Tequila's Mexican Restaurant

Went for a late lunch around 2pm...perfect time btw! Not super busy and the place was extremely clean! Started with a Sangria marg and a watermelon marg with a chamoy/tajín rim! Delicious 😋!! Salsa was fire! So fresh and great flavor! I had the Tequila plate (homemade flautas) which was perfect! My partner had the Carne Guisada! The flavor of this entrée was next level! Also, the chilies 🌶 🌶 🌶 next to it on the menu mean what they stand for! This has a kick for sure!!! Beware! This was a great place for lunch and we will be back!

Delicious food with large portions. We had a large and small nachos but we could have shared one of them.

There are so many wonderfully positive observations that hit me as soon as I walked into this restaurant! First of all, it is immaculately clean. The first food to make its way to our table were the tortilla chips and salsa. the chips are incredibly thin and crispy, and the salsa is an apt introduction for those who do not like overly spicy flavors. For those who do enjoy something a bit more picante, there is a creamy salsa verde and a flavor-focused habanero with a delicious burn at the end! Moving on to the main dish, the BBQ tinged richly spiced pollo and beef adovada was a generous portion accompanied by flavorful beans and rice with salad and guacamole on the side. Finally, the staff performed admirably, especially with the attentiveness of our server Alma and the "jefe," Leo. Wish we lived a little closer than Georgia to eat at this brilliant Texicostaurant!

Great tacos! Portions are generous, they’re huge. Gaby taco with chicken was unique. Al pastor and asada tasted like good quality meats. Charro beans taste very authentic. Agua de Jamaica and horchata are made in house, also huge portion. Service was a little slow but food is worth it. We will definitely be back.

Tequila’s! My favorite Mexican Restaurant in this area. The staff is always friendly. Always greeted with a smile. Food is amazing! It is fresh, hot, homemade, and delicious! Few of my favorites are the Carne Adovado and the Tacos Al Pastor! On this particular visit I decided to try something a little different. I had the Shrimp fajitas and my husband had the Shrimp Diabla! He was warned by the waitress that this Dish was very spicy. Spicy but delicious! She was absolutely correct. It was out of this world. If you have a chance, stop in. Enjoy the friendly service and delicious food. Ask for the green sauce with your chips and salsa!

What a surprise! We were quite wary going into any restaurants in Port Arthur but this was a nice gem! Food was fantastic and service impeccable 👌 😋 clean modern decor. Would definitely eat here again if I ever just absolutely need to come back to Port Arthur.

Great place to eat. Free green sauce AND red sauce. Food is great. I recommend the adovada. I just wish they had some healthier options, like a chicken bowl or a plate of meat / rice only. Etc...

This is my go-to Tex-Mex joint. Food is consistently good, and the staff is exceptional. It is a real hometown, neighborhood place where everyone knows everyone.

Very good food nice staff the owners are nice people they take very good care of there customers I've been going there for many years and sat at the same table.

Great pricing and fantastic customer service plus the food was good. We never ran out of anything and our waitress was so patient and kind. We'll be going back for sure.

Was at place last weekend on Saturday. Very nice place, love it and staff is so sweet... but annoy is when people have to stand up from table, chatting show phones around while block the hallway where bathrooms is. That's little disrespectful... People want stand up chatting, then pls stay out of path where it lead to bathroom, It not really fair that they have to stand blocked while try get through to bathroom. So I hope people who see this next time u want stand up chatting, make sure stay out of pathway to bathroom 😬😊

Generous portions, wide range of choices on the menu. Clean and wait staff was very attentive.

Delicious food, excellent service, even with our large group. Definitely couldn't have asked for more. Will be back.

Great as always ! I have been eating here on and off for approximately 20 years… I always enjoyed everything I have ordered… if not then the employees have been very eager to exchange for something else… I honestly can’t remember anything I didn’t like though . Great food and exceptional service!
