Hampton Inn by Hilton Columbus South Fort Moore

I left a dress in my room during a recent stay. I called and was told I would receive an email with a cost to mail back. I just received the dress in the mail. I thought it had been forgotten and didn't' want to go through the hassle of reaching out again. Thank you to the staff for the follow through and great customer service. It did not go unnoticed and certainly stands out these days! Also, our stay was hassle free, convenient to the post and very clean :)

This place was great from the moment we walked in. We were greeted with a warm smile and hello from everyone at the desk each time we walked in. It was neat and clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was good and the ladies all greeted you as if they were welcoming you into their own home. The location was near right where we needed to be. We really enjoyed our stay!

Excellent!! This hotel is well maintained and the location is a great plus. Check in was fast and efficient. All rooms were booked at the time of my stay, yet the hotel was very clean and staff were very welcoming.

The rooms are spacious and there’s surprisingly strong water pressure in the shower. I also enjoyed the complimentary soaps and lotion.

Breakfast was splendid (especially the coffee). There was a great assortment of foods and drinks and everything was nicely laid out. Highly recommend.

This was my second time staying here when I needed to be nearby Fort Moore. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly and professional. Free all-day coffee and the free cookies in the evening were a nice plus!

Sharon is the BEST! She was so welcoming and showed us where everything was. So nice and professional. We will only be staying at Hilton properties for future stays anywhere we travel and I have to say it’s because of her!!

My family stayed at this hotel when attending my son’s graduation from the military. The hotel arranged a welcoming and congratulations get together for all the soldiers who graduated on Nov 17 which was a wonderful surprise. The hotel is clean, staff with a great customer service. As a Gold Hilton member, I was not disappointed at all! Bravo

Room was great, staff was wonderful, breakfast was good. It is just north of the main entrance to Fort Moore and right next door to the Infantry Museum, which is a great museum!! If you're coming to see family or friends on base its a great place. Ten to 15 mins from great places to eat in downtown and midtown Columbus.

Convenient location next to infantry museum. Very nice hotel lounge/ eating area and rooms are very well maintained.

This is next door to the most amazing museum I've been to, the Infantry Museum. Then, it's really close to the gate / Visitor Center at Ft.Moore. The staff are friendly and rooms are clean. Nice bedding, HBO for free , Wifi, fridge and microwave in the room. They have great shampoo and bath gel. There's a regular tub not too fancy. Nice bathroom though. Blowdryer provided.
Room has coffee pot. but they have free coffee in the lobby. Their breakfast is good with eggs, sausage,potatoes, waffles, bagels etc. Great common area and very helpful staff and to top it off......free fresh baked cookies.

we had a reservation that had gotten a little messed up. We called the reservation line and had no luck, but we called the hotel and Kennedy helped us out very much got us taken care of and made our trip. Thank you Kennedy for doing the right thing and helping us you are the best.

My husband and I found refuge here as we left Florida during Hurricane Idalia. We were treating with kindness and respect as soon as we checked in. The hotel was clean and cheery. We loved all the military themed decorations. The breakfast was hot and plentiful. We would stay here again.

Very nice and clean. We hated the pillows. They were feather pillows, no volume at all. Other than that. Our stay was great. We spent a lot of time at the pool.

We just stayed here all last week (3/17-3/24) and we had a wonderful stay. Not only is it a beautiful hotel but also very close to Benning, clean and dog friendly. The employees were all very kind and polite anytime I encountered anyone. There is lots of seating areas to hang out in, an outdoor pool w seating and lounge chairs, a gym and a business center.
Our dog stayed with us as well and this by far one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in that was dog friendly. Our dog was always treated great by staff and I was told she could hang out w me downstairs in seating areas as long as she didn’t disrupt any of the other guests. They have a designated dog area where they may use the bathroom and have a station with a trash can and poop bags.
There is also daily breakfast served and it always seemed to have various options. Their waffle station was my favorite as their mix was amazing, so fluffy. Highly recommend staying here if you are attending military graduations at Benning.

The staff also set up a congratulatory sign with cake and water on Friday 3/24 as they knew several graduations would take place on Benning that day. I thought that was incredibly sweet!

Peaceful and beautiful location adjacent to the National Infantry Museum....one of our finest Museums in the country.

I loved everything about this hotel. The grounds and inside were very well kept, and the whole place smelled fresh. The pool area was nice and clean also. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast, but tasty. They had bagels, breads, muffins, fruit, waffle making station, scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, and yogurt. The staff was very helpful and polite. My family and I enjoyed our stay very much. The one little thing I would have liked to see at this hotel was USB plug ins for our chargers. They didn't have any in our room. Luckily I brought a charger box.

We loved the hotel! Our experience was great, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable beds. The included breakfast was wonderful, staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. keep in that way!

Upon arrival: The location of this hotel is FABULOUS! There is nothing around the hotel, so it is quiet and peaceful. You are also right in town with a 2 minute drive and the hotel is located right outside of Fort Benning. The landscape is beautiful and the grounds are kept nicely and trash free. It is a new hotel and very clean. There was plenty of parking. The hotel is located in a VERY SAFE LOCATION! Very important when visiting Columbus.
Check-In: Check in was fast and friendly! I was greeted, with a smile, as soon as I walked in the door. After Check in, I was told where my room was and also where to find the complementary breakfast in the morning.
Room: The rooms are very clean and spacious. They have a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot in every room. I was very surprised to find a bath/shower combo; not many hotels have bathtubs any longer. There were plenty of towels, complementary soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion as well. The beds are super comfortable and covered with quality bedding and pillows.
Extended rooms: The extended rooms are very large, with a kind bed, (or whatever queen), a desk to work at, a sofa and a bar area. They offer all the amenities that the "regular" rooms offer. They also have a very large closet! I was nicely surprised at the extended room. I highly recommend this room! It is worth the extra money, especially if you plane to stay a few nights.
The manager on duty was Sebastian Villa. He was super kind, personable, professional and made sure my stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed. It is rare that I see a manager of a hotel interacting with guest the way he did. He made us feel right at home as soon as we walked in. When leaving, Sebastian made sure to speak to us, asking how our stay was, how everything was, what we thought of the room and if we were happy with our stay. He also referred to us by name. SUPER NICE!
I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for anyone! Families coming to visit their Soldier, people coming for business, pleasure or anything else. Also, don't forget to ask for the extended room!

If you are visiting the Fort Moore area for any reason, but especially for any graduation ceremony, the comfort and convenience of this hotel cannot be beaten. Good value for the comfort, cleanliness, and location of the hotel.

If you are visiting this area for business or pleasure or perhaps attending a local event for a family member the location and support from the management and staff of this hotel is world class and best in class. While everyone has sensitivity too budget the location and amenities adequately provide savings that should not be overlooked in planning your travel to this destination. Safety and comfort as well as support are readily apparent from the management and staff making this my first choice for this destination especially after hearing from other travelers the complaints and problems experienced elsewhere. I was a bit reluctant at first to book this property with my budget concerns but afterwards realized I met my budget goals by hidden costs avoided such as extra transportation as well as feeling safe and secure, the breakfast is awesome as well. I have traveled extensively in my life and gave myself a pat on the back for choosing this property in advance when at first I was indecisive about doing so, and especially so, after hearing others tell their stories about arriving at other locations and having to switch to a safer and closer location such as found here.
