Best home cooking in town!! The chef is a veteran and culinary trained, but he gets back to his roots with this amazing food. I'm super picky about mac and cheese and rarely eat it, but it's the best! Everything is AWESOME!! They are only open for lunch only and on Friday nights until 8:00. Go once and you will be hooked!!!

Best soul food hands down. Their yams are amazing, better than any yams I’ve tried. I got Brisket & was given a huge amount + two sides to finish (mash potatoes & Mac and cheese) all so unique with their own ingredients. Everything was amazing about Pappy G’s and will definitely be revisiting!

We were heading to the brewery across the street and they recommended we grab food at Pappy G's. Unfortunately it was a Wednesday and Pappy qas not open. My husband knocked on the door and my three year old followed suit yelling "open up door!" We shushed the kiddo and started backing away then, the door opened. The man in the red hat was so sweet. He politely explained their hours and invited us to return the next day. Gave my son a high five and some banana bread for the road.

The next day, we returned for lunch. Let me just say BEST FRIES CHICKEN!!! Perfect crisp on the outside, even after sitting in the takeout container for 30mins. The meat was so juicy and the sides....to die for! Collards and mac and cheese demolished in a few minutes. Have me wishing you all were still on Pat Booker!

The food at Pappy G's was like I remember from Kushla Alabama, where I grew up. I won't name any one dish (except the ribs and the collards) and all the rest. Darn it was good. They gave me such a pile of ribs that I thought I would never eat all of them but I did. Anyway try it. Patronize Flour Bluff businesses.

New place in Flour Bluff on NAS. We went for lunch and had the fry chichen lunch special. Let me say it was good as grandma's. I had the green and slap my leggs they were superbly cooked just right.what can you say about the staff, they are just like family sit down visit and make sure everthing is just to your liking. And we got to sample the ribs all I can say is your in heaven at the first bite.Very reasonable prices too.When you check out don't forget to take home some of there homemade bananas bread for later it's yummy yum 😋 yum.Hope y'all go support our local business and local owner and believe me you won't leave hungry 😆.

I thoroughly enjoyed and was a regular at the San Antonio location. The food and service was always amazing. When it shut down, I was disheartened, but learning of the Corpus location, I will be visiting when given the chance.
