Rohmer's Restaurant

Excellent snitzel and sausage. My wife had hamburger steak. Fried potatoes and onions were fantastic. Cabbage was awesome!!!!
Update. Had the same thing again 2 years later, better than last time, and that's saying something. My wife had the chicken noodle soup. That's the way it should be mad!!!!

It's such a lovely restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and funny, I forgot her name (sorry). We started with an appetizer of the stuffed jalapeños. They were smooth tasting but not too hot of an appetizer. The Schnitzel and Sausage plate was excellent, but I was particularly fond of the smoked sausage it had a simple yet deep flavor. The red cabbage and the potato salad were very good as well. Coconut cream pie, how can you go wrong? It was yummy! Not a huge fan of German food, no problem, there are plenty of other options. 5 stars only because I can not add more!

We had been traveling on motorcycles and needed some well deserved dinner. A couple of fellow bikers recommended this place for a good meal, and they were right!
Great service by the ladies hearty portions. We hit the road full and happy that the boys sent us here.

Fun little place in Muenster TX.
More of a cafe with a "German" section on the menu. But it was pretty good German food! Salad bar was a nice touch! Service was great as well! Will definitely be back!

Loved this German restaurant. Amazing food. Very large portions and friendly service. It is a must go when visiting Muenster Tx.

Small town standalone German, American restaurant with ample parking. Restaurant and bathrooms are clean. Staff is great. Food is top notch especially the pork summer sausage. The only thing that needs improvement is the booths. They have little to no padding and their design makes them very uncomfortable. Recommend

Food was delicious, waitress was friendly, prices in line with sit-down burger joint. Also offered some burgers and a little bit of mexican food in case you want to go with someone who doesn't like German food. They had a salad bar as well and some tasty-looking pies on a counter but we were full. They offered German mustard too, which was great. Good place to stop for lunch if you're going down 82.

We both had the jager schnitzel (pork cutlet with mushroom gravy). The bread crumb crust on the cutlet was crisp (not soggy as many we have had are) and hot. It obviously got to our table very soon after coming off the griddle. The mushroom gravy had just the right texture (not too thin, not too thick, sticking nicely to the bread crumb crust on the schnitzel), had lots of mushrooms, and was not salty (excessive saltiness being a feature we have sometimes encountered in other Texas German restaurants). The German potato salad was closer to lightly mashed potato consistency than most German potato salads I have had, but had solid body texture and good taste.

Passing through, I saw the restaurant sign that said, German cooking, so I parked and went in. Everyone there was very warm and welcoming, like I've been there before and they knew me. My server was very sweet and it solidified the family atmosphere. I ordered the chicken schnitzel with German potatoes, and a German sausage link. My plate came promptly but very fresh. Everything was great! The potatoes were delicious, the schnitzel had a perfectly crisp exterior and chicken was tender inside. The sausage was absolutely incredible with the German mustard. Wonderful place! The desserts looks pretty tempting but sadly, I had to go. "Liebe geht durch den Magen," which means love goes through the stomach and you felt it here.

The waitresses did an amazing job and were very friendly!!! The German food was excellent and at a reasonable price!!! Highly recommend if in the area you need to try Rohmers Restaurant.

This was a great lunch place. We had some great German food. You should try to save room for dessert.

Great little German Restaurant downtown Muenster, TX. They have a nice little salad bar with all the German fixings. I had the JAGER SCHNITZEL which is a sautéed pork cutlet breaded with bread crumbs and topped with mushroom gravy. You could cut the tenderized pork without a knife. My husband had the WIENER SCHNITZEL which is a sautéed pork cutlet breaded with bread crumbs, it’s exactly like the JAGER SCHNITZEL but without the mushroom gravy. We each had a side of German potato salad and it comes with either a side of Sauerkraut or pickled red cabbage. We both chose Sauerkraut which complimented our pork cutlets quite well. Not only is it the best German food this side of Texas, their rolls are amazing and they have a dessert bar in which all desserts are homemade daily! I chose the cherry cream pie and my husband chose his favorite, coconut cream pie. Even the crusts were homemade! Both were delicious. Our waitress Nancy was a joy to talk with while we dined. We will definitely make another stop in to dine here!!

Had a cheeseburger and fries. Very good. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Cant wait to go back and try something else. The German menu items looked good.

Great food and service. Seems to be authentic German cooking. Parking seems to be somewhat limited.

Love Rohmer's! From big simple breakfast favorites to salads this place is small town comfort at its best. The patty melt on rye is the best deal in cooke county for a quick bite.... like $4.50! Also, who doesn't love sweet pickled beets. I know this guy does.

Cute little place with a salad bar and a soup of the day. The locals seem to love it. German food, country classics, and a kids menu. Pie too.

Rohmer’s was part of an impromptu birthday weekend for my husband. He has a fondness for German food and I thought Muenster and Rohmer’s would be worth the trip. I had the grilled Rueben which was a great combo of flavors. I thought about getting no sauerkraut because I am not a huge fan, but this sauerkraut was really good. Glad that I left the sandwich alone. Very happy with my selection. My husband had the sausage and schnitzel plate, with Jager schnitzel and a bratwurst. He said that it was very tasty and I was sure that he wouldn’t finish it all, but he did (red cabbage and all). The staff was so friendly and attentive and we greatly appreciated that. It really set the tone for a great rest of the day in that area. Thanks Rohmer’s!

The food was absolutely worth it! I got the Rueben Sandwich with potato salad.
