My husband I were very impressed with the Pony Express team. All emails were answered promptly and all arrangements went smoothly. Also, there were no hidden surprises with the cost of the move.

Rawn, Rob and Zach did an excellent job from start to finish. They moved all our possessions with care, and were extremely organized in they loading and unloading of the truck.

The team not only did a great job, but it also was a pleasure to work with them. They were friendly and fun to be around.

We highly recommend Pony Express and would definitely use them again.

My family moved from NH to GA recently. Like I'm sure most of you, I have read some horror stories about moving companies. Needless to say, I was extremely reluctant to search online. I actually found Pony Express on Home Advisor, so I thought it was the safest choice...it absolutely was the best decision. Josh, is so great t for whom to work, with prompt and effective communication. He had my move planned and set before our house even sold, so when it did sell, we were ready to go. His movers showed up on time and ready to work. They packed the truck carefully and efficiently, wrapping our furniture with protective blankets and plastic. All three guys were very friendly and respectful. Josh called to verify the truck was loaded appropriately and we were satisfied.

Once in GA, our truck was delivered on time. Our closing was an utter nightmare for about 4 hours. The three guys hired for the delivery were amazing. They waited patiently for us to arrive for two hours in the hot sun. I could not believe that they didn't give up and leave, I certainly would not have blamed them. Even with the long delay, they willingly worked late into the day to get us in the house. All three guys were so nice and sympathetic. Our belongings arrived safely and without one broken piece of furniture or boxed item. Josh called later that evening when he hadn't heard from his guys, to ensure that all was well and our move was successful.I relayed the disaster of the day and raved about his employees.

To anyone who is in need of an out-of-state or local move, I assure you that Pony Express will take care of you. They are reasonably priced and extremely well versed in the moving process. You will not regret using them...I sure don't!

Lou, Craig, and Bobby were the absolute best! Not only were they so accurate in their estimate and efficient in their work that we finished right as anticipated, but they took exacting care in providing additional boxes and wrap to protect large fragile items. These guys were so empathetic and thoughtful. We moving into an in-process renovation and they rolled with the flow and even let us keep all our furniture wrapped in travel blankets to protect from damage during our renovation. We no doubt will rehire Pony Express and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of moving in Boston. They made the day a breeze and afforded us plenty of time to get other move related work done that day to make the most of our time away from work.

Fabulous moving company! I cannot say enough good things about our move from Somerville to Burlington VT. The three person crew were hard working and very professional. They shrink wrapped everything, work fast, and even advised us about where to put things.

Chris in particular was amazing. He was so personal and is the reason I chose Pony Express since I saw his shirt a month ago moving another person in our condo building. He remembered me and immediately made that connection. There was an accident dropping a piece of furniture and they are finding someone to repair this.

We moved another time a year ago, and Pony Express is so much better than this other company. I would always recommend Pony Express to others.

As I was comparing movers for my move from Boston to Chicago, Pony Express's quote was slightly higher, but Josh was able to provide more specific pick-up and drop-off windows right away, which is so valuable. I'd rather pay a little extra to have my stuff than pay extra to stay in a hotel waiting for my bed! He was extremely in touch in the days leading up to the move and was very accommodating with my building's freight elevator schedule restrictions. Eric and his crew did the pickup super quickly, and Eric's drop-off was great. He had me check the truck to make sure I had all my things, and he worked with the construction crew next door when their truck was in the spot he needed. I would strongly recommend Pony Express

The moving service provided by Pony Express was fantastic. Both movers were very capable and nice people. They certainly knew what they were doing and went above and beyond to secure and protect our large and fragile pieces of furniture. I enjoyed working alongside them very much. The only thing I would critique is the paid commuting time to and from JP/Beacon Hill (45 minutes each way / 1.5 hours total) as well as the time between moving locations (25 minutes for <1 mile) was a bit excessive - although I didn't push back on this at the time of payment because they did such a great job. I would highly recommend Pony Express to my friends and family, especially with the $120 for $240 Amazon Local deal.

Pony Express moved us locally from Brookline to Jamaica Plain. The representative provided a clear quote, the price was comparable to other services, a bit cheaper actually. But most importantly every person we dealt with was friendly and understanding of our needs and sensitive to the stress of moving. We hired them for a few hours of packing service and the gentlemen who came were courteous and professional and handled our belongings with care. They seemed to really enjoy their work. We visited the facility to pick up boxes in advance, and even that was a pleasurable experience. I've moved with less expensive movers, but this was well worth the money and I would use them again and recommend the company to my friends and colleagues. .

My move with Pony Express was from a storage unit in Waltham to and apartment in Somerville. The whole process was easy. The movers were experienced and loaded everything quick, even bringing some large bins to organize small items. The guys were friendly,courteous, and on time. I would recommend Pony Express for any moves. The reservation process was easy and the office followed up with a confirmation when I placed the reservation and the day before the move.

