LET ME START OFF BY SAYING.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I always feel like places like this has the potential to be pretentious with mediocre service. However, maybe we lucked out with our server, but she was AMAZING! Very attentive, quick, great recommendations, and very friendly! I honestly cannot say the last time I received this kind of service anywhere.

Next, the food... most of our table ordered the main seared tuna and it was DELICIOUS!! It was paired with crispy rice cake and ginger. Great flavors and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend got a pizza and despite it being thinnnn it was still crispy and chewy somehow while maintaining it's form. We also ordered a variety of apps and our favorite was the octopus. Perfectly cooked, not too chewy and paired so well with the hummus!

The drink and wine selection was top notch as well! I got to try a variety of martinis and drinks throughout our dinner and it was well balanced. I almost forgot I was sitting in a restaurant in the middle of Owings Mills!

The ambience was perfect too, not too quiet like most fine dining places and it looked like a lot of regulars were in attendance that night.

I came in for a quick bite after the Ravens game and sat at the bar. Katherine and Royd were in work attendance and were a pleasure to have dinner with.
I ordered the French Onion soup (first time) loved it...
I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who has been under a rock and didn't know it existed..lol
Seriously, this place is top-notch, and I will definitely be back for full course

TLDR: Wonderful dining experience on all fronts. Fine dining service with a easily approachable menu. Come for the pizza and the apps.

Vibe: 5/5. Located in a small business park in Owings Mills, Linwoods is not what you would expect in a sea of chain restaurants in the heart of suburbia. When you walk in, the ambiance is welcoming and elegant, not stuffy in the least bit. White table clothes, oversized plush booths and wood accents adorn the entire restaurant. Linwoods has both small and large tables, as well as a bar so all party sizes are welcome.

Service: 5/5. A true fine dining experience when it comes to the service. Our waitress did a remarkable job at making our dinner service special. Some of our party was running a little late, so our waitress took the present groups drink orders and periodically checked in until the rest of the table arrived. When it came time to order, the waitress did a great job making recommendations and even helped us with ordering the ricotta ravioli appetizer. The appetizer portion only came with 3 raviolis, however we had 4 people dining with us Fortunately she worked with the kitchen to add one more to the portion so everyone could have one. Meal pacing was spot on with all apps were served together as well as mains. We were celebrating a birthday, so the staff was made aware and presented a delicious s'mores cake to the table. Overall, perfect service all around.

Food/Drink: 5/5. Linwoods presents an interesting menu that could be deemed elevated American bistro food. Their menu definitely focuses on sharing and family style dining, with a heavy selection of appetizers and their infamous gourmet pizza. During my visit, my table ordered apps such as the charged octopus, brussel caesar and the ricotta ravioli. All 3 were amazing, with the brussels being some of the best I have ever had due to the seasoning. The octopus was also fantastic, pairing perfectly with the red pepper hummus. For mains, we ordered several of their peppered tuna dish as well as a mushroom margarita pizza. The pizza, which is an odd thing to have on a fine dining restaurant menu, was superlative. Leaning towards the thin crispy side of the pizza spectrum, the texture was spot on and paired nicely with the toppings. The tuna dish was also excellent. The rare ahi pepper tuna worked nicely with the crispy rice cake and sesame soy sauce. One must not forget about the bar program at Linwoods, as every cocktail we ordered was expertly prepared and balanced. A favorite of the night was the Horse with No Name, which is a bourbon based cocktail that uses green tea simple syrup, lemonciello and mint to make a drink that sips like a mint julep meets Arnold Palmer. Make sure to leave room for dessert, as the banana cream raspberry pie is a fun take on the classic as well as the s'mores cake. Overall, if you find yourself looking for a laid back, yet elevated dining experience without having to drive into the city, Linwoods has you covered!

We have regularly dined at Linwoods whenever we are in town, but had not been back since the change in ownership. It is still the best restaurant in the Baltimore area. The four of us loved all of our dishes, particularly the goat cheese ravioli, the soft shell crabs, and the salmon. My salad with soft cooked eggs was extraordinary! Blueberry desserts were amazing. Our waitress, Sister, could not have been more friendly and helpful! Linwoods is still the place to go for awesome food, and a fun time!!

Wow! Went there for dinner last with my husband and I must say probably the best service I have gotten at a restaurant in a really long time. From start to finish, the food was amazing. We got the scallops, grilled octopus, Maryland crab soup, and brussel sprouts Caesar salad for apps. Highly recommend all of them. For dinner, I got the halibut and my husband got the salmon both were fantastic. Overall, this place has great seafood and attentive waiters/waitresses. Our waitress was always checking in even with it being crowded. Overall, we loved this place and will be coming back soon for another date night! If you want to get a nice meal for a date night or with your family, this is the spot to go!

