The food was great. The service for lunch was awesome. The service for breakfast not so good the next morning. I had to get my own everything. The girl stayed in the kitchen, hollering back and forth with someone or on her phone in the corner.

We stop in to have the buffet fairly often. There is a hike from the dock straight up hill.. but if you can manage that, the food is always southern.
The sweet tea delicious.
The buffet items change from time to time.
I general stick to the softer foods here, the fried chicken is average, but the turkey legs and the meat loaf and the Salisbury steak, yummy

I would recommend eating here if you are out with your family, looking for a little relief from the heat and some good comfort food.

Great food! Great people decent prices. Getting there is a gorgeous ride. We stayed at the lodge so we ate there several times. I highly recommend it!

This place is more like an actual resort than a state park. The beds are super comfortable, the rooms and cabins are extremely clean and there are lots of things to do if you enjoy the outdoors. If you don't like the outdoors there are satellite TVs in every bedroom and common area! Restaurant has good food and everyone from the park rangers to the front desk person were so nice and helpful. Definitely coming back!

Every time we make it to McCormick we make it a tradition to eat there, the Friday night seafood is real good too! If you are looking for a restaurant in McCormick, you have to try this one out! Its far better than a grimy beer/pizza joint that some folks rave about in McCormick

This is a fantastic place to stay, eat, and play! It is very reasonable ... even the gift shop. We love staying in the lodge rooms down near the dock. You can launch and dock your boat with no fee. Peak season rates are 75.00 per night and off season specials can be as low as 45.00 per night. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is exceptionally friendly. The restaurant has happy hours from 5 to 7pm. Half price appetizers. A big breakfast is 6.00. Yes. You read that right. The salad bar is always well stocked and very fresh. We love this place! We fish all day, rest well, and eat on the cheap! It is low keyed with an authentic sportsman feel. It is not plush. Easy online reservations. Perfect place for us to get away! Oh... and this lake.... it is FULL of fish!!!!

For a State Park, this is a very very good restaurant to eat at. Daily buffets along with a menu. Prices are reasonable considering the quantity and quality of the food. We had the club sandwich and it was stacked high and very good. Be sure to check out the half price appetizers during the afternoon during happy hour they are good also. Very good place to eat at if you are in the area. Scenery is great, golf course on site, boat ramp, some places to walk. And no entry fee to get inside of the park.

The food was delicious. We got the family fried chicken, mac n cheese, and fries. So good! Some of the best fries ever! Unlike any fries I've ever seen before. We also got breakfast. We had the country ham, egg and cheese biscuits and fried potatoes. Homemade biscuits! Homestyle potatoes with onions and peppers. Very good! I'll definitely eat there again.

My family and I came to dine on 01/19/2020 and unfortunately we sat there for quite some time never seeing a waiter or waitress anywhere. We finally seen someone of kitchen staff named Will. I approached him and asked where all the staff was bc we did not see anyone but him. He then stopped what he was doing to take care of us . He made our bad experience turn into a pleasant one. He made sure we were taken care of and Cooked our food and it was the best we have had in a very long time. Thanks Will Sublett because of you we will definatly return.

I rated this 5 stars so it would be posted
BUT......... from our visit today it was horrible!!!! My husband and I along with our 2 children decided after church to hop on the Harley's and ride down to eat. Well the place was packed out with a party of like 80 people and there was no food to eat. And the food they were cooking and bringing out this party kept going for 2nds and 3rds and even TO GO boxes. We said something to the manager and she acted like it was no biggy.... SO after the 1hr and a half trip....we got no food , pushed away from the food by the party that was there and a manager who didn't care. We got a refund and left!!!

Located in SC about midway between Linconton, GA and McCormick, SC turn SC Hway 7 and follow it until you go left on Resort Drive for 1-3 miles. There you will a very nice clubhouse and restaurant, a motel, camping facilities, cabins and boating on Strom Thurmond Lake. Kayaks are also available. A beautiful setting with something for almost everyone: bike & walking trails, skeet shooting, tennis courts, volleyball, horse shoes, archery, meeting rooms and more. As an SC State Resort Park, it is open to everyone.

Good food, reasonable prices, and good service though not especially fast. We've been twice and enjoyed it very much.