Moved to Boston this past week and was referred to Pony Express for moving assistance. They were all first class -- Josh responded within minutes to an email and had confirmed a time/date by end of the day. Eric & Chris were here to help a few minutes ahead of schedule, were very personable, and did a great job!

10/10 would get them again.

Pony Express are a great local moving company--I moved to Western MA from the Boston area and I was very happy with their professionalism, careful handling and speed of their work. They were flexible when i had to change a moving date and responsive to emails, answering questions and confirming details in a timely manner.

I had to do a last minute move last month and these guys were great! They were able to get me an appointment window the next day, arrived on time with plenty of warning, and got my move done faster (and for less money) than expected! I will recommend and use them again in a heartbeat.

The only thing to watch out for is that I initially called and left a voicemail because they were closed and never received a call back. Once I called back during business hours it only took 10 minutes to set everything up and the actual move was such a breeze so I’ll still give them five stars. I guess just a word of advice to consumers to make sure you get someone on the phone because voicemails can sometimes get lost.

As a customer service/sales professional I can tell you that everyone's experience will always vary, as you can tell by previous reviews there are people who had really sh*tty experiences and people who had great experiences. I was one who had a great experience with Pony Express Movers even after throwing them a huge curveball (explained later).

I was making a small move about fifteen minutes away from where I was living in Jamaica Plain to the South End. I personally do not own too much furniture-wise but have a lot of other ancillary stuff. In essence I was moving a bunch of boxes and a small bedroom set consisting of a mattress, simple bed frame, and a dresser from IKEA. Due to complications with the property management company my move was delayed from the middle of the month to the end of the month and I needed movers in a pinch. I was able to make contact with the owner Josh who was able to accommodate my move within a few days notice and with my work schedule. The whole time Josh advised me of the pricing and also that there was a 2 hour minimum charge for using their services, which is reasonable in my eyes.

I was slated to have the guys start at noon, but Ramon called me an hour before they were scheduled to show up to let me know that their previous job was running a little bit over and they were going to be a little late - which was fine with me because I left late from work and wasn't going to meet them in time. When they showed up they came upstairs and checked everything out and had everything loaded probably within 30 minutes from a second floor house in Jamaica Plain.

They met me at my new place in the South End which unfortunately is on the sixth floor without an elevator. I felt bad for Ramon and Billy because there was no elevator and rather than watch them move everything up since some of the boxes were heavy Billy and Ramon helped organize the three of us into an assembly line style of getting everything loaded. Yes, I assisted people I hired to move because I wasn't brought up to be THAT insensitive. After everything was brought into the unit is when I hit them with a curveball - the previous tenants had left a bunch of furniture in the unit which myself and roommates didn't want to take down ourselves since they were heavy and awkward pieces. I asked Billy and Ramon if they minded taking care of it and without even blinking or hesitating they said no problem. All together the job took about an hour and a half and both Ramon and Billy were helpful and extremely efficient. Can't ask for better service than what was received!

Very satisfied! Josh and his movers Brennen and Zack were top-notch and really helped us out on short notice. We moved our office a few streets down Boylston St in Boston and the guys were on-time, professional and took great care in moving our stuff. Highly recommend to anyone looking for movers!

I was fortunate enough to find Pony Express through Amazon Local. I had asked for bids from a few companies. I was impressed with the emails and up front charge estimate from Josh. He is professional and deliberate. I was purchasing through email for my daughter's move from Cambridge to Lawrence. They were on time, on budget and completely professional. I will use them again. Please use this recommendation.

Oh my goodness they were the best movers Abel, Mike and Danny. They didn't waste no time and where very efficient. I have never seen guys work so fast and not try to milk the clock. I had the best experience ever. I will use them again and I referred them to many people but to ask for those guys.

Moving isn't perfect, and neither am I. Thank goodness for Pony Express Movers. This was the second time PEM moved me, both times under four miles. I have all the pain-in-the-butt qualities of a customer with ADHD - and the movers were [both times] super helpful, super professional, and super kind. And super patient. And had great senses of humor.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be organized before, during, and after your move, if possible. You should. It helps everyone. If you can't be, you should [note to self] probably just hire PEM to help you pack next time.

And if things don't go as planned, take a deep breath, do your best, buy a round of cold electrolyte drinks for your movers, and tip kindly as you're able.

Sadly I have moved a few times in my lifetime and I can say I only wish that every moving company was as good as Pony Express. They were by far the most professional and courteous mover I have every had.

Hopefully I do not have to move again, but if I did I would call them.

Easy to work with, responsive to my emails, on time the day of my move, careful with my belongings, and more efficient than I imagined, I loved working with Pony Express. I'd recommend them to anyone!

They were very responsible, fast, and kind people to work with. Easy to schedule and very reasonable rates. One ding in a doorframe from a couch, but otherwise amazing moving and they reimbursed me for it within two weeks!