I absolutely love this place. It’s consistently good. It’s kinda tucked away and in a strange area surrounded by office buildings, but it’s definitely worth the visit. Service is always great. They have an open kitchen so you can see everything happening behind the counter. Perfect for casual dining and with it being so close to us, I don’t mind popping in when we don’t know where to go. Never misses!

Came here tonight with my wife. Absolutely fantastic meal. Branzino with olives was like butter that melted in my mouth. Loved the calamari appetizer and my old fashioned sundae. One of the best meals in years I’ve had in the Baltimore area.

Lately, I'm reserving 5 star reviews for places that exceed my expectations. I had pretty high expectations for Linwoods, and they exceeded my high expectations.

First of all, I really like linen table cloths, but I rarely see them in outdoor venues. A fresh linen table cloth is very reassuring, especially during a pandemic.

Our server, Holly, was prompt and attentive without being intrusive. The menu, often a source of infectious particles, was printed on paper and was disposable. I know that for sure because Holly crumpled them up when she collected them after we ordered.

The menu items were a bit pricey, but reasonable for such a nice venue.

I had French onion soup. It was excellent. I enjoy French onion soup, and I have ordered it at lots of restaurants. This French onion soup was among the best I have ever had.

For my entrée, I had a cheeseburger. It was large, juicy, and it was prepared just the way I wanted it. It was delicious.

There was not a separate person to bus our table, but Holly was just as good at removing items that we no longer needed as she was at bringing our next items to the table.

I was quite impressed by our whole dining experience, and I heartily recommend Linwoods.

This is the model of fine dining. Everything, that's everything, is absolutely delicious. Service is excellent. Class act. The new owner is personable, checking on every table for satisfaction. You pay for quality and this restaurant is worth the price. Enjoy.

Pleasant staff and accommodating. Dinning experience was wonderful, and exceeds expectations. The calamari was unique and the Old Fashion was proper, one round cube. I highly recommend for dinner and a superb bartending

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. It was a great experience. The wait staff were extremely attentive and friendly. I had a minor issue with my meal and the general manager, Mordecai, was absolutely amazing in resolving it. We will definitely dine here again!

Excellent evening for me and my hubby. He did the roasted chicken; I had the Tuna, and we had the apple tart. Everything was great. Our waitress was very attentive and bubbly. We went at 8pm and was pleased to be seated in the main dining area, which we always prefer (We went through a period of being seated in an overflow area - not sure if overflow is what it’s called). We will continue to patronize Linwoods. They’ve always delivered food and service exceptionally well.

Our server for the day was really helpful and nice. The food was great and flavorful, and the cocktail was lit and strong (don't recommend it if you're lightheaded). Will return soon

Wish I didn't wait so long to try this place for the first time. Absolutely impeccable food, atmosphere, and service. We sat at one of the "counter" seats which overlook the kitchen; so absolutely fascinating to watch how amazing each dish looks and how the whole process runs so smoothly. Definitely save room for dessert too because the dessert selection is incredible. A total 10/10 for me and this will most certainly become our new go to spot for celebratory dinners.

Linwoods was a magnificent experience. The waiter was awesome. The food came timely and it was delicious. The drinks (martinis) were awesome. The Margherita pizza was scrumptious. Korean tacos were chefs kiss. Salmon and sea bass were perfection.

I am a fan of Linwoods, so I will be back. My family made reservations to celebrate my birthday. Stacy, the Hostess, was very sweet. She even had my birthday cake cut and served. It took quite a while for our food to come out because we had a large group. That was the one complaint from my party. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed as always. The place was packed too for a Thursday night..

I love this place! I’ve had the pleasure of eating here twice now; once for my mother’s birthday and the second time to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my wife. Each time I’ve had attentive, welcoming, and gracious staff with food and drinks that were delightful. Highly recommended this restaurant and I’ll be going again to celebrate any future events in my family’s life.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff. The food was exceptional. I had the grilled Octopus as a starter which was amazing and takes 3 days to prepare. The chef/owner walked around greeting each customer and was warm and welcoming. My sister had the Bronzini: Toasted Orzo, Asparagus, Red Peppers, Olives, Mushrooms, Cherry Tomatoes, Feta, Basil Chimichurri. I had the Beef tenderloin: Potato Gratin, Summer Vegetables, Steak Sauce. Both meals were excellent and the different ingredients used were fresh and pleasing to the palate. For dessert we had the lemon coconut cake. It was moist and full of flavors. Everything was amazing.
