Martin County Animal Control

My mother’s dogs got loose yesterday and Martin County Animal Control picked up the dogs, called to verify the owner, and delivered the dogs to her house. They were wonderfully helpful.

I want to say thank you to the amazing women that help me find that cat. without you she wouldnt have been able to survive <3

No way to contact via phone.. twice I followed prompts thru do it your self ( automated system) to obtain animal control department, then the phone disconnects! No way to speak with anyone! NO HELP

Why would they release a pet back to the pet sitter without asking the owner of the dog first?

I went out of town for a funeral. I left my dog at a Rover pet sitter who lost my dog. I called the appropriate numbers and found out that she would be dropped off at the humane society of treasure coast. I then scrambled to find someone who can pick up my dog. Once everything gets straightened out, I then find out that the animal control officer released my dog without my permission back to the sitter who lost her in the first place. They said they were "doing me a favor". I don't care if we had to pay to get her released from HSTC. I obviously care enough about my dog to book her at a sitter, I can pay a pick up fee.

What happens if she gets out again? What if he beats her for escaping in the first place? Who is liable now?
