Jackson County Sheriff Department

Had 2 inmates that I had to serve papers on. The staff were very polite and easy to deal with. They produced both of my inmates promptly and without delay, making the procedure smooth. If I ever have inmates that I have to serve papers on I can rest easy that these fine folks won't waste my time and I'll know that the job will be as pleasant as possible.

I've seen these folks in action 2 times, serving the public; once helping a person who could have died without their help (deer accident). I recently moved here and so far I am impressed with the local police/law enforcement.

Tonight sheriffs responded to a call about someone in a yard with a gun and a hatchet. The moment they arrived the situation was handled in a very professional manner. During the confrontation the sheriff's handle the situation calmly and with concern for the person they were there to apprehend. At no time were the sheriff's aggressive ,only wanting to settle the situation. This was an example of proper public service. We are impressed with the Sheriff and the sheriff's deputies of Jackson county.and would like to thank them for their professionalism and concern for the us and the other citizens of this county. And in cases like tonight the safety of the person they were to apprehend.good job.

I was contacted by one of these deputies at 10pm on a Wednesday evening and threatened with a warrant for harassment. This was a few days after uncovering the fraudulent use of my late fathers' ss# by my dishonest sibling. A simple phone call to the probate court would have confirmed that she had not been appointed, that no will was filed or probated and that no "estate" exists, as she implied to the deputy. Although the young deputy was very kind to me, I do not appreciate the threat. This was just another attempt by a fraudster to avoid detection and flip the table on me, the whistleblower to her wrongdoing. She used, lied to and duped your deputy to do so and got away with it. I contacted my late fathers' attorney the following morning and he confirmed that she has no business using his ss# on any account as probate was never done and no "estate" exists but in her own mind for her own fraudulent benefit.

Well the visitation is not good at all they lie to you all the time they treat the family's like they were criminals too just because there loved one is in jail and made mistakes don't mean I have or to treat me like I was trash I'm sorry but I am a human too and I have feelings its not nice to be lied too most of my visits were not long as they were supposed to be they say 30 min I got maybe 15 mins or less then when they moved it to an hr I only got 30 mins its not right or fair how they treat people we don't even get to actually see them anymore either its through a TV screen I could understand if you lived to far to visit them but if you live kind of close I think they should have it were you can see them through glass again.

They need to hire someone to do the administrator's job. Tammy can't seem to sign the paperwork in the time frame given. This causes alot of unnecessary problems for others. I hope I can reach out to the right person to make some changes.

Terrible service. I called on october 2nd to file a report. They took my name and number. Here it is the 10th of october and still no call. I called there 3 times. Still waiting.

Been trying to get them to file a report for two weeks on a bracelet and ring took from my 90 year old dad haven't heard a thing been ahold of them twice what can I do I have the guy on my phone recorded confessing to the crime he sold it in Cookeville maybe I
can get them to do something
