This was our first visit, but definitely not the last. We absolutely loved our campsite with access to the lake. Some of the site are difficult to access for bigger rigs.... luckily we didn't have an issue.
Bathhouse was clean, and things were surprisingly quiet for new years eve.
We treated ourselves to the New Year's buffet at the park restaurant & it was good. Overall great experience!

Beautiful views! We hooked up our RV to 30A source and we’re able to start the AC compressor. Sites are somewhat level. We stayed on the main road and not the waters edge sites because the size and level of the sites were more for our needs. Clean facilities. Access to the lake with canoe at the turn around. Would definitely come back. Golfing was inexpensive and lots of other activities available. Would be a great place for family reunion or group get together.

Stayed for the weekend at the blue lodges on the property. It looked like the rooms were recently renovated to a more modern feel. It was very comfortable. The room had a bit of a chemical smell which I was led to believe was from the cleaning products. We helped reduce this by lighting a candle. The Internet is rather slow here and it looks like that's how the TV service is provided. We ran into some technical troubles with the TV but that wasn't a big concern given that we weren't there to stay and watch TV. Beautiful park and friendly staff. Plenty of amenities. Pool, playground, Cornhole, community grill, putting green, and more.

My wife and I also explored the Lakeview loop on our bikes. There were 4 trees down. Needs some maintenance.

You're welcome future hikers.. I cleared all the spider webs with my face and body. 🤣😦

We recently moved into SLV McCormick SC. As a Google guide I try to visit all establishments nearby and give an honest assessment of the business. After touring Baker Park just 4 miles away my expectations were low. Our friends are living in a camper while their house is being built. This place is a class act. Even better than Elijah State Park just over the bridge. There are activities going on almost everyday but what really stopped us in our tracks was the cleanliness of the facilities and the professionalism of the Staff. A+++

Secluded, peaceful.
Talk about quiet 🤫.
This place is away from the noise and rush of a big city.
Our first time visiting, GPS took us to a big BARN, keep driving past the golf course, then we found the main check in. Our room overlooking the lake was older, but nice. Clean. TV, microwave and small refrigerator.
10:00 am check out time seems a bit early
Other than that, a very nice weekend getaway.
Breakfast at the lodge was decent. Price was good.

My 22-year-old son and myself went to hickory knob State Park for a couple of days just to see the sites because I'm doing the ultimate outsider adventure. So we went there so that I could get my stamp. Our accommodations or so nice! We stayed in the lodge and the view was beautiful there was a small forest area and then a lake that we overlooked from our balcony. The beds were comfortable the room that we had also had a kitchen area and a little living room area. We loved it! The people were super nice. We walked on two out of three of the trails and enjoyed that experience. My only complaint is that everything else was closed. The restaurant was closed. The snack bar in the golf shop was closed. They said it was opened but when we went there the lady told me that all she had to serve me was too hot dogs and a grilled cheese sandwich if I wanted that. Also we asked if we could rent a golf cart just to ride around the green on the designated trails and we were told no. If you are not golfing you cannot rent a golf cart that was very unfortunate as the golf course was beautiful and we would have liked to have ridden around it. My son would have liked to have done the archery but you have to give them 24 hours notice so that they can have someone available to go out on the field with you and when you're only there for two days it's hard to give 24 hours notice so that was disappointing. All in all even with the disappointments I would go back to hickory knob maybe not in the fall and the winner because it is closed up and unless you want to walk the trails which we did and loved. I forgot to mention the deer. There were deer everywhere and they were not afraid of people. You could be rather close and watch them. There are a few pictures of the deer. That was exciting.

We moved to Georgia in 2018 and was looking for a place locally with primarily “easy” camping and fishing (if easy camping is a term - lol). Anyhow, I came across the states parks website and was surprised to find this area in McCormack, SC. So, we decided to call and book a reservation for a weekend fishing/exploring get away. We stayed in the cabins (they have some homes you can reserve as well as a hotel). The cabin was very nice and clean. I loved that they had kitchen where you could cook your own meals. It was cozy and we enjoyed having the bbq pit/picnic table area right out in front. We also, loved the lake area! Very relaxing and gorgeous sunsets. We enjoyed our stay so we went back again in 2021 and plan to make it a yearly getaway.

Stayed in the 400's lodge. Very clean and comfortable room with thick white down bedding and pillows. No microwave in lodge. Plenty of shampoo, conditioner and body wash since they're wall mounted.

Friendly staff and great breakfast. Rec area had a kids talent show going on when we arrived. Very cute. Washers and dryers though one washer was broken.

Beautiful pool and Pickleball area. Located on top of a hill so biking is a challenge in cruisers. Definitely in the foothills. Water is beautifully clean and warm. Loved the resort. It is a great place to bring a family or spend time as a couple.

Loved the back porch of the room the best. Nothing like coffee and sunrise though you won't get the best sunrise view from the 400's. Looking out at the water, the sun rises on the left.

Overall, I loved it and will definitely be back again.

This is a great place to visit. There is enough to do onsite to keep you busy all weekend. The restaurant is great and all the people working there are very friendly.

Our second time here and we made sure we got a site on the water. Great park! Beautiful views. Waking up and seeing the lake is spectacular! Challenging and reasonably priced 18 hole course on site. Breakfast buffet was good!! We will be back next year!!

We were on a hunting trip. We were the only tenants during our stay, due to being the "off-season". The room was clean. Everyone was friendly. Maybe next time we will have time to try the golf course.

We camped here for 2 days. Beautiful, spacious site lakeside. No bugs, which was surprising for mid May. Also did some archery, played 2 rounds of golf, and mountain biked both of their trails. There's a restaurant on site as well serving 3 meals a day. Only knock would be that their tennis courts have no nets and has weeds growing through the concrete. Despite that, well worth the value! Has skeet also. Must make reservations for it and archery as well. One of my favorite state parks in South Carolina.

As far as golf, this is definitely the place to be, very well kept, the golf course is beautiful, the rolling hills, you think you are in the mountain foot hills. BEAUTIFUL, and then some! BTW. Don't forget to check out the resturant, they are very good and the food is exceptionally good, they definitely go the extra mile to please there customers, and it is so clean, and while you are at it, check our the nice pool, And if you like playing Goff on hills you are at the right place, you get beauty and excercise all at the same time, check this place out, hope this helps.

Scenic 7 mile trail through the Forrest but peaks to the lake. Lots of fallen trees and mostly shaded. Great hike!

Went for an outdoor retreat and loved it! Great scenery and awesome sunsets! Great facilities for meetings and an onsite restaurant. One bathhouse is being rebuilt but otherwise the campsites are nice. Close but separate enough for privacy.

Beautiful facilities in a beautiful location. Every type of accomodations from tent camping to hotel style rooms to whole cabins. Nice looking fol course, and pretty setting right on the lake. Would love to come back here and camp a few nights.

Just returned from a business conference. The accommodations were exceptional. The newly remodeled 400 block lodge rooms compared to a Hilton property. The restaurant served up tasty treats and at a fair price. The lake scenery was gorgeous and the mountain bike trails were challenging.
