas! Our room was excellent for the ocean sunrise!

My family has been going to the Sandcastle on and off for 20 years or more. My grandfather came down from TN and always stayed in the same Ocean front room on the bottom floor. Big bang for your buck! Great rooms. Admittedly, it had been about 8 years since my last visit in August. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the rooms had been updated, but still the down to earth beachy feel. It is just steps away from a great fishing pier with fun restaurant. Great pool. And right on the ocean. What more can you ask? The only place I will stay in Daytona as long as it stands.

My name is Carrie I'm staying at Sand Castle, this is our 4th year here I didn't know it had new owners. The past 3 years were awesome, the girls who cleaned rooms and the guy cleaning outside done Great Job. This year hasn't been so good I don't have a problem paying to stay here it was alot more this year, I'm a smoker the ashtray hasn't been empty yet I use to put towels out in chair and girls would put new ones back, my bathroom sink drain doesn't work the guy working said he'd fix it not done I have to stand and hold it up. When we got here a guy said he was manager here and if I needed anything to let him know, the lady at front office said we don't have manager, she doesn't really understand English very well. I'd like to speak to owner, last owner was great never had a complaint. Hopefully someone will empty ashtray, or even ask if I need anything not being able to use sink in bathroom is irritating.

Very nice,,clean and quiet place. We stayed in the penthouse which was awesome! Great ocean views. The Manager,Shamus & Bonnie are over the top on customer service!! They will help with, ANYTHING! GREAT PEOPLE! Hope to stay here next year!

This place was amazing, full size kitchen (very convenient). I had room 111, a spacious ocean front room on ground floor. Patio furniture out each room, pool, laundry, extremely clean, beautifully decorated inside, outside a warm very inviting landscape. Additional patio furniture spaced throughout the landscaping. I will definitely becoming back and highly recommend.

Good for the money. Not in room much. Clean and updated. Posted a pic of bathroom, in all other reviews didn’t see any pics of it!
