This is an authentic and down to earth church family. Kingdom centered! Not denominational or brand focused. Jesus is King and there’s a humility to be sensitive to the Spirit and follow his lead. When we gather for worship together on Sundays, his presence and peace is evident. Thankful.

First Southern has been our home church for 6 years. Even when we were stationed in Alaska, we considered First Southern our home. Now we’re back and it’s like we never left. Everyone we’ve interacted with has been loving and kind. Most importantly, we will hear the gospel each and every time we walk through the doors - and my children do too! We are so thankful for First Southern.

This church congregation and staff is super welcoming and helpful when you are looking for places to plug in! Love their Young Adult group too!!

Amazing place! I have been pushed to grow in Christ and encouraged in my faith. I love this church and I feel I have found home.

4000 person capacity. Unlike the Church Of Christ they have a band.

I joined this church about five years ago, and I love it. From the beginning, I felt welcomed. I moved from the college group to the young marrieds recently, and I love doing things with them. Get involved! Examples: I adopted a sweet cat from a friend, They threw me a bridal shower and I got more gifts than I ever needed or deserved, we went to watch fireworks together, baseball games together, we have an annual church picnic, I went to watch a play that a friend was in (beauty and the beast) and it was amazing! Countless more memories we have made and will make. That’s how you find meaning at church. Community. Yes, there are some difficulties, but that’s just life. At church, you learn to forgive EVERYONE so you can live a more peaceful and fulfilling life according to the example set by Jesus Christ. It’s a commitment anywhere you go. But if you’re not part of a church family, you’re missing out.

People are very friendly here but what I love most about this Church, is the Youth Group Recreation for young adults. They go to the movies, gatherings, concerts, and much more activities. My son didn’t have any friends in OKC because we were new to Oklahoma. I prayed and prayed that the Lord would find my son some friends. There are many young adults that my (28 yr old) son can call his friends. Thank you Jesus!

Wonderful church everybody was very friendly and very open and receptive. Good praise music the pastor is amazing I love his style of teaching from the Bible easy to follow . He even made me laugh

I love this church! The people are so down to earth and welcoming. Keith Burkhart is a gifted pastor and the worship music is second to none.

Outstanding. I was one who always found something wrong with a church. But being at First Southern for nearly ten years, it has its moments. But I will tell you, they are genuine Christian people there. They serve God in such an amazing manner and are not judgemental. If you are searching for the perfect church, you won't find it at First Southern. But, if you are searching for a great church with genuine people, this is the place.

Since the other reviews were written a new Pastor - Shane Hall has taken over as the senior Pastor. I have to admit that he is probably the best pastor/preacher that I have been associated with since I started with this church family. His sermons are direct and to the point always reaching toward a personal relationship with Jesus. This church has moved from being a good church to being a great church ready to reach the world for Jesus the Messiah.

This church is very welcoming and loves people! You will feel the love of Jesus just by walking through the doors.

A group of young volunteers came to my home in Pueblo Colorado today.. They worked really hard for several hours doing yard work ect
They said they was from Del city Ok..
Members included pastor's Mark, pastor' Nate.. Volunteers Brian, Samuel, Cole... God bless you all! Atleast 10 of you who piched in and made my life easier

Great community and fellowship! They preach the Word.

It's a large town church with a small town atmosphere. Feels like my hometown in Burns Flat. Casual dress is the standard.

A people who will love and accept you as you are. Who will walk beside you on your journey, and support you as you grow your relationship with God

The preaching is biblical without legalism. The new pastor has a great heart for the community and for the church. I definitely recommend it.

I would have to write pages to begin to describe the legacy of faith here. This is one church that is built on the Bible and is a magnifier of the glory and love of my Lord Jesus Christ.

Went for Halloween and my kids had fun! So sad they took out the games though. They should've had a room set aside for games.
