Nice place to learn a little history. I stopped by on my travels and it was great. Lots of stairs to get to the top, but the views of the lake are worth it

We recently visited Tucker Tower at Oklohoma .We drove from Houston. It was wonderful. The Scenic drive,Picturesque trails ,and the enchanting winter beauty made it a memorable visit.Despite being in December the charm of Tuker tower didn’t disappoint. The fact that the tower itself is free to visit adds to its allure, although there is a parking fee.Overall a must visit destination in Oklahoma for nature enthusiasts.

Free entrance with free museum and other interesting things! Absolutely gorgeous nature point and the tower like from fairytale! Thank you so much to Ardmore administration for keeping this area free for visiting, and in such a great condition 🥰

Came here Saturday morning around 10:30. Enjoyed it so much. We came down from texas for our friends birthday and he enjoyed it as well. Luckily the day we chose to come was not as hot so that was a plus. There were so many spots to hang out at. Less than 10 mins away are some campgrounds. They have restrooms at the museum before making your way to the tower.

Such a good story, love the information and museum here, Lake Murray is a must see for anyone passing through.

Tucker Tower has alot of information about the park and feeds the curiosity of both the young and old with facts and exhibits directly related to the area. Kids can ask for a booklet to become Junior Park Nationalist and get their badge for going in depth into the exhibits of what makes this place so great.

For the real dirt on Governor Murray and the story of this lake/tower, ask the local guide on the boat tour from the Lake Murray Water Sports and Mini Golf located near The Lodge. 👌

Have always loved this place!!
It was built during the depression when men needed jobs to survive.
It has awesome views of the lake & marina

As a kid my family always spent most of the summers on this lake.
It was the best of times coming here during those summer holidays.
Lots of great memories with many of my cousins.
We'd explore anything & everything.
So very nostalgic for me.
Some things have changed but for the good.

Back then we didn't think about safety hazards or stuff like that.
Lord It's a miracle we didn't get hurt or bitten by something.. lol 😏

I did get poison ivy a few times so if walking outside of the tower know your foliage & don't lean on the trees with vines. 🤪

I love Tucker Tower! This was my second trip because I wanted to share it with my grandchildren. There's a lovely nature center on the same location, so you get to enjoy the center before walking up to the tower. It is steeped in history - so interesting! My grandchildren are 8 and 6, and they had a blast. We were camping at Lake Murray, and they asked to go back to the tower again. Such a fun adventure! :)

Y'all this is a hidden Gem in Ardmore! There is a small museum with local science and artifacts. Gives a really good history lesson. They also have a hands on crafts/science area. There wasn't any classes going on right now. Plenty of benches to sit down. Public bathroom. Although the woman's room was flooded. It was clean. From there you take a short hiking trail up to the tower. Inside more history about CCC corps and how Lake Murray was built. The views on each level are spectacular! Be careful going up the spiral staircase. It's sturdy but steep! Definitely will visit again! If you are a history and science buff you will love it! We had spring like weather for February 1st. Perfect day for being out!

Such a good place to visit. We went on friday and it was so calm and nice to visit. Lot to learn about history. We just went on a day trip but camping would be far better. Marina beach is also great. Water sports to enjoy there. Best thing is blue water and nature.

Wow, incredible views, the tower is packed with information, and it's a nice little walk through the museum up to the tower. Very clean restrooms and well maintained park.

A good place for either a small adventure as a couple or with family. I'd advise to go during less hot days. You do have to pay $10 to park which I understand the price to keep up with maintenance of the historical place. Fun activities inside the small learning center for all ages. Lovely view of the whole lake on top of the tower giving you a 360 chance to see in every side.

Very beautiful sight seeing spot. When you go up the hill you will step on the balcony area which goes around the tower. Enter the building to see artifacts and then climb more stairs towards the spiral staircase to go to the very top to get the best view. Warning: this part can be scary for people who are scared of heights. Overall a good experience. Only thing is it is not handicap accessible. After you come down, do visit the visitor center. They have some snakes and lizards on display and crafts for kids.

Cool place to stop by if you're going to TX or OK from either one. Great view! A tiny walk to the tower that isn't that bad at all.

Nice little museum as well and they would like a donation to help keep the place running!

I stopped in while travelling through the area and was pleasantly surprised! There was a park ranger/leo on duty and the visit was "by donation". I was lucky to be there alone so I got some great pictures. This would be a fun place to bring your kids (if adequately supervised). The rest room was clean and the exhibits were interesting! I surprised a vulture when I stepped out into the top landing of the tower (he probably surprised me more). This is definitely a must see at Lake Murray.

I had a lot of fun doing the scavenger hunt looking for all the old buildings and they even give out a patch after it's completed. It's a great inexpensive way to get the whole family out of the house and doing something together

Made it here just as they were closing so I didn't get to explore very much or read thru all the info. It looked really neat and had a great view. Staff was super nice

Excellent views. Lots and lots of steps, so if you have health issues I would not attempt. Whole park built by CCC & WAP. Simply amazing that it was all completed by hand! The whole park is beautiful.

I liked it. Went alone. Lots of stairs to climb if you want to get to the top. It’s also a tight squeeze if there’s a bunch of other people up there.
