Love Nancy and her office. I have been a patient of hers for 15 years. She is very professional!

Never again. I went to this doctor after leaving a doctor I have had for the past 10 years. I began to lose confidence in my prior doctor. Except for wellness visits, I have been to the doctor 4 times in 10 years for a back problem, arthritis problem, shoulder pain, and recently for a severe allergic reaction to the sun. When I met Dr. Radden, she didn't even introduce herself. She sat down, and being a new patient, I expected at least an introduction and for her to ask me a brief history of what brought me to her. I started my story and she put her hand up, cut me short and said, "I don't need to know all that, what brings you here TODAY?" I was a little shocked she seemed uncaring and rushed. I started to explain that I was having a severe allergic reaction when I go into direct sunlight. I had seen my prior doctor and an dermatologist that ruled out Lupus, auto immune disease and they found nothing wrong. He recommended an allergist. I called an allergist with Harvard Vangard directly and they told me I had to see her first, thus my appointment with her. To make a long story short, she basically told me to stay out of the sun, wear sunblock and wear long sleeved clothing. Really? Duh. I want to know WHY this is happening!! It's been going on for months and I cannot go out for even 3 minutes without frying my skin and itching to death!! I also told her I was going to Flordia in December and was very concerned. Her response: its cold down there that time of year anyways, so it won't matter if you wear long sleeves and a big floppy hat. Are you kidding me?? She also told me not to expect any positive results from the allergist and not to be disappointed if they can't find anything wrong with me, and to be prepared to be let down!!! She compared my issue to heartburn: if I go to her with heartburn, she'll prescribe Prilosec. Problem solved. So she's telling me to stay out of the sun and bundle up, problem solved. Again, uncaring, inconsiderate and I felt like I was not taken seriously at ALL. I insisted on the referral. Not only did she reluctantly give it to me, she got up, said she would input in her computer and walked out of the room and left the door open. After making a comment, "well you obviously have their phone number, so call and make the appointment". No goodbye, no followup, "good luck"....nothing. I NEVER go to the doctor and the last place I felt like spending my afternoon on Halloween was in her office, but I went because this issue is extremely concerning to me. She was dismissive, uncaring, did not take take my condition seriously at all. She kept cutting me short like I was wasting her time. I will never return to Harvard Vangard and am in the market for a new doctor. I have very good insurance and do not need a referral to an allergist, but because that is how Harvard works, I had to see her first. Waste of my time. I was so put off by her ignorant, uncaring attitude, when I went into the waiting room and saw my boyfriend, I burst into tears. I NEVER cry about anything. I would not recommend anyone to this woman. How she has survived this long as a doctor is beyond me.
