Mammy's Cupboard

As a child I remember seeing Mammy’s Cupboard on Highway 61 and was fascinated by the huge woman design. Unfortunately we were always in a hurry and did not get to stop. To me this is a great piece of Americana from a period when people did not take everything so seriously. We were thrilled to find them open on a recent trip. The food is great and they offer half-portions of their huge sandwiches on request. The staff is super friendly and made our visit memorable.

What an interesting place to eat. Historic and family run, this restaurant will be sure to be a topic of conversation. Good food and Amazing homemade pies and cakes too.

Been coming here for decades love the Banana pie. Friendly service and such an iconic place. A true part of the regions culinary history.

Mammys is a classic stop while in Mississippi. The owners were super friendly along with the waiters. Even the food was to die for, I recommend the grilled cheese and as you may know, their signature is their blueberry lemonade. It is as good as advertised, with free refills!!! Absolutely recommend this stop to anybody with an appetite for a good time and delicious food!

Amazing the banana caramel pie is to die for. The salad had relish on it that made the salad pop!! Definitely will stop again if in town. Very friendly people too.

I had food there yesterday. It was all pretty filling as well as delicious. I had the grilled cheese with ham. It was pretty good I also had the house salad. For my dessert I had a slice of the peanut butter pie.

Mammys is another must while in Natchez MS. The outside of the building in need of repair but it's still an amazing place to visit. The owner and his family are so sweet. The sandwiches come with a small bowl of soup and potato salad. Homemade bread and the most amazing pies and cakes. I love the atmosphere.

I cannot rate this high enough! It deserves 10 stars! The staff are friendly, everything is clean, the kitchen being open make me feel like I'm at family's, the meal was delicious, and the pies were the best I ever had!

Mammy's is much bigger on the inside than it looks. Our waitress, Tori is the best! You cannot go wrong with the roast beef or Reuben sandwich. The meal is served with a serving of potato salad and vegetable soup. Don't miss out on dessert! The chocolate meringue pie was very good. Others in our group raved about the broccoli cornbread and red beans and rice. Prices are reasonable.

I've seen this place for years and always wanted to stop! Was very pleased when we were able to. The food was AMAZING. The waiter and environment were so welcoming and pleasant. Will definitely try to visit again soon!

The family there is so nice and sweet, one of my favorite restaurants and I have to drive 2 hours just for the food and it is worth every bite.
I always get the soup and chocolate meringue pie.
As a picky eater I was hesitant at first to try, but after eating their food I just couldnt stop eating.
Every time I go I always leave with great memories.

We had the Mammy's Chicken salad sandwich on sour dough bread. It came with a bowl of soup and potato salad. The chicken salad was so good and the portion was unbelievably huge. Highly recommend visiting for lunch.

Based on a recommendation from a kind staff member at nearby Stanton Hall, we stopped by Mammy's Cupboard while passing through Natchez. Being particularly partial to pie, it didn't take much to convince me to stop. Once there, the bright and cheery owner ushered us in and immediately made us feel welcome.

From start to finish, our experience was both fun and funny. The owner chatted with us almost every time he walked by our table, whether to joke with us, show us what a certain menu item was as he carried it to another table, to talk about the area, our travels, etc.

We settled on the roast beef sandwich and the reuben. As we began enjoying each, quite extensively, we were further surprised to learn that all the sandwich breads were made fresh in-house. The quality and taste of the sandwiches was excellent! Better yet, each came with a small bowl of vegetable soup and potato salad. The soup was very flavorful and hearty!

To top it off, we had to go for some of that "mile high pie," so we ordered a slice of coconut cream and chocolate cream. Wow! Talk about mile high! The meringue was in defiance of the laws of physics! Needless to say, both pies were delectable. We were ashamed to leave a little behind, as we were stuffed to the rafters.

Overall, not only was the food excellent, but the owner's attitude and friendliness made for such a wonderful experience. It was a delight to see him sweep through the room engaging and charming everyone with ease.

Incredible hospitality from the family that runs the restaurant! We felt like family. They were so welcoming. The food was delicious. The turkey sandwich has the best sourdough bread and blueberry compote. Loved the chicken salad too. The potato salad was excellent. Choosing dessert was too hard so we got two.

Great atmosphere. Wonderful food. I had the chicken pot pie, broccoli cornbread, and. 7 layer salad. The blueberry lemonade is awesome.
