This is a great place to visit if you are going to Boston. There is a lot of history here and some good exhibits. The house is quite large with knowledgeable staff who are eager to help. It has really lovely gardens around which you can walk.
Well worth a visit.

It is a historic place with two American presidents’s residences. I went on a time this place closed due to the season so I could not get inside. The outside view is ancient and solemn. I enjoy the beautiful surrounding garden pretty much. I would be back soon in the future

Such a lovely historical site. In the tour youll learn the history about how Adams became a lawyer, where he lived, where he worked, then you go into the big house, its gardens and the most beautiful library youll see. You cant miss this gem.

If you want the full tour (both Adam's birthplaces and peace field) it's ~2 hrs and costs $15. The guides were super engaging and had wonderful stories that really kept us engaged even though we're not really into American history. Overall a great way to spend a few hours.

Ever since I read David McCullough's "John Adams", and the watching the HBO series of the same name, I have really wanted to come here. John and Abigail Adams made this their long awaited "forever home" after so many years of service to their country. When you tour the home, perhaps you will like it as much as they did. I loved the gardens and the separate library building erected to house all of Adam's books. Our National Park Ranger gave a wonderful tour here.

We took the tour, and it was well worth it. The park rangers were so professional, passionate and informative. I would highly recommend taking the tour and spending some time on the grounds.

We had a pair of amazing tour guides! They shared lots of fun stories about the family and found a way to make the historic educational tour relevant!

I’ve been to a lot of parks but this one has by far the most factual tour ever I think. You can go into about 4 of the historical homes, you technically don’t need a mask although the website says you do. Parking is almost impossible unless you use the garage, which they can validate for you if you go to the visitors center. Sadly you can’t read any of the books in the library.

We spent a week in Boston / Cape Cod and this was the highlight of my trip. I could not have enjoyed it any more than I did. I love and respect John and Abigail Adam's to the fullest. And seeing where their legacy began and ultimately continued was a personal honor. God bless the Adam's and God bless America.

Stoped in on November 17, 2023 and it was closed for the season and will open June 7, 2024. House was closed but could walk around the grounds.

Walked around the grounds and meet the groundskeeper/Gardner who gave us a talk about the plants, size and what it was like in around there when the Adams lived there.

Don’t know his name but you can tell he was into his job. I suggest you create another tour with him as the guide for the grounds around the house. Did a great job and I thank you. Will be back for the house tour in 2024.

Highly recommend the trolley tour and short video beforehand narrated by Tom Hanks. Lots of history in the homes and library. If you live in Quincy or are just visiting take this tour!

Beautiful house owned by the Adams family from after the Revolution into the 20th century. Image is of the stone library exterior.

Tour is well worth the $15. Lasts about 2 hours. Tickets are first come, first served, and they sell out fast.

30 minute video can be seen here. Nice gift shop. And helpful, knowledgeable rangers.

The park ranger Allison was an excellent story teller & full of facts. Her enthusiasm made the trip worthwhile. Fun fact - the 2 houses (John Adams & son John Quincy Adams) have nearly all original material including flooring.

The well preserved personal library of John Quincy Adams, our fourth President, behind the main house on this property that he inherited from his famous father and mother, is well worth visiting. Gave me a new appreciation for just how much both President Adams valued the never ending search for the truth. Would that our current politicians were as diligent.
