Spuddy's Cajun Foods

This is a great little spot just off the beaten path. We stopped in here while visiting the plantations. The food is great. They also make their own homemade sausage. I would recommend this place to anyone. The food is great, the staff are friendly, and the prices are good.

Stumbled onto this place, which I'm sure used to be a house, after visiting a Plantation nearby. I'm not very familiar with Cajun food cos I can't get it where I live. Had to try the Andouille Sausage and Chicken Gumbo which was so good I almost cried! After this I had gumbo (Creole style was all I was able to find) everyday until I returned home. They were all very good but this one was the best in my opinion. Oh yeah, my buddy had the baked pork chop with red beans and rice which he also raved about.

Awesome cooking and eating experience - an absolute must do to learn to cook cajun or just to eat cajun. We had a group of 15 and had sooo much fun! Spuddy is just awesome!!

I just saw this place on YouTube Best Ever Food Review. I been through Lousiana many times. Never did I know about this place. I promise if God allows me.. I will definitely go and eat here. Looks so delicious and the owner seemed so nice and humble. Hope to see you soon amigo!!!!!

So i live about a hour away and saw you on a YouTube video. i thought that my grandmas cooking was good this blew me away my taste buds exploded! Well worth the drive, best Cajun food in the USA! This was a couple months back but who ever is cooking is using magic. Staff is kind and helpful! , I hope after this place ends i can grab some food.

Great service! Great prices! Friendly staff! O, the food is so good too. I had the lunch special, hamburger steak, smashed taters all with brown gravy, corn and coleslaw. Really enjoy this place. Home cooking, makes me feel like home. You gotta try this place.

The boss is a very nice Guy and the food is terrific the gumbo is a must taste !!!!

1000x times better than any cajun/creol/soul food i have ever had and i have lived in Louisiana all 18 years of my life. hands done the most amazing restaurant i have ever been to. Truly felt like home.

Honestly, I've never been here but I just watched the YouTube 'Best Ever...' and I can't wait to swing by next time I'm in the area. Not only does the food look good but the owner and his spirit really captured my attention. I'll update the review once I actually come.

Our family had THE BEST time with Spuddy and Elaine. They have a great place. Very family friendly. Spuddy and Elaine have such a great personality. They are so amable and fun to be around. And the food was OUTSTANDING!

Out of the way if your in New Orleans but if you want authentic cajun food I recommend it. It's some of the best food I've ever had and the staff is so friendly! If is also a great place to eat if you are in Vacherie to see the plantations! They also have home made sausage that is to die for!! The prices are also.amazing!!!

Like some people, I just saw the show on YouTube. The soul and the passion that is took into creating the dishes is outstanding and beautiful to see. I may not have been there but from what I saw and heard the food looks superb

Spuddy's is definitely THE lunch spot in the area. I had a great hot sausage poboy, but next time I have to try the andouille sausage salad! True cajun cuisine. Friendly staff. Good food. Good price.

Casual, unassuming place we found after a tour of Oak Alley. No exaggeration, the best gumbo I've ever had. Period.
