Mary K. Henson, DO

Dr. Henson has been my PCP for almost 6 years. She’s an awesome doctor. She’s compassionate, kind, funny, and always, always immediately puts in referrals and orders right after our visit. I can depend on her regarding my medical care and, I feel, she really cares about my well being. I think anyone would be lucky to have her as their family doctor because she is so dependable and dedicated to her patients. I wish Houston Methodist would send out satisfaction surveys to her patients. It’s been years since I received one and I regularly have scheduled visits with her for everything. I believe Dr. Henson deserves to appreciated for her quality care as a physician.

Dr. Henson is by far the best PCP I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Dr. Henson listens intently, and actively works with her patients to find the root cause(s) of their issues. She explains things thoroughly and really makes sure that her patients understand everything. I also love that Dr. Henson actually spends time in the room with me when I go in. She is not the typical "in and out" doctor, but instead actually cares about her patients! She is extremely knowledgable, but also easy to talk to and understand. I could go on and on about how she is the best doctor I have visited, but I will sum it up with the following: I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Henson to anyone seeking a new PCP or family doctor.

I have been seeing Doctor Henson for over 10 years now, she is one of the best physicians that I have ever seen and I’m 63 years old. She takes the time to find out what’s wrong with you and to get you the treatment that you need.

My husband and I LOVE doctor Henson! She is very thorough! She takes all the time we need when she comes in. She is not a doctor in roller skates, see how fast they can get in and out, so she can have more patients. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Mary Henson is AMAZING! She takes the time to really listen and even shares her own health experiences and personal knowledge of certain medicines and it's positive and negative side effects. She is very knowledgeable but also approachable, which is what I think I like most about her. I have never once felt, "judged" or not "heard" when I was talking to her about my health needs. Would recommend her to anyone!

I have used Dr. Henson for years as well as my two children . I even referred numerous friends to her. I have found that she was always a great listener to any and all issues. The is thorough and honest. I feel integrity and knowledge makes a great dr.

Her office staff are too. I have been seeing them for 5 years and will keep seeing her.

When I get wellness exams done, I understand they cover wellness/prevention. Not acute complaints. If she covers extra, awesome! Super happy patient :) if not, I can always make another appointment if I feel it's necessary.

Dr. Henson is very throw with me. If i have any questions she helps me understand whats going on. When i email her on the app thing she answers me back with in a same day or a couple of days. She dont rush. She listens to what i have to say.

She is a very good doctor. She will spend time with you and go after the root of your problem. I highly recommend her!!
